He told me softly, nuzzling my neck and kissing the spot behind my ear.

I  gave him a lazy smile; my body felt warm and soft. I trusted Kaiden completely now, and when his lips came down on mine again, I met him with a kiss of my own. My body arched into his touch, and I tasted myself on his lips, sending little shivers of pleasure down my spine.

‘Kaiden, I want you.’

I cried out with the pain and shock at this invasion of my body, but it made me freeze in horror. All the lust and desire in me disappeared as my body reacted violently to this pain, and Kaiden lost control to Midnight. The Lycan took me hard; he had promised to go easy, to be as gentle as he could, but the Wolf took over, wanting only to claim what was his. I had gone still beneath him, not understanding what was happening. I knew it was supposed to hurt a little, but then it turned to pleasure, didn’t it? Kaiden was so much bigger than me, so much more powerful, but the pain was not going away; there was no pleasure. I looked up at him with stormy eyes full of fear. The Lycan was no fool; he blocked Kaiden’s view of their little golden wolf, refusing to allow him his sight, making him fight harder to wrestle back control. I had no choice but to try to fight him. Solar saw the battle raging inside my mate, and suddenly, my power broke free, and I glowed so brightly that the Lycan backed away, allowing Kaiden to regain his authority. It was too late, though. I sank my teeth into one of his arms, making him jump back and release me altogether.
