Let her go

It was hard to respire as a gloom hung in the air during the whole ride to the hospital. Robinson did not care to utter a word of concern. Evan felt like she was riding with a stranger rather than her Fiance. 

When they arrived at the hospital Emmeline Wright, Evan's mother had already woken up after the stroke. Resting on the hospital bed.

"Ma, how are you feeling?" Evan asked and she held her mother's weak hand. 

"I am a bit tired that's all, nothing to worry about,"  Emmaline said, smiling weakly. 

"I was so scared Granny!" A little girl ran and hugged the old woman and she lovingly patted the little girl's head. "There. there. granny is alright now." 

This little granddaughter of her's was smart enough to call an ambulance for her. Angela nuzzled herself into her grandmother's warmth, such a clingy child. The old woman let out a chuckle. "Aren't you hungry dear? You haven't had lunch."
