Chapter 4

Agatha's POV

I woke up to the sound of the bedroom door opening. Alpha Ferdinand entered. His sharp eyes and cold aura pierced the recesses of my heart perfectly.

“You're finally awake after twelve hours of sleep. Get up and enjoy the food that has been served earlier. I'll accompany you. After that, we'll leave here."

Ferdinand approached me and wanted to take my hand, but I pushed him away. His pupils immediately shrank. He must have been very annoyed with my attitude, which since yesterday had always refused his invitations and orders.

“Where are you taking me? It's so late, and you want to tear my body apart?"

"It's not like that, idiot. I want to get you out of my place so you don't panic, get stressed, or go crazy. You've been bothering me since you arrived. Minimize your bad attitude before I completely change my mind.”

He didn't give me a chance to respond to his words. He immediately grabbed my hand and took me away from the room.

The nighttime atmosphere in this mansion was terrible, dark, and gloomy, and the sighs from women shouting at each other made me shudder.

"Calm down, Agatha. If you keep panicking, he will do bad things. I can't communicate with his animals. You know he's a lycan, and his animals find it hard to talk to wolves. They consider themselves much higher and more powerful, even though they forget that they were created because of a werewolf ancestor who first bit their ancestor, a human.”

“I don't care about that, Pipe. I want to get home from here. Could you help me find a way out? I don't want to end up reduced to bones. Didn't you see how rudely he grabbed my hand?”

"Maybe you will be angry at my answer, but I have to admit that you should be here rather than wandering around out there. We've entered Lycan territory, and you could die if you force yourself to run away. I died because of Ferdinand or someone else. For me, Ferdinand wasn't that bad. I could feel how he held back his emotions yesterday when you kept crying, and he was the one who put you to sleep, Agatha. You do not remember? He wants you to calm down."

My mind wandered, describing how yesterday I could stop all the anxiety that hit me. It's true what Pipe said: Ferdinand saved me twice yesterday.

Maybe I should calm down and throw away my thoughts that I will die in his hands. Even if that happens, I have to accept fate. Besides, my life is pretty much ruined, right? Vera must be having fun with Gerard right now, playing nasty things and fantasizing about getting married.

 Fucker! I hate them.

“Eat when you're done. Meet me on the front porch. Just follow the passage to the right near this dining room, and you will find the exit from this mansion.”

I was so preoccupied with the spectacle I had in my head about my family that I didn't realize I had arrived in the dining room. The Black Land pack deserves to be called the best pack—outstanding leadership, as well as a magnificent and luxurious mansion that spoils the eye.

Even if I manage to get out and survive here, I will tell my experience here to my children and grandchildren in the future.

The food served on the table was varied. It tasted too neat to say that this food was leftovers from dinner for all the pack members. Is it possible that Ferdinand is deliberately re-cooking this meal for me?

OK, no way. Hunger has led me to fantasize too much.

 “Alpha Ferdinand, I'm done.”

I approached Ferdinand half an hour after he showed me to the dining room. My stomach is tight and sore because I ate so much food. As long as I lived with my parents, I was always forbidden to eat large portions.

At first, I thought it was all because they loved me. Maybe they wanted to look after my body and health, but after thinking about it, they didn't do the same for Vera. I concluded that they deliberately tried to torture me by starving me.

“Look, the moon is so beautiful tonight. That's why I want you to see it, maybe you can be a little calmer. I don't want to hear that cry anymore, and it's so annoying.” Alpha Ferdinand looked at me with a flat expression.

“Yes, but... by the way, what happened to the Lycans? Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude. But… won't you guys turn into beasts when the moon is perfectly round like this?”

Ferdinand smiled a crooked smile. For some reason, he seemed a little scary to me like this. I swallowed my saliva and tried not to show a frightened expression.

“That's how stupid werewolves are. From the beginning, you always pretended to know about the lives of us lycans. Also, you guys are so obsessed with us. I'm mixed blood, lycan and werewolf. We've gone through an evolution. We no longer change only at night and become wild when the moon is perfectly round. We can change whenever we want, just like you. That's why people set me as Alpha, not king. If I were of perfect blood, I would be king and 1000 times more savage than I am now."

I hope he doesn't hear my heartbeat, which is beating fast because of panic. I couldn't imagine if he had a crazier cruelty, and I would have to be more careful about asking him anything.

Silence greeted us, and I was too afraid to respond.

“Come on, let's go to a rock in the middle of the forest that I can use to pass the time at night. The rock is so high, and if we lie down there, we can reach the moon.”

 “Um, okay. Kyaa!”

I screamed when Ferdinand suddenly carried my body. He didn't give any warning at all.

“Hang my neck tightly; don't let you fall. Carrying you in this position is much more difficult. I don't want you to get trampled and crushed to death."

Instantly, I immediately put my arms around his neck, and we went very fast. In just a matter of minutes or less than five minutes, we arrived at the place he told me about.

A rock that is so tall and wide is present in the middle of the forest. This stone is surrounded by vines, which look like a beautiful decoration.

“Okay, let's go up. Just change your form into a wolf and--.”

Ferdinand's words suddenly stopped, his eyes wildly scanning the surroundings. He then looked at me and said. “I will throw your body up, hide on this rock, and lie down. Don't make any sound, and some crazy rogues want to attack us.”

 “What? I--."

Ferdinand immediately covered my mouth, and he shook his head as he said. "Don't talk too much, just do it!"
