Ella's POV

I knew that I had been the one to suggest that we go through this path but as we kept on walking along the unknown path, I found myself wishing that I was right and it led home.

I really hoped that I wasn't leading the men to their damnation. I realized a minute ago that I had made a decision as the Luna of the pack and the weight of being a leader and having the lives of these men resting on my shoulders was a huge responsibility that I didn't mind taking a break from even though I had just started.

I realized how tensed Kevin must have been as he led us through the mountains and rivers to get us home, knowing that we could survive or die. It must have been a huge burden on him.
