Thorian

"What's going on?" A few folks in the meeting room stopped and asked as the guards' voices from the hallway echoed into the hall.

"I don't know...." someone started to reply when the door got shoved open all of a sudden, and a guard strode in. He bowed his head while reporting the problem to the beta sitting with us.

"Beta, the girl you locked in the dungeon has escaped, and lord Kaelen is badly injured by her," he reported.

Everyone let out a gasp, but I could hardly wrap my head around whatever was going down between them, and honestly, I didn't give a damn.

Whatever it was, it had nothing to do with me. I'd only shown up here for one main purpose, and I had to get that done before heading back.

"Alpha, is the issue out there serious? If it's not, then I'd recommend putting the meeting on hold so we can all head back to our spots, and the beta can handle the mess fully," I suggested after spotting the change in the beta's expression. From his look, it was obvious he wanted to jump up and trail that guard right away to hunt for the girl the guard had mentioned.

"You're right about that, Alpha Thorian. We'll keep going with the meeting," the Alpha agreed, and we carried on.

Sneaking a couple of looks at the beta, I saw he was fighting to stay composed while fidgeting, just waiting for the meeting to wrap up so he could bolt. Good thing it finished up not long after.

Heading out of the meeting room, I frowned noticing the entire pack in total chaos with guards scrambling everywhere. But I couldn't care less about their frenzy, and instead, I headed out of the pack house and into the thick woods where my wolf started acting all restless out of nowhere.

I could sense it itching to break loose from inside me.

It was like my guts were knotting up. This was the first time anything this weird had hit me, and I froze in place as the sensation ramped up the more I tried to brush it off.

There had to be danger around; that had to be why it was so worked up. I decided as I finally tuned into the uneasy vibe.

"What's the issue?" I asked.

"Mate... our mate is out here, and she's in danger. She's hurt," my wolf let me know.

Mate? I had a mate, and she was out here? I glanced around in total confusion. I'd figured I didn't have a mate, and this bombshell made me stop to try and process what was really going on. My mate was here, and she was injured?

Where was she? I raised my head, sniffing the air for any scent. Anything that could set off my wolf now would help, and sure enough, mixed with the bush and dirt smells, I picked up this unique scent I'd never caught before.

I tracked the scent right away while pushing through the thick forest. It was getting dark already with the sun sinking below the horizon, throwing an orange glow over the woods. I came to a sudden stop when I spotted something on the ground... or was it someone? I narrowed my eyes, but the fading light made it tough to figure out who it was.

As I got nearer, I saw it was a beautiful girl.

She was at my boundary. The scent came from her, and as I approached, the smell of blood blended with that amazing aroma. I knelt down, and I felt my wolf scratching at my insides again.

What happened to her? She seemed all beaten up and roughed up. Who did this to her?

Her face had smears of blood, and her exposed skin was marked with wounds as she lay there naked on the ground.

She looked half dead and defenseless. Something about how she appeared made me clench my jaw in rage. I slipped off my coat, wrapped it around her, and scooped her up in my arms without wasting time.

She needed care fast since her heartbeat was fading slowly. Through the mind link, I reached out to my brother quick.

"Soren, I need you in my room right now. I just found my mate," I told him via the link while hurrying back to the pack house. The guards nearby eyed her form in my arms with worry, and some offered to lend a hand, but they assumed she was just some random find from the woods, not knowing she was my mate.

I couldn't fault them for thinking that way since it was pretty unusual to see me carrying another woman in my arms like this. After making it through the dimly lit and silent hallway, I reached my room and set her down softly on the bed.

Where was he? I linked him again just as the door swung open and Soren came in.

"What's the problem, Thorian?" Soren asked as he hurried into the room.

"You said you've found your mate," he sounded puzzled but moved fast toward the bed to begin checking her, though he stopped short with an intense stare fixed on her.

What was up with him? Why wasn't he examining her like he should?

"What? Is something wrong? Is her condition that bad?" I asked, trying to read his stunned look.

"Is she dead?" My heart skipped as the thought crossed my mind.

No, I could still pick up her heartbeat, so she was alive, but why was he staring at her like that? I was starting to lose my cool, but he turned to me calmly.

"T-the girl. Your mate. She's also my mate," he revealed, leaving me shocked as this hit me hard. My mate was also his mate? How was this even possible?

The door to the room got pushed open suddenly, and Vaelin walked in.

"Brother, what's going on? I came right away when I heard you'd arrived," he said while heading to the bed, but he froze a few feet back as he looked down at her. His eyes went wide with shock all over his face.

"Mate?"

