Adrian arrived at his house and threw his duffel bag on the floor next to the couch. He had found out so many things in the last week. He looked at all the dossier files on his dining room table. Six months laterI looked in the mirror and smiled. My heart started beating a bit faster as I decided the tuxedo was just right. Today was the day! The night that Adrian Peters and Robert Jones were waiting in the kitchen when Adara and I arrived home had ended pretty interestingly. Malachi had heard them talking as soon as we walked into the garage. We had driven to the hotel instead, walked through reception and out of the back door. We used one of the hotel cars and drove to the den.We had spent a few hours cleaning the basement, we scooped up all the ashes that were in the fire pit and scattered them as we drove back to the hotel. We walked out the front door again and into our car and headed home.I pretended not to see them as we drove past them where they had tried to hide their car behind some bushes. They followed us back home and they watched the house for an hour before leaving.After that night I had noticed Adrian Peters a lot more on my daily routines. I looked at the wolf and instinct took over. I pushed James aside and lunged through the window, shifting as I did so. My clothes tore from my body and fell to the floor. The wolf was running. I didn’t care about the cuts on my body from the broken glass. I didn’t care about anything else at that moment, I just needed to kill him.The wolf stopped in the middle of the clearing and his stench bothered my nostrils. We circled each other and I spotted five other wolves emerging from between the trees. I was outnumbered. He had lured me here and he had won this round. I could not take on six wolves.Then I heard them in my head, they were close. Malachi, Garrick, and James; they had followed me without question. We all stood there in the clearing, growling at each other. We could not communicate with them and I wondered now about my decision to just blindly run after him. It didn’t matter much, what was done, was done. I would face him if I had to and they all knew I wanted to kill Ramos.

We were caught in a catch twenty-two. We had no other choice than to convene, we would be questioned by the council anyway about the war we all knew would break out. We all looked at Malachi for a solution. Instead, he retired to his study with Garrick.I trusted in Malachi and I knew that he would come back out and give us all hope.
