After more than ten hours of exhausting travel, Ethan arrived at Mist Harbor in the Neutral Zone, covered in dust and weariness.

Ignoring his need for rest, he clutched the photo and followed the clues all the way to a seaside inn.

"This is it! This is where the magical beacon last appeared!"

Ethan stood in front of the blue wooden door, his wolf heart pounding violently against his ribs.

He straightened his clothes, took a deep breath, and raised his hand to knock.

Knock, knock, knock.

No one answered.

"Ivy? It's me, Ethan. I know you're in there. Open the door, please. Can we just talk?"

Still dead silence.

Panic set in. Ethan started pounding on the door panel. "Ivy! Come out! I know I was wrong. You can hit me, curse at me, just please don't refuse to see me!"

The massive commotion attracted the innkeeper.
