As Damon lay on his bed, he felt his body in untold agony as he tried to lay in a way which would reduce the pain.

Each breath he took was like a knife passing through his nose into his lungs and slicing it open.

“Looks like I also have some broken ribs”. He hissed in pain.

Looking down at his body, he noticed the bandages all around it, hiding the canvas of cuts and bruises all over his body which was a testament to his ordeal at the hands of Dean.

“I never thought it'll end like this”, he thought to himself. “I knew I would lose but not this badly”.

Shaking his head sadly, he winced in pain before staring at the ceiling above him. Recalling the event that led to his predicament, he sighed.

“I wonder if Avery is okay''. He said quietly to himself.

“I think you need to start worrying about yourself alpha”. His Beta, Victor walked into the room.

“Nice to see you too Victor”. Damon replied with a roll of his eyes.

“You know I am happy to see you alpha”. Victor said with a disarming smil
