"Yes, mom. I'll clean it up immediately after eating," Riana replied.
As Riana stepped closer to the dining table, she found no side dishes or vegetables there. Everything she had cooked was gone, causing her to shake her head softly.
"It's a good thing Rey didn't bring lunch, so I can eat," Riana said to herself while tightly hugging the lunch box in her hands.
There was indeed a feeling of disappointment in her heart, but Riana didn't want to think too far. Because according to her, thinking about it is not good for oneself, so as much as possible she restrained herself so that it would not become a burden of thought that would make her think badly.
Riana ate with gusto, she really liked the food menu this morning. Because, every time after Serly came Mayang would buy delicious side dishes, and vegetables in large quantities, so when she cooked them yesterday, there were still leftovers for breakfast this morning. When else would the woman eat well, usually every day she would eat simple dishes like salted fish or eggs. However, Riana was the only one who ate at home, Mayang, and Reynald never touched the food at all.
After finishing the meal, Riana would clean the dining table first, and then she would pile the dishes in the sink. The woman would wash the dishes when the other work was done, because according to Riana, washing dishes was not that hard. So she chose to prioritize cleaning the house, such as sweeping and mopping.
"Riana! Ouch my ass!" Mayang shouted in pain.
Riana hurriedly ran over with the mop handle when she heard her mother-in-law screaming inside. When Mayang screamed, Riana was on the porch mopping because she had finished inside.
"What's wrong, Mom?" asked Riana with a gasp.
"Are you going to kill me?!" shouted Mayang in annoyance, she was still sitting on the floor right in front of her room.
"What do you mean kill?" Asked Riana in surprise, she extended her hand to help Mayang up.
Mayang brushed off Riana's hand that wanted to help, she chose to stand up herself. "Don't pretend not to know, I know you intentionally mopped the floor with slippery like this. That's why I slipped on my way out!" Mayang accused irritably.
"I didn't have any bad intentions like you told me. The floor was slippery because I had just finished mopping it," Riana refuted Mayang's accusation.
Mayang chuckled, "What a useless daughter-in-law! You can't even mop, you can only eat, and sleep!" Mayang swore as she walked away.
Mayang walked out to her car clutching she sore waist from the fall with her mouth agape.
Riana sighed heavily, she never felt right in her in-laws' eyes. There was always something wrong according to Mayang, even though she had tried her best to do the best. She chose to continue the work that was still unfinished, there was still a lot of work piled up to be done by Riana.
Like washing clothes, there was a basin full of clothes soaking in the bathroom. Mayang never allowed Riana to wash with the washing machine, the washing machine was used to dry the clothes only. Because Mayang felt that washing there was never clean and wasted electricity, so Mayang always suggested scrubbing manually.
"Ugh! My waist feels like it's going to fall off," Riana complained as she gently massaged the sore spot.
However, she continued scrubbing the clothes that still had a lot left, because she had to make sure there wasn't a single stain on them.
"I've done my homework every day, but instead I'm told to just eat, and sleep," Riana muttered to herself.
Riana bemoaned her fate of not working right away, even though someone had offered her a pretty good job in the past. Riana got a scholarship because her grades were always good, even on campus she was one of the model students.
However, her love for Reynald made Riana let go of the opportunity, and she accepted her husband's proposal instead. Without spreading her wings in the career world because Reynald wanted her to, her husband only wanted a housewife, not a career woman.

Meanwhile, in the car, Mayang kept complaining about her aching waist, wanting to go to the masseur. Unfortunately she was already late for the socialite gathering, which was held every Monday.
"Hi," greeted Mayang as she sat on an empty seat.
"Hi," Mayang's friends replied in unison.
"That's why her hand keeps sticking to her waist, gout?" asked Santi, Mayang's socialite friend.
"No, Santi. It's just that I slipped at home," Mayang replied with a grimace.
"How come?" asked Desi.
"It's normal, Desi. That's Reynald's wife Riana, she's really incompetent as a wife, how could she mop the floor so slippery, that's why I fell," explained Mayang with a sad face made up.
"Oh my. You want to accept Riana as a daughter-in-law. If it was me, I'd have fired her as a daughter-in-law!" grumbled Santi, "do you want us to teach her a lesson?"
