LOGINAysha POV:
"Where in the world is this man." I said to no one in particular. I've been waiting eagerly for Adrian to come home. I don't know why he's taking so long to get here. "What if he decides not to come home tonight." I bite my lips anxiously. "Oh fuck, I can't afford for my plans to get ruined all because of a stupid prank." I panicked, thinking about how this could be a waste of time. I went to check on the food and realized it had gotten cold. I quickly threw them into the microwave to reheat it while I kept peeping outside, just in case he drives in. The food finally got done and I decided to leave it in until I hear his car pull up. I called Martha to know if she had arrived safely. "Hey dear, I just wanted to check up on you, if you've gotten there safely?" "Yes ma, I have. Thank you so much for the break. I hope you're having a good romantic day with Sir." "Well.... I will, when he gets home." "Sir hasn't gotten home yet?" "Not yet." "That's strange, he seems later than usual." "It's nothing to worry about Mart, I'm sure he probably had a lot to do at work. He'll get home soon." "Should I come back ma? Just to keep you company while you wait?" "No no, stay home. You've been on your feet all day, go rest." "Are you sure? I don't mind at all." "Martha. I'm fine. Enjoy your evening." "Okay ma. But please call me if you need anything at all." "I will. I promise." "Okay Ma. Have a good night." "You too sweetie. Have fun." I hung up the call and decided to watch a movie to while away time. I woke up to the sound of Adrian's car driving in. The car parked in front of the house instead of driving to the normal driveway. "Hmm... that's strange." I didn't think too much of it since it didn't matter. I brought out all the food from the microwave, arranged it back on the table along with the red wine. It's his favorite. I got out the cake too. I also put on the candles I got since I switched off the lights. I stepped back to admire everything I did. "Damn I feel so proud of myself." I smiled happily. "What's Adrian still doing in his car? Why hasn't he come in yet." I wondered. "Does he have a surprise for me too or...... oh wait he doesn't know I'm home so... that's not it." I decided to go check out what he's up to. Since I didn't want to expose myself, I peeped through the window. I could see the car moving but I wasn't sure what the hell was going on. "Let me go check it out." I went to the second window, which was closer to where the car was parked. The moment I peeked, every cell in my body stopped functioning. My soul left my body and my heart shattered into a billion pieces. My eyes couldn't believe what I was seeing. How..... how cou.....could he do this to me? On our wedding anniversary? This was supposed to be a special day. Our special day. The tears threatened to spill down in full force as I watched the love of my life. My husband. Have sex with a woman right in front of our house. In his car. I couldn't see the lady's face well because he had her bent over the chair while he fucked her from behind. He did it so care-freely. Like he had done this so many times. I watched him carrying the girl out of the car still fucking her shamelessly, straight into the house. They were so oblivious and in their own world that they didn't notice me nor the entire arrangement I made. I stood in the shadow while I watched them. "Oh fuck baby." That voice. Why does it sound so familiar. "Right there baby.... Fuck daddy!!! That's my spot." The voice screamed out once more. No. It can't be. Just like my mind tried to deny it and my heart hoped it wouldn't get worse. The woman turned around and the candlelight gave me a clear sight of her face. "Omggg!!!" I covered my mouth with my hands immediately to drown out my tears. I should have known. All the signs were there. But I chose to be oblivious to it. I chose to trust a man who didn't love me anymore. A man who had done nothing more than cause me absolute pain, constant heartbreak. I cried silently in the dark corner of the living room, while I watched Mira ride my husband like he belonged to her. Like they owned each other. It was so obvious that this wasn't the first time it was happening. That thought alone made me sick to my stomach. "How many fucking times has this happened." I had so many unanswered questions in my head. "I love you baby." She kissed him. "I love you too." He kissed her back. "Tell me again." She whispered against his lips. "I love you Mira." "Say it like you mean it." "I love you." He said it slower that time. Softer. Like he meant every single letter. "You know I do." "Then why is she still here Adrian." Her voice dropped. "Why are you still married to her." He was quiet for a moment. I held my breath in the dark. "It's complicated." "It's not that complicated." She pulled back to look at him. "You don't love her. You haven't loved her in years. So why are you still doing this to both of us." "Mira." "No. I'm serious. I'm tired of being hidden. I'm tired of hotel rooms and back seat arrangements and pretending I'm just your assistant in public." Her voice cracked slightly. "I deserve more than that Adrian." "And