A salient shadow soundlessly opened the door, careful not to make a single squeak. The lights were dimmed but it could perfectly figure out where Alexandra slept. She must have taken her sleeping pills by now. And now it was the perfect occasion to finish her off!
The shadow made its way to Alexandra's bed, like a snake prying its prey. Those dark minacious eyes watched the beauty taking steady breaths, the nightmares weren't interrupting her sleep. Thank god.
The shadow pulled out a kitchen knife, its steel edge reflecting off the silver moonlight. It slowly lifted the equipped hand, aiming to plunge Alexandra's beating flesh.
Suddenly, the lights were turned on, Alexandra shot opened her eyes and sat upright to see Jonathan's gun pointed towards her.
Alexandra's eyes rounded as her body was tugged back by someone and a cold knife was pressed against her nodding throat.
"Put your gun down or this bitch will be the one getting slit." A feminin
The following morning, the sun's warmth poured directly over Alexandra's face. She blinked open her eyes, taking in the blinding light little by little. A familiar pain in her abdomen jolted her awake, she grimaced and let out a frustrated groan. She turned to her right to see the handsome prince charming of a man sleeping soundly next to her bed. "Wake up." She called in her neutral tone. And as she expected he didn't budge. "Wake the fuck up!" She shouted, smacking his head. Jonathan sleazily opened his eyes, it was morning already? He gave a dopey smile to the grumpy beauty. "Good morning." Alexandra lifted her dishevelled blanket. 'Fuck' She cursed. What a great day to wake up in a puddle of her own blood. "What's wrong?" He worriedly asked. "Nothing." She mumbled, hiding her upper body in the blankets with a sullen face. He didn't buy it. In a flying move, he lifted the blanket off her body. Onl
"I am glad you agreed on this partnership, Mr Jonas." Kameron reached out for a handshake and Jonathan gladly took it. They were at an upper-crust luxury hotel that overlooked the big ben in the city of London. A whole hour had silently ticked by as they discussed the Canal Project. Kameron wanted this to be a great success because he had invested all of his time and money in it. He wanted to co-partner with Jonathan because they somewhat shared the same interest when it comes to the construction business. "I was quite impressed with the presentation. Your company is one of the top five in the country after all." Jonathan complimented. Kameron was a smart businessman and was particularly picky when it comes to investing. Jonathan had doubted his talents before, but this project he was talking about is so well planned. He could tell how much Kameron wanted this to work. Kameron raised an amiable smile. "If it's alright wit
"What happened to your face?" Jacob asked his older brother after noticing the faint scratch mark that marred his face. Jonathan was busy getting ready for his next meeting. He had to discuss the Canal project with a German Architect, Mr Weber this afternoon. "I got scratched by a cat," Jonathan grumbled, not lifting his eyes from the computer screen. A smirk showed up on Jacob's mouth as he caught who this 'cat' was. "She must be a feisty one," Jacob commented. An indistinct smile waggled on Jonathan's lips. "A VERY feisty one." If it were another man, then he would have already packed his bags and ran for his life. Alexandra's temperament is too unpredictable, you never know when she might pounce on you. He wouldn't mind if she pounced, thinking about it made his core heat with temptation. "What did you do?" Jacob asked, staring at Jonathan with curious eyes. Not a week had passed
It was afternoon break and Halton grabbed a can of soda from the vending machine, after hours of pacing back and forth from the office this will be a reward for his hard work. "Are you free right now, Mr Miller?" Halton turned around to see Jane Warren standing behind him with a sweet smile. "Yeah...is there anything I can help you with?" He asked, maintaining polite conduct. "No, I was just asking if it's alright for us to have lunch together," Jane asked, a blush crept up her face. Upclose, Halton looked even taller and the grey suit couldn't hide his broad features. Halton thought about it for a moment, since he is free right now. Why not? Plus, he was super hungry as well."I can join you." He answered with a delightful smile that made Jane's heart skip a beat. __________________ They arrived at a regular restaurant, it was a comfortable place even if it was a little crowded at the moment. It was hard to respire as a gloom hung in the air during the whole ride to the hospital. Robinson did not care to utter a word of concern. Evan felt like she was riding with a stranger rather than her Fiance. When they arrived at the hospital Emmeline Wright, Evan's mother had already woken up after the stroke. Resting on the hospital bed."Ma, how are you feeling?" Evan asked and she held her mother's weak hand."I am a bit tired that's all, nothing to worry about," Emmaline said, smiling weakly."I was so scared Granny!" A little girl ran and hugged the old woman and she lovingly patted the little girl's head. "There. there. granny is alright now."This little granddaughter of her's was smart enough to call an ambulance for her. Angela nuzzled herself into her grandmother's warmth, such a clingy child. The old woman let out a chuckle. "Aren't you hungry dear? You haven't had lunch."Angela
Rob studied the man's face, he is the same man he had seen at the restaurant. The one Evan aimlessly kept staring at."And you are?" Rob asked, a sudden hostility manifest in his voice."Let. her. go. NOW." Halton repeated in a vile accent.Rob grimaced at Halton's nerve. "This is my Fiancee, I can hold her whenever and WHEREVER I want." Rob held her possessively closer as if he was trying to protect a precious trophy.Halton's ominous expressiondeepenedas he glanced at the faint bruises striped on Evan's wrist. "This is MY woman you are talking about." Intense jealousy swirled inside Halton's eyes, he aspired to mutilate Rob's hands for hurting Evan like that.Halton approached her and snatched her hand, the grip was firm but in a way that wouldn't hurt her. "H-Hal let go of me." Evan pleaded in a low shaky voice, her troubled eyes begging him to go away. Her hands squirmed under the grip of these tw
It was a bright day, the clear azure sky above her, the white fluffy clouds silently levitating by. The pleasant weather contrasted the disarray of the Roberts Group right now. They must be running back and forth in panic at their loss of millions of dollars in a single night. It is truly a shame to not being able to see Gabriel's panic-stricken face. Alexandra smiled wickedly at the thought. She was seated inside the glass Pavillion situated amidst the garden. Sipping the camomile tea; breathing in the fresh-- fragrant air of bloomed flowers. All of the red roses in her garden were demolished and replaced by pure white ones. Her hate wasn't borne towards the red roses, it was borne towards that monster, Edward Morgan. The tea tasted metallic this time...and bloody. A bead of blood had trickled down from her nose, diffusing into the tea, followed by another drop. She frowned and placed the defiled tea on the table. Taking a clean handkerchie
After a few minutes of contemplation, Jonathan gathered the guts to knock on the door. Not wanting to get scratched again, he patiently waited for an answer. "Come in." A silvery feminine voice beckoned. He opened the door to find Alexandra sitting on the chair facing the vanity mirror. Busy blow-drying her damp hair. Earlier, her scalp itched from sweat so she took time washing her hair. Her feline gaze momentarily shifted in his direction as he came closer. "Need help?" He asked, holding her slender shoulders. "Sure." She shrugged and gave him to the hairdryer. Jonathan dipped his long fingers into her scalp, in a smooth stroke. Untangling the midnight black locks, his eyes face a well-disposed expression with a touch of amusement. Alexandra briefly closed her eyes, accepting the relaxation that came with the massage. He stared back at the vanity mirror, seeing her nod off. This ferocious woman turned peac
