Adlina's POV

"Alright. I will be coming for you in seven days, Adlina Redfang," Alpha Hendrick Grayson said, his voice filled with joy.

I hung up on him, my tears streaming down my face uncontrollably.

For years, Hendrick had pursued me repeatedly, asking me to be his Luna so we could share the moonlight and power of the Blackstone Pack together. However, I kept turning him down in the past because I was still in love with Alpha Brandon Clawhill, the Alpha of the Silvermoon pack.

Yet, as I looked at the 99 intimate photos of him and Gwyneth Howler on my phone, I ultimately smiled.

Since Brandon loved Gwyneth's body that much, I would just let them have their way.

I silently went back to my room to pack up my things. Just then, Brandon suddenly contacted me via mind-link.

"Adlina? Go and buy me three boxes of condoms and send them over to Gwyn's place. Remember to buy the strawberry-flavored ones."

I tightened my fist as I bit down on my lip until it turned white.

When he realized that I wasn't replying to him for a long time, he lowered his voice and threatened, "Listen to me and do as I say. Gwyn doesn't want to carry pups yet, and I don't want her to suffer the side effects of taking any medication. Don't you know how detrimental it is for she-wolves to be on the pill?"

I felt him deliver another blow straight to my heart.

I didn't want to carry pups yet either. My mind flashed with memories of sleeping with him, when I asked him to please use condoms, and how he coaxed me otherwise.

"Can't we just do it bare, Lina? It doesn't feel good when I'm wearing it. Just take the morning-after pill when we're done. You'll be fine."

After that, he would eagerly strip me down, kiss me, and take me for his own pleasure.

And yet, now, he was telling me that morning-after pills were detrimental to health.

So, it was only detrimental to Gwyneth if she took it, but it wasn't for me?

I could feel him still comforting Gwyneth on the other end of the mind-link. The foreign feeling of him showing his gentleness and affection to someone else other than me felt like a million needles prickling against my skin.

My eyes turned moist with tears as I forced a bitter smile on my lips.

He didn't even bother hiding his affair with her anymore after I found out about it.

I blocked him from my mind-link, not wanting to listen to his voice anymore. I then stared at the photo of Brandon and me on our bedroom wall and suppressed my feelings as I packed up all my things.

At that moment, I received a video on my phone.

The video was a recording of everything filthy that they did in bed. They were at it nonstop throughout the entire video, and even did it in several different positions at a time.

Just then, Gwyneth's voice message arrived.

"Lina, Donny said that your boobs are way too small for him and feel worse than mine. He doesn't even like doing it with you because your body is not as curvy and voluptuous as mine. I'm just so irresistible to him that he can't stop taking me over and over again, you know?"

Her blatantly provocative words sent me into a shaking rage, but I simply couldn't tear my eyes away from the sex video.

There was a broken tie pin on the floor next to the bed. It was a gift that I'd given to Brandon on our first anniversary together.

Back then, he had put it on his tie in a very emotional manner and told me, "I'm so happy, Lina! I promise that I will always wear it with me!"

It had been many years since then, and no matter how often he changed his ties, he would always use the tie-pin I gave him.

I once told him to switch it out for a newer one, but he said, "This is proof of your love for me. I'm not getting rid of it."

But now, this item symbolizing our love for each other was trampled on and lying broken on the floor.

I wiped off the tears from my face and said in a low voice, "I've given up on you, Brandon Clawhill."

I was leaving him for good in seven days.