you'll get it." He said it so easily. So convincingly. "Just give me time." "You've been saying that for two years." "I know." He pulled her close again. "Just trust me." "I do trust you. I just love you too much to keep sharing you." "You're not sharing me." He said quietly. "You never were. I was never really hers to begin with. This..." he paused. "This is real. What we have. This is the only thing that's real to me." Hearing those words snapped something in me. Pure anger. I was livid. She kissed him again and he kissed her back like she was the only woman alive. Today was the tenth anniversary of the day he stood in front of God and every person we loved and promised me his whole life. I had spent every coin and every hour of this day trying to remind him that I still loved him. I had been hoping and fooling myself for God knows how long that things would get better. That he would get better. That we would be okay. I stood there until I couldn't stand it anymore. I walked quietly to where the light was and switched it on. Their eyes immediately fell on me. "Nice to finally grab your attention."Aysha POV:"Where in the world is this man." I said to no one in particular.I've been waiting eagerly for Adrian to come home. Aysha POVI woke up with a positive mind, excited about the day already. I looked to my side and noticed Adrian didn't sleep in last night."Where the hell did he go to.""Didn't he sleep home last night?"I got up, quickly showered and got dressed. I stepped outside, trying to find any trace of him in the house, I even checked his study but I didn't see him."Martha?""Yes ma.""Did my husband come home last night." I asked."No ma.""Did he call or leave any word at all?""No ma. Nothing. I was up late finishing the laundry and I didn't hear the door at all.""So he just didn't come home and didn't say anything.""I'm sorry ma.""Oh. Okay..."I checked my phone. No message from him."I wonder where he is. Today is our anniversary, he should have at least spent the morning with me. He couldn't even send me a romantic message to wish me."I tried calling him but to no avail. Eventually a text came through."He can't talk right now, he's in a meeting."Pretty sure Mira sent this, but I
Aysha POV"I see you finally got that place cleaned up." Adrian said as he walked through the door.I nodded, still a little shaken up."Good. Well I need you to get dressed, there's an event this evening and unfortunately you'll be going with me. Don't embarrass me with your plain Jane look. Try to look less ugly. Be ready in two hours." With that he went out of the room.I checked the time on my phone, it was almost four. I quickly went to take a quick shower to get a fresh look. I already had a dress in mind.In less than two hours, I was finally done getting ready. My husband hates waiting, so I knew I had to be quick before he leaves me.I had on a black strapless gown, with a slit at the side. It was a present from my mother. For my look, I went with a little more flashy makeup, definitely not my style but it will do for tonight. I curled my hair, put on my LV heels, sprayed my perfume and I was ready to head out."Took you long enough." He said as I walked down the stairs."I w
CHAPTER TWOAysha POV"Ma, what have you done?"Martha's voice broke through everything. I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding."Ma, you're bleeding, come on, get up, let me help you to your room."She reached for me but I pulled back gently."It's okay, I have to clean this up first, he said before he gets back,""Ma." Her voice was firm but soft, the way only Martha could manage. "That's my job, let me handle it, please."I looked at the mess, then at my hand, then back at her face. She wasn't moving until I did."Fine," I whispered. She helped me up slowly, one hand supporting my back, the other careful around my injured hand. We walked to my room quietly, the hallway feeling longer than usual."Why do you keep letting him do this to you?" she said as she sat me on the edge of the bed, already reaching for the first aid kit she knew I kept in the bathroom cabinet. "He keeps downgrading you, insulting you, embarrassing you right in front of that woman. Why can't you ju
CHAPTER ONE Aysha POV I woke up to giggling. Not just any giggling, the kind that's too comfortable, too familiar, the kind that doesn't belong in a married home at this hour. I sat up slowly, blinking the sleep out of my eyes. The sound was coming from across the hallway. Adrian, My husband's study. I tied my robe and padded toward it, telling myself I was probably imagining things. "Oh Adrian, you're so funny." The voice said again. I stopped dead in front of the door. That's Mira, his personal assistant . My stomach twisted upon realization . I pressed my eye to the keyhole, because I wasn't allowed near the study. Adrian made that clear a long time ago. "That room is for important people and important things," he had said one night, not even looking up from his desk. "Unfortunately, Aysha, you are neither." That felt like a knife to my skin. I looked through the keyhole and what I saw made my chest cave in. Mira was sitting on his lap. Right there, comfort