Time has flown by. Mayang has a hard time speaking, and walking now because she stroke paralyzed the right half of her body. She's having a hard time doing things on her own these days. The woman needs help with everything, from eating to using the bathroom."I got married to live well, not like this!" Diandra grumbled.Diandra's been on a rant all day, and Reynald's had it."Shut up! It's also because of you that my life has become unlucky!" Reynald blamed Diandra for his own mistakes, his usual way of deflecting responsibility."Ugh! You're the corrupt one, why am I the one to blame?" Diandra glared at her husband."Yes, because I'm married to you, everything is messed up! It's different when you're with Riana, especially since you know your husband doesn't work, and still goes shopping, so all the money you have left is gone to pay your debts. Now you have to look in the trash for food!" Reynald was furious at the thought."It's your own fault for being corrupt, and incompetent as a
Wira was relieved. Now that Riana had a family to protect, Wira was going to start the plan today, but he had to go to work first so his father wouldn't be suspicious of him.Wira decided to go to his office to see if he could talk to Lia. He wanted to know if she had taken him or not. However, when he was there for half a day, he couldn't find her anywhere, leaving him wondering where she was."Two cleaning services were fired yesterday," one of the women in the corner said.Women love to gossip. They gossip anywhere, and at any time, as long as they have friends to gossip with. This was helpful for Wira because if he asked one of the workers here, him felt that he would be reported to Subroto. Now, the man wanted to avoid Subroto knowing what he had done."Yes, I'm also confused as to why she was fired. The other guy is clear—her was accused of stealing. This guy isn't. She name was Lia, I think."The more convinced Wira was of what happened, the more he thought that Lia was delibera
"Mutia, get two drinks over here!" Riana looked at Mutia just before she brought Wira into her room office."Okay!" Mutia replied. After hearing Mutia's answer, Riana quickly stepped into her room office, which was inside the restaurant. Her uncle's room was now her own. Riana told the man to sit on the couch, then she took a seat across from Wira because it felt wrong to sit next to the man. They were alone now, and it didn't feel good to be close to a man who wasn't her husband."I'm sorry, I didn't defend you yesterday. It was all because my father threatened that if I did, you would be put in prison, and there he would make you disappear without a trace. He really would do it if I didn't comply. I'm afraid of losing you!" Wira said this with a pleading face, and Riana believed him."Do you believe what your father said? I was the one who stole the folder, and I didn't even know that it was a big project that you guys were going to participate in!" Riana emphasized every sentence sh
Desi didn't know where Riana was going because her had nowhere else to go. When she was kicked out of Reynald's house, Riana didn't know where her was going."You already know, there is evidence, and witnesses who say that she was the one who stole it. Even Wira, and I found the folder in her room!" Subroto wanted Desi to believe his words so that his wife would hate the woman named Riana."I've asked you before, why did she steal the folder? If I were her, I'd rather steal the gold, money, or valuables in this house!" Desi emphasized once again that Riana was not the thief."Maybe, she knows the folder is valuable, and wants to sell it to a company that competes with us," Subroto said, not wanting to give up on convincing Desi.Desi remained silent, not wanting to argue with Subroto about Riana. Subroto was a stubborn man, so it would be impossible to convince him otherwise. Desi felt like someone wanted to ruin Riana's reputation, but who? Why would someone accuse a good woman like
"Uncle, doesn't need to do it. Let's just drop the matter!" Riana didn't want her uncle to get revenge for what those people had done to her."They've been mean to you, so I'll take care of it. You just need to watch, and don't get involved!" Edo was furious with all those people; he wanted to teach them a lesson.Although Edo, Subroto, the owner of a large, and well-known company, had some reservations, he was determined to get justice for them."It's okay! I've tried to be sincere with what they did. I don't want to hurt Wira's father. Desi's aunt, his wife, has been very kind to me, and Wira has too." Riana didn't finish her sentence."Does Miss Riana like Wira? Sorry if I'm interrupting this conversation!" Mutia guessed that she had been watching Riana.Riana smiled at Mutia, and nodded her head. That was the only response she gave now because when talking about Wira, her felt sad. The woman had just been in a relationship, and it had to end like this. Riana wanted to take their r
"Yes. This restaurant is now yours, as you are the rightful heir! Oh, and by the way, introduce me as Mutia, the manager of this restaurant." Mutia extended her hand, introducing herself to she new boss.Riana accepted her hand without saying anything, still thinking about what had just happened. She was still surprised that her parents owned such a fancy, and big restaurant. Was it true that her parents owned this place? Riana still didn't believe it, thinking it was all a dream."Miss Riana?" Mutia touched Riana softly because she had been talking to her but there was no response."Uh, y-yes!" Riana stammered, surprised that she had been daydreaming."Would you like to take a tour of the restaurant?" Mutia asked, offering to show her around.Actually, sir Edo had told Mutia to take Riana around, and introduce her to the other subordinates."That's fine. But where do I put my stuff?" Riana asked, embarrassed to bring in her shabby-looking bag. Her hands hurt from carrying the bag."O
