Chapter 140 - Once upon a time

  That was how long she had stared at her reflection in the mirror before packing her things hurriedly in a duffel bag, calling a cab, and heading back home.

   Once upon a time, someone had once told her that whenever you get to a point in life and you can't look at your reflection in the mirror without looking away then you need to know you're being untrue to even yourself.

   She couldn't remember who had told her those words perhaps her mom or one of her friends but all that didn't matter, all that did was that she had hidden for too long and cried hard too. She needed to start being true to herself. She owes herself that much she thought.

  It was raining when Maya arrived at the penthouse she shared with the girls. The house was locked and even though she knew that a spare key was kept under the foot mat just in case, she couldn't bring herself to use it.
