Perched on the edge of Katarina's bed, I sigh heavily as my eyes remain fixed on her unconscious form. The room is softly brightened by the bedside lamp, casting a gentle glow on her usually resilient demeanor, now fragile in repose.

My heartbreak to see her in this state.

“This is all Serafina’s fault. How could she be so ruthless?” I seethe in fury.

As the door creaks open, Katarina's brother's silhouette appears, weariness etched on his face.

Katarina’s unfortunate incident exposed a lot of unexpected things. With her family’s sudden appearance, I find myself discovering a facet of her life she had never shared.

“Is everything okay, Phillip?”

He shakes his head and responds in a subdued tone. “Alpha Damon is here. He's asking for you. My father mentioned you've gone to bed, and he tasked me with waking you up.”
