Chapter 5

Ferdinand's POV

 “Ferdinand. Hello, my old friend. How are you?"

 A familiar voice, I know who is visiting me right now. I turned my body, staring at the source of the sound coming from behind where I was currently standing.

 A well-built man with red hair and small fangs on his teeth indicated that my guess was correct. I did recognize him, and he was Parker, one of the members I expelled for betraying and joining another clan.

 “What do you want, Parker? It's great that you could break through the layer of power protecting this region. Surely your blood that has evolved with the… what nickname is right for you? I want to be called a rogue, but I'm afraid to say the wrong word, even though I know it's the right call."

 "How dare you!"

 Parker growled. He quickly darted towards me, grabbed my shirt by my neck, and gripped it tightly. His breath smelled terrible, like he had just eaten dozens of raw garlic.

 “I know you're a ruthless rogue leader, but that doesn't mean you keep the stench in your mouth, right? Have mercy on me who has to smell this.”

 “You talk too much!”

 Parker changed his form and made a terrible sound. This was the same sound that we lycans always make. It's just that this time, I heard it so clearly in human form. It's usually me doing the screaming like Parker.

 Parker is not alone, and he is the one who came with five of his colleagues who are now also changing, surrounding me. In the light of a perfectly round moon, I'm sure their strength is now many times over. As far as I know, Parker is a lycan with perfect blood. If he mastered his powers, I could be beaten badly.

 Yup, even though I'm a leader in this pack, it doesn't mean I'm the strongest. There could be someone more terrifying than me, unlike the werewolf race, like Agatha's father, who was the leader because he was the strongest.

 Honestly, I'm not in the mood to change and fight. I want to relax tonight while approaching Agatha to sleep with her immediately. However, the six of them, who were now silent while showing their sharp teeth and nails, made me lose my temper.

 “Okay, Parker, you're making me angry. Don't blame me if you have to make you die tonight."

 Right when I changed my form, Parker and his five friends immediately attacked brutally. Luckily, I can control my thoughts easily, so I know how to avoid them.

 Yes, one thing that allows me to defeat many opponents, even though my opponent is a perfect-blooded lycan, is that I can control my mind well. And I also apply this to my pack members.

 Parker was one of my members who found it difficult to accept that learning and his stupidity in continuing to attack clans that sometimes had no problems with our pack made me expel him, especially since he had betrayed the stupid rogues who easily influenced him.

 “Ugh!”

 One by one, Parker's comrades had collapsed, thrown swiftly into each tree around me. Now, all that was left in front of me was Parker. The wound on his back from my claws and bites still hasn't stopped him.

 I'm pretty amazed, and he seems to have developed much more regarding his strength. He used to be one of the weakest.

However, what happened next was far from what I expected. Parker suddenly jumped towards the rock where Agatha was. He jumped as if there was a trampoline under his feet, which made it bounce perfectly, and landed right in front of Agatha.

 “Kyaa! Help me!" Agatha's shrill voice was heard, breaking the silence of the night.

 And I didn't stay silent, and I immediately approached the two of them. Unfortunately, when I got to the top, Parker and Agatha were already downstairs. Yes, this is one of the fantastic things. I don't know what Parker learned. All his movements are fast and unpredictable.

 I was just about to hit his face with my claws, but instead, he pushed against Agatha's body so that I couldn't help but change my form again.

 “I want you to fulfill your promise to fight me. I want to make you lose until you can't stand anymore. You've ruined my life, Ferdinand. I've been following you guys since earlier, and I'm sure this girl is very precious to you. I'll make her bail so you can meet me at the cliff's edge tomorrow morning. Fight me and save her if you succeed.”

 "Nonsense! Could you not bring her into our fights? She doesn't know anything and is unimportant to me. I suppose you might be wrong. If you want to fight, why not now? You're afraid of losing, right? I killed five of your comrades in the blink of an eye, let alone someone like you, Parker.”

 Parker raised his head with a sly smile. “If you can defeat me, why don't you jump onto that rock in just one jump? If she's not important to you, then just let her die tomorrow. Isn't that what you usually do? Killing women to increase your strength is your habit. It's up to you, if you think she's important then please come. I will wait for you until nine in the morning.”

 Parker's grin widened. Who knows what he was thinking? If he's still upset because I took him out of the pack, he shouldn't have brought Agatha. One of my weaknesses is that I can't think or use my powers, which can make Parker submit when I'm panicking.

 Yes, I'm panicking now. I already said that Agatha is quite different. She made me lose my sense of cruelty, even though I still needed his body to produce offspring for me and the other members of my pack.

 Her eyes filled with tears looking at me, and she screamed. "Help me!"

 Laughter from Parker and his five colleagues accompanied their footsteps, which disappeared in the blink of an eye. Damn it. I'm still stuck thinking about what I should do. Now that everything has disappeared, like it or not, I must save Agatha tomorrow.

 Shit! Not even 24 hours later, she confused me by the various things she brought. I should have just forced her to sleep straight away and locked her up in the basement.

 What's the matter? Is the prediction about the fall of my power because of a woman true? Is Agatha the woman in question? If that's true, maybe Agatha should suffer the same fate as my other partners.
