Chapter 194

“Leonardo!” I called, bending to his level as tears streamed down my cheeks while I checked his wounds.

Raising my head to Dexter and his guards, I could tell that they were ready for war, and the fear of what these men wanted to do to us sent shivers down my spine. I took Leo’s hand in mine as I rubbed it.

“Cora, I’m fine.” He told me, but from his little groan, I could tell he wasn’t and was only saying this so I wouldn’t get worried.

“Leo, take a look at yourself, you’re not fine.” I told him, but he shook his head.

“I promise, I’m fine. It’s just an arrow.” He said, and with that, he pulled the arrow out of his shoulder as I gasped, some blood coming out of his shoulder as he threw the arrow to the floor.

Seeing the blood that was coming out of his shoulder, I tore off a piece of my dress as I wrapped it around his wound, trying to stop the bleeding, but even though it helped a lot, it didn’t do as much as I wanted and tears streamed down my cheeks as my heart sunk in pain.
