Part Seventy-Nine

Juniper looked at Ramos and fear filled her eyes. He was going to get them both killed.

“What are you planning to do?” Juniper asked. He smirked at her and she didn’t like it.

“Tomorrow night is her resurrection. I’ll be waiting in the woods and they won’t know what hit them,” Ramos said.

“In the woods? You don’t know how many wolves there will be!” She exclaimed worriedly.

“This is Alaska, his pack won’t have more than fifteen members, including his family. They will be so busy that my scent will fade into the crowd,” Ramos said and gave her a look that meant she better keep her mouth shut.

“Go pack our stuff, we have to leave anyway,” Ramos said.

He had already booked a room for them in Nikiski, it was far enough away to make them believe that they had left, but not so far away that he wouldn’t be able to drive back. It was only a few hours away.
