Coffin on the Wedding Day
‘Are you joking with me, Oscar? There’s no way I’m the biological daughter of the Levine family.’ Olivia thought Oscar was lying to her merely to comfort her. ‘You don’t know that our mother is the daughter of Grandfather Levine. Our grandfather is the wealthiest and most famous man. Your elder sister can avenge those who hurt you,’ Oscar replied with a grave expression. ‘But aren’t you ashamed of having an elder sister like me? Look at my ugly face and my fat body. I’m ashamed to face the world. I was divorced simply because I’m neither beautiful nor rich.’ Olivia shed tears as she recalled the cruel treatment from her husband and those around her. ‘I’m not ashamed because you’re my elder sister. Get well quickly! Avenge your pain, because I found this divorce paper when I helped you after you fainted.’ Oscar handed her the rain-soaked divorce papers. ‘Very well! This divorce was forced upon me, so it’s not valid. But if David no longer loves me, I will forget him. I will take revenge for everything he has done,’ Olivia replied, clenching her fists. ‘Don’t dwell on your grief. I can help you restore your ruined face and help you lose weight. My elder sister must not be insulted by anyone.’ ‘Very well! On their wedding day, we shall give them a surprise they will never forget for the rest of their lives. Thank you for not being ashamed of me as I am now. Lord, thank You for sending me my brother at a time when I was at my lowest and homeless after being thrown out by my husband.’ Olivia thanked Oscar for not being ashamed to have her as his sister, and she thanked God for His kindness towards her. Oscar cared for Olivia well, looking after her and her nephew Daniel. After more than a week, Olivia had recovered and was declared fit to go home. As soon as she stepped out of the hospital, several media outlets and newspapers reported the upcoming wedding of David and Bella, set to take place in two months. It was to be celebrated in extravagant style at the most luxurious restaurant in the city. Olivia had just seen the news on Oscar’s phone. ‘So you really are going to marry that woman. Do you not care for me in the slightest, David? I left with your child not by your side, yet you never sought me out. You look happy with her.’ Olivia was still heartbroken and her tears fell again. Oscar immediately asked why she was crying. ‘Why are you crying? What did you see on my phone?’ ‘Look at this—he’s marrying that woman and didn’t even look for me. Even if I had died, would he not care? I loved him with all my heart and supported him secretly until my mother’s inheritance was entirely spent on him. How could he be so cruel?’ ‘Don’t be too sad. Just wait for his wedding day. Then you can take your revenge—expose all his evil deeds in front of everyone, and he’ll be utterly humiliated.’ ‘Oscar, I’ve made up my mind to send them a wedding gift so grand it will be unforgettable.’ Olivia had an idea for her revenge. --- A month passed. Olivia had fully recovered from the abuse she suffered at David’s hands. She was now preparing for David and Bella’s wedding. Disguised, she planned to infiltrate the restaurant where the reception would be held. Oscar would also attend as a guest, bringing Olivia by his side. ‘Are you ready? We’re leaving. I’ve prepared everything you asked for.’ ‘Yes, let’s go quickly.’ Olivia and Oscar got into the car. Behind them was another vehicle carrying a coffin—Olivia’s plan in motion. ‘We’ll surprise them at their wedding. It’ll be so grand and become the talk of the entire country,’ Olivia said. Dressed entirely in black, wearing a large hat and a mask to hide her face, Olivia laughed. ‘I may have been hurt, but I have my way of taking revenge.’ They soon arrived at the city’s most luxurious restaurant. Two people alighted from the car and spoke to the security guard at the entrance. They were allowed in because they had invitations. Oscar slipped the security guard a bribe to allow the coffin inside—it was, after all, the wedding gift for David and Bella. Olivia and Oscar entered as guests, Olivia’s large hat and mask concealing her identity. The wedding decorations were lavish; David was in a black wedding suit and Bella in a beautiful gown. As they greeted guests, the coffin bearing the name *Olivia Levine* was carried in. Police officers accompanied it. ‘Why is there a coffin? Who would send a coffin on my wedding day?’ David demanded. ‘Good afternoon, are you Mr David? I am here to deliver the body in this coffin. It is said you are the husband of the woman inside. She was in an accident, her face destroyed beyond recognition, and she was declared dead yesterday,’ the police officer said. ‘I’ve just married—she is my wife. There is no other woman I have wed,’ David denied. ‘Is it Olivia? David, could Olivia have died?’ Bella asked. ‘She’s not my wife, but these photos clearly show that this woman is your wife and that she has been living in your house. Everyone can see the photos and videos I’ve brought. They were found in her bag after the accident, along with her identification,’ the officer replied. The officer then played a video of David and Olivia’s wedding from five years ago, back when she was still beautiful. There were also videos and photos proving Olivia had been living with David, as well as evidence that they had a child together. ‘How can David marry again when he already has a wife?’ some guests whispered. A recording was played that revealed a conversation involving David, shocking everyone present and prompting them to insult him. ‘What? So he divorced his ugly wife for his personal secretary? What a treacherous husband,’ several people muttered. ‘Turn off that video! Stop it!’ David shouted.Do I Deserve to be Your Grace's Ex-Wife? "You can only enjoy this fleeting happiness. Just wait! I will definitely return with something far greater," the mysterious man muttered. The event concluded, and Olivia had finally managed to turn the tables. She had succeeded and was no longer ridiculed as the ugly woman. Even David now adored her, begging her to return to him, no longer caring about Bella. Olivia had won, but her revenge was far from complete. The following morning, they were holding a meeting at the company. David sat at the end of the large table with a serious expression, yet his eyes occasionally flicked towards Olivia, who was seated opposite him. Although they were divorced, some things could not be erased—a palpable tension between them, as if time and distance had changed nothing. Only now, Olivia was no longer afraid. "What exactly do you want from this meeting, Olivia?" David asked in a grave tone, though a sens
A New Plan and the Mysterious Man's Attack "Olivia, just you wait for the main event. That man will avenge all my grudges. Even though David cast me aside, I still have countless ways to destroy you. If I can’t have David, then you’d both be better off dead." Bella had concocted a plan for revenge that was even grander than the last. In a distant place... "I need you to trust me. Just for a moment, for the sake of our strategy," David answered, his voice firm, concealing the jealousy he truly felt. He tried to move closer, but Olivia took a step back, maintaining her distance. Meanwhile, from behind the bedroom curtains, Clara Wu—Olivia's personal assistant—observed everything intently. Clara frowned slightly, a faint worry in her heart. She knew Olivia couldn’t fully trust David, yet she also understood the strategy currently underway. Clara walked closer, placing a coffee cup on the table. "Mr. David, you’re to
Bella’s Plan Fails “But… Oscar, I won’t lose this game of revenge. I will surely win, Oscar. I’m going to find out everything about who made me suffer these losses, and I’ll pay them back with the same pain they inflicted on me,” Olivia replied after a long silence. “Olivia, even if your heart is filled with revenge, never sacrifice Daniel. Every step you take is dangerous, so keep Daniel safe,” Oscar advised before leaving, abandoning Olivia to her thoughts. 'I won’t lose because they hurt me, and now they have to feel my pain,' she thought. It wasn’t that Olivia couldn't forget the past; she was simply too heartbroken by the fact she was discarded and divorced so suddenly, and even almost killed. She had confined herself to her home for the past few days, needing to plot something far more cunning than David and his mother had managed. The following evening, David arrived at Olivia’s d
David Anderson's Love Story 'Morgan, don't mess with Olivia. If you intend to play games with her, you'll have to deal with me,' Oscar threatened. 'Are you threatening me, Mr Oscar?' 'Of course, but if Olivia genuinely likes you, there's nothing I can do.' Oscar decided to leave, knowing Olivia was planning a different kind of revenge on David. David then left the scene, deciding to go home. A few days later, a luxury restaurant in the city centre was still alight with camera flashes. The forced smiles of Olivia Levine and the embrace of David Anderson graced the headlines of various news portals the following morning. The media portrayed them as a glamorous couple rekindling their love story. Yet, behind that smile, Olivia's heart was a tempest of pain and hatred. 'Bella, have you seen the man you love is with me now? How does it feel to have that man stolen by another woman?' Naturally, the news of their long-se
Escaping the Kidnappers 'How are we supposed to nab her? The Boss paid us a hefty sum, yet the woman is always in a crowded place,' one of the mysterious men asked. 'You'll have to use your wits. Just keep following her until we get a chance to snatch her,' the Boss of the mysterious men replied. They tracked Olivia everywhere she went that day. As it happened, Olivia went to where Daniel was. Daniel and Oscar were living in a luxurious mansion near an artificial forest—the area was rather secluded. When Olivia was on the road close to the forest, a black car suddenly cut her off. Startled, Olivia slammed on the brakes immediately. 'What's going on? What's this all about? It's the middle of the day! Are you lot trying to kidnap me?' Olivia demanded. Swiftly, the two men surrounded Olivia. She was shocked, having just braked abruptly only to be blocked by a black car with two men climbing out. Both of them levelled weapons at her. 'Get out, now! Or I'll shoot you and torch
A Pretend Date The city lights shimmered like stars fallen to earth. The rooftop restaurant where Olivia sat with David was filled with candlelight, violin music, and the murmurs of high-class guests. Olivia exhaled softly, gazing out of the large glass window. Beyond the glass, she saw her reflection—not the overweight woman with a ruined face, but an elegant figure in a black gown that clung perfectly to her slender frame. Yet Olivia’s heart remained hardened. This was all pretence. I will not be deceived by his smile. “Thank you for coming,” David’s voice sounded heavy, laced with reluctance yet also tension. He wore a neat black suit, his tie maroon. His gaze clung to Olivia, as though unable to break away. Olivia looked at him coldly. “I am merely following your game. A pretend date, isn’t it? You were the one who asked for it.” David leaned forward, his fingers tapping the table. “The media have sensed something. They’ve seen us together several times. If we don’t give