LyraMy eyes burned with a fierce, restless energy as I moved back and forth across the space I had been confined to, every step a reminder of the boundaries hemming me in. My heart hurt with a deep, gnawing ache for my mates, and the helplessness of not being able to reach them was building into something I could barely contain. My jaw clenched, muscles tight, like my body was physically holding back the urge to just run. The air around me felt charged, heavy with everything I was feeling, like even the trees beyond the fence could sense the storm inside me. With every moment that passed, it only got worse — the frustration, the desperation, all of it coiling tighter and tighter. My wolf stirred, picking up on my distress. Nyssa’s presence settled around my mind like something warm and steady, a quiet contrast to the chaos churning inside me. “Calm, Lyra,” Nyssa murmured, her voice soft as rustling leaves. “Let us think this through.”I pulled in a slow breath and let Nyssa’s calm wa

  • Rejected…Then Claimed By Three Alphas    Chapter 56

Thorian’s POVMy eyes moved across the pages, but none of it was going in. The numbers and figures blurred together while my mind stayed stuck on the same thing it had been stuck on since Lyra disappeared. I kept seeing her — her smile, the way she laughed, the light in her eyes.I pressed my fingers against my temples and tried to pull my focus back. It didn’t work. My thoughts kept sliding back to her. Where was she right now? Was she okay? Did she think about me the way I thought about her?The office door eased open and Soren stepped in. “Hey, Thorian. How are you holding up?”I pushed the reports to the side and exhaled. “Honestly? I’m falling apart. I can’t get her out of my head.”He looked exactly how I felt. None of us had been ourselves since she went missing. Sleep had become almost pointless, eating felt like going through the motions, and every waking moment circled back to her — whether she was okay, whether she was being treated well, who had taken her and why. We still

  • Rejected…Then Claimed By Three Alphas    Chapter 55

LyraMy footsteps bounced off the cold stone walls as I moved back and forth across my small, dim room. I couldn’t shake the hollow, lonely feeling that had taken root in my chest. I missed my mates — Thorian, Soren, and Vaelin — with everything I had.I thought about their faces, the way they laughed, the warmth of their arms around me. I remembered how they made me feel — loved, wanted, safe. Tears gathered at the edges of my eyes as I wondered whether I’d get to see them again anytime soon.My mind drifted through the memories I had built with each of them. Thorian’s touch, always so careful and gentle. Soren’s unwavering protectiveness. Vaelin’s playful teasing that somehow always knew how to pull a smile out of me. My heart ached with longing, and without them near, I felt like something essential had been hollowed out of me.I missed our everyday rhythms — the laughter, the quiet moments, even the arguments and the making up after, because somehow those moments had always drawn

  • Rejected…Then Claimed By Three Alphas    Chapter 54

Vaelin’s POV My eyes narrowed as I turned the scrap of fabric over in my hands, my mind firing off question after question. Where had it come from? How did it end up here, of all places — my secret base? I lifted it to my nose and breathed in. Lyra’s scent hit me instantly, familiar in a way that made my chest tighten. But what was it doing here? My thoughts pulled me straight back to the last time I had seen Lyra, the memory of her disappearance sitting like a stone in my gut. I had been looking for her ever since — combing through the territory, pressing anyone who might know something — and coming up with nothing every single time. And now, this. I looked the fabric over more carefully. The edges were torn and roughed up, like it had been ripped from her clothes during a struggle. My pulse picked up, every instinct in me snapping to attention. This wasn’t random. Someone had been inside my base. Someone who had been with Lyra. I swept my gaze around the room, hunting for

  • Rejected…Then Claimed By Three Alphas    Chapter 53

LyraMy eyes drifted blankly across the walls of my luxurious prison, my mind heavy with thoughts of my mates. I missed them so much it hurt, the ache in my chest deepening with every day that passed. I wanted nothing more than to see them, to feel their warmth wrapped around me, to feel safe again. But I was stuck here, a prisoner of the alpha who had taken me. I had tried to find a way out, but every door was locked, every window sealed shut. I was completely at his mercy, left with nothing to do but wait for him to return. My thoughts turned dark as my mind circled back to the alpha. Why had he taken me? What exactly did he want from me? Every time I tried to ask, he’d just smile and tell me I’d find out soon enough. The door swung open, and the alpha stepped in, something knowing flickering behind his eyes. “Lyra, my dear, I can see you’re feeling a little… restless.”My eyes narrowed, my voice coming out flat and cold. “I want to go home. I want to be with the people who actually

SorenI couldn’t stop moving. Back and forth across Lyra’s room, my mind cycling through every worst-case scenario it could produce. She was never late — that was just who she was. And she would never go quiet without sending word. I had tried to convince myself it was nothing, just a delay, just a small thing. But the hours had kept passing and the room had stayed empty, and the knot in my stomach had only pulled tighter.I checked with Thorian and Vaelin. Neither of them had seen her. The knot became something worse. Had she been ambushed on her way to the grounds? Had someone gotten to her?Every instinct I had was telling me to move, to search, to do something — but I didn’t know where to point myself. I had already covered the surrounding areas, asked everyone I could find, sent word to our allies. Nothing had come back. No sign of her anywhere.By the time the sun started going down and the room filled with that quiet golden light, worry had become something sharper and colder.
