Chapter 6

Jessica saw a man in grey pants and a blue shirt with a tie fixed around his neck. He had a mysterious aura about him, with dark hair, a slender body, and a perfectly structured face. He could easily be a model; maybe he was one. She noticed him looking around frantically and immediately knew he must be the one.

She stood up and rushed towards him. She had been sitting in the waiting area, as the receptionist had told her that loitering around the premises was highly prohibited.

"Excuse me, Mister," the man spun around to look at Jessica. He was incredibly good-looking, but that was the least of Jessica's concerns. All she cared about right now was her mother. "Are you the one I've been communicating with over the phone?".

"It depends," he said sarcastically, "Are you the one whose mother was involved in a hit-and-run accident?" He arched an eyebrow.

How can someone be so arrogant and kind at the same time?, Jessica thought.

"Yes, that's me. Please take me to her."

"Follow me." Jessica
