Milkshakes and Motives

The fluorescent diner sign flickered, casting a soft amber glow over the pavement as Lena and Aiden approached the entrance.

Laughter and the warm clatter of plates came from inside, a mix of scents—grilled meat, melting cheese, and sugary milkshakes—mixing into the cool evening air.

The diner, Wolfie’s Joint, had a long-standing reputation in the Pack. It wasn’t just a diner; it was the hangout spot for young wolves.

Lena forced another smile—tight-lipped, fleeting, more a reflex than a feeling—as Aiden opened the door for her.

His scent, clean and faintly woodsy, followed her inside.

“After you,” he said, gesturing gallantly.

Lena stepped in. The warmth hit her first. Then the noise.

The booths were filled with chatting teens, groups of young wolves exchanging stories, some loud, others whispering with eyes darting about like they were swapping secrets.

A track from some indie werewolf band played from the jukebox near the counter.

Aiden looked around with familiarity, his face

Andrea froze where she stood, her hand resting lightly on the counter as footsteps stopped just outside the doorway then Liam stepped in.He looked relaxed, as he always did. His tight shirt clung just enough to show the outline of his strong muscles. “Hey,” he said softly.Andrea tried to swallow the sudden tightness in her throat. “Hi.”Liam’s eyes flicked to the cup beside her hand. “Refilling already?”She gave a small, nervous laugh. “I guess. I just… needed something to do.”“Too noisy out there for you?”“A little.”He stepped further into the room and leaned against the opposite counter. The distance between them was small, the kind that made her acutely aware of her heartbeat.“I get that,” he said. “It can feel like a lot sometimes. Lucas and Graham turn every small gathering into a circus.”Andrea smiled faintly. “I noticed.”There was an easy silence for a moment. The music from the other room drifted in. “You look different tonight,” Liam said finally, his tone care

(NOTE: THIS NOVEL DOES NOT SUPPORT OR ENCOURAGE RECKLESS DRINKING IN ANY WAY. THIS WAS ONLY WRITTEN FOR ENTERTAINMENT)The apartment was filled with laughter, clinking glasses and the sound of a pop song playing from a speaker on the shelf. Andrea stood by the wall, a drink in her hand, pretending to enjoy it. She took small sips, the faint burn of alcohol doing little to relax her.Her dress shimmered faintly every time she moved. It clung to her body more tightly than anything she had ever worn before, the smooth fabric catching the light in all the wrong places, or maybe the right ones, she couldn’t tell anymore. She tugged at the hem for the fifth time in a minute. It was too short, too exposed and not her.She forced a smile when Maya glanced her way, though her cheeks felt hot.Across the room, Liam was telling a story that made everyone laugh, Lily leaning against him with a fond smile. Graham and Maya were next to them on the couch, clearly enjoying the playful chaos. Lucas

Andrea stood in front of the mirror for what felt like the hundredth time, her hands clutching the hem of her short, silky top as if it might somehow lengthen itself. Her reflection stared back, nervous eyes, parted lips, shoulders bared under the soft shimmer of fabric. The pale cream top Lena had picked out clung to her curves more than Andrea ever thought she would allow. It had thin straps that crossed delicately at the back, dipping low enough to reveal a teasing part of her skin. Her jeans were high-waisted, hugging her hips snugly, the kind of fit that made her feel aware of every movement.“This is crazy,” she whispered, running her fingers through her dark hair. “They’re going to think I’ve lost my mind.”From the bed behind her, Lena rolled her eyes and let a smile appear on her face.“No, they’re going to think you finally woke up. Andrea, you’ve been invisible to them and now you'll be out in the open. They still see you as sweet little Andrea but that's not good enough.

Chloe adjusted the strap of her shoulder bag as she walked through the main square. She had been running late, again. Aiden had texted her ten minutes ago that he would meet her at the cafeteria before their first lecture. Her heart fluttered, a reaction she still wasn’t used to.Being Aiden's girlfriend wasn’t something she had planned or even expected but she was happy it had happened regardless. But as she thought happy thoughts about this, she suddenly had a reflection of Lena’s words the other day and it almost put a damper on her mood but she pushed it aside. At least for now.She hadn’t thought about Lena much since that awkward encounter at the restaurant a few days ago and then a few days ago when they met in front of her lecture hall. One one hand, she had taken Lena’s words as something more like an advise from someone who cared. But on the other hand, she only saw Lena as Aiden’s ex, the one who had looked like she wanted to rip Chloe’s throat out but smiled anyway. She

Within seconds all the papers that littered the ground had been picked up by both girls.“Yeah, sorry again about that,” Lena said, chuckling softly. “I can be so clumsy sometimes.”“You’re fine,” Chloe said quickly, waving it off. “I actually thought it was nice bumping into you again. I don’t know many people who know Aiden personally.”Lena’s lips curled faintly. “Well, we do go way back.”Chloe’s eyes lit with curiosity. “You were together, right?”Lena tilted her head slightly, feigning modesty. “For a while, yeah.”Chloe nodded, thoughtful. “He mentioned you once. He said things didn’t really work out, but he didn’t sound bitter about it.”“Of course he didn’t,” Lena murmured under her breath, then smiled. “Aiden was always good at hiding what he really felt.”Chloe frowned softly. “What do you mean?”Lena hesitated. She had practiced this moment in her head a hundred times. “It’s nothing,” she said quickly. “I shouldn’t talk about it.”Now she waited. She could almost cou

  • Revenge For My Alpha: Sequel of Fated To The Alpha Twins    Hiding Behind Bushes

The afternoon sun moved through the college courtyard with soft wind brushing against the tall trees that lined the pathway leading to the lecture hall. The chatter of numerous students filled the air with laughter, gossip, footsteps and the sounds of life Lena no longer felt connected to.At least not anymore since she had found out something that almost made her go mad.She crouched low behind a bush opposite the lecture hall, her pulse quick, her eyes sharp. Her fingers gripped the edges of the bush until the rough twigs scraped against her palm. The faint scent of earth filled her nostrils, grounding her, but her attention was fixed elsewhere.Accomplishing her goal mattered so much more than her comfort right now.Across the courtyard, Chloe stood among a small circle of friends, laughing in that light, effortless laugh Lena had come to hate. Her dark hair shimmered under the sunlight, her smile soft and unguarded. She looked perfect, the kind of perfect that didn’t need to t
