ALEKSANDER VON SINCLAIR

ALEK WAS IN a very bitter mood as he tossed his luggage into the back of his truck. He spread the map on the bonnet of the truck to get his bearings before he embarked on the journey. He put his finger on where he was on the map and then traced the path to the site he would be checking out first. With luck, that would be where Claire was. What were the odds?

"One in a million," he muttered to himself. If there was a moon goddess, this would be the best time for her to show herself by keeping Claire safe until he found her. "After all, Claire singlehandedly connected a pack of wolves back to you. Keep her safe," Alek prayed under his breath.

"You suddenly believe in the moon goddess now," Joram's voice came from behind.

Alek cursed and folded the map into his pocket as he turned. "I was going to leave before you had a chance to see me again."

Joram scoffed and hobbled forward with a walking cane.

"Are you sure you're alright?" Alek asked, concerned.

Joram waved

CLAIRE VON SINCLAIRI WOKE UP to the sound of some footsteps approaching. I did not know how long had passed. Had I been locked up in here for days? Or was it just an hour that felt longer than it was?My graceful host, Ava, came down with a tray of food. Her face was bland as she placed the tray on the floor and pushed it underneath the gate."How long have I been here?" I asked. "Tell me! Has a week passed?""Yes, a week has passed," she snapped, but I could hear the sarcasm dripping from her voice. It was hard to believe that the hate from this woman was not personal towards me. "You have been in here for just a day." She finally said.I sat down and drank some water. I looked from the meal to her face without touching it."There is no poison in there," she said in exasperation. "When we want to kill you, Luna, I want you to know that we are not going to kill you with poison. That is such a cowardly way to take a life.""Thank you for such comforting words," I muttered. She did not

ALEKSANDER VON SINCLAIRTHEY PARKED A few miles away from the gas station."This is a good place," Logan muttered. He lowered the window and put his head out. The night sky was well-lit with stars, but no moon."We will head out first thing in the morning," Alek muttered as he got out of the passenger seat. He sat on the car's hot bonnet and leaned on the windshield, looking at the sky.Logan joined him a minute later with a bag of chips. "Dinner." He said, chewing loudly. He crossed his ankles and followed Aleks's gaze."Why does this feel like you are getting more out of this than I am?" Alek asked without averting his gaze from the sky.Logan shrugged. "What do you mean?" He asked."You staggered into my territory looking haunted like you just escaped death," Alek said. "And yet you are here with me. On a road trip, without fear that I might kill you any moment for the affection you still have for my wife. Why?" Alek lowered his head and stared directly at Logan.Logan remained sil

ALEKSANDER VON SINCLAIRALEK WAS PISSED and in a very bad mood as they sped down the highway. "Am I still on the right highway?" He asked."You want to switch seats?" Logan asked. The map was spread out on the dashboard. "I don't mind driving for a while while you try to decipher this fucking map that must be hundreds of years old."Alek cursed under his breath. He tugged on his collar and scratched his neck in irritation and frustration. He looked at himself in the rearview mirror. His skin was red and blotched from constant scratching like he was having a skin reaction from a fake beauty product."This is fucking bullshit," Logan cursed."If you keep on hating the map like that, you won't be able to understand it," Alek muttered. "Give it to me," he snatched it and placed it over the steering wheel. His gaze flickered between the map and the road as he tried to read the map. "We are on the right path," he said."So I was reading it right all these while," Logan muttered."Don't mak

  • Rejected Twice: Redeemed by the Cursed Lycan   CHAPTER 153

CLAIRE VON SINCLAIRA HOT FLASHING pain in my lower abdomen made me wake up. It was a pulsing type of pain that blinded me. I groaned awake and tried to stand up but my head was banging. I was laid out on a cold concrete floor. There were no windows or source of light, so I could not tell how long I had been unconscious. "Hello?" I called, managing to sit up. With the sound of my voice, I could tell that the place was hollow. Like in a basement, or worse, an underground cave."Hello?!" I called again, "Is anyone out there?!"I stood up slowly, I was dizzy and my legs felt like Jelly. My eyes adjusted to the darkness, but it did not help much as I could barely make out where I was even with my wolf eyes. I closed my eyes and tried to listen instead, and I could hear faint sounds coming from a distance. I followed the sounds, walking and taking shuffling steps.I walked what might be 10 Feet then I came to a wall. I traced the wall around until I touched steel bars. I was locked in. Lik

ALEKSANDER VON SINCLAIRTHE HALL WENT silent after Alek said those words. Only the sound of Joram's fane tapping the floor as we went to a seat and sat down echoed."What - what do you mean by she's missing?" Logan managed to ask after a moment of silence. "Where did she go?""If we knew where she went, she wouldn't be missing, would she?""This is bullshit!" Logan cursed. "How did it happen? When did it happen?""It is nothing you need to concern yourself about, Logan," Alek said."I will concern myself about her whereabout because I - " he swallowed. "I love her."There was another moment of silence in the hall and the air was tense. All eyes seemed to be on Alek to see how he would react to Logan's confession, but his face remained bland, then he smiled coldly and said, "Let me handle finding and bringing her back safe.""You are going to find her?" Logan stood up. "I am coming with you.""You are going to eat and rest," Alek commanded. "Then you will talk with my brother about how
