Sebastian POV
I paced up and down the hallway as I thought of what had just happened a while ago.
"Yes, I just made the right decision, my mother was helpful to my father and I deserve someone who would be as strong as she was" I muttered to myself.
I didn't want to think about the look on Aurora's face when I told her to die, she was obviously in pain but I didn't care.
There was no way I was going to marry a weakling and have her as my Luna, there was no way that would have happened.
Aurora couldn't even protect herself from the rogues who had attacked the pack three years ago and she had caused the lives of my pack members who had placed their lives on the line just to protect her.
"I deserve someone better, someone who will fight by my side, someone who isn't a weakling"I muttered to myself.
I had lost all hope when I found out my mate was the same person she was two years ago. After her eighteenth birthday, I had hoped her wolf would come but it didn't no matter how hard we had tried.
I was disappointed at her at that very moment although she didn't know of it.
My mind flashed back to the training I had insisted she went through, but still, she wasn't able to keep up with it, I had been forced to keep quiet because I would be the next Alpha but not anymore
I had done what I knew was the perfect thing for the pack I was going to lead someday and if I had the chance, I was going to do it again.
Although my heart still felt a little bit uneasy I was sure that it would go away with time, all I had to do was be positive.
I exhaled sharply as I pulled the door open and was greeted by the cheerful demeanor of my friends who had wild smiles on their faces.
"What is it?" I turned my gaze to my friends who had cheerful looks on their faces.
"You shouldn't have treated Aurora in such a manner, she was such a good help when we needed one," I heard Karen say.
" What do you mean?" I squinted my eyes at him, wondering what exactly he was saying.
" We saw Aurora running away with her eyes glistening with tears on them," I felt uneasy when I heard what he had just said.
I didn't know what my father was going to do if he knew that I had humiliated Aurora, although none of my friends knew her as my mate, there was no assurance that they wouldn't blurt words out.
"On the brighter side, I heard that you are to be crowned as the Alpha of the red moon pack this weekend," his words intercepted my thoughts.
I flipped my head toward him, wondering where he had heard it from.
"Where did you hear that from?" I asked with my heart beating fast against its rib cage, I was finding it hard to breathe.
I watched as he took steps closer to me, as though he was talking about something that was forbidden.
"My father said they were informed at the meeting today," he had a wild smile on his face, that ended just above his lips.
I twirled around, heading toward a direction that was well-known to me. I was going to get the facts about this news and I had to do so now.
"Aren't you going to the party?" I heard them ask simultaneously, I shook my head at them.
"Sebastian, have you seen Aurora?" I heard a voice question me
"Laden" I forced a smile on my face as I glanced at him.
"Have you seen her? I have been trying to trace her scent, but I couldn't, so I thought having you do so as her mate would be easier" I could feel cold sip through my body as I stared at him.
The moon had hit its apex and I could hear wolves howling across the pack.
"I haven't seen Aurora but I can help you search for her" I answered him nervously.
" That will be the best, my parents haven't seen her and they are worried sick about her, they said she informed them she was coming to meet you but it seems like she didn't"
" I saw her once but she left immediately saying that she was coming home, it is surprising that she didn't come home to you,'' I finally uttered the word that was stuck in between my lips.
"That is unlike Aurora, she does whatever she says she would and she barely lies to me," Laden's voice was a little higher than normal and I turned toward him.
" Do not forget who you are talking to," I warned him.
" What is going on here?" My father's voice causes shivers down my spine, I wasn't expecting him to be here.
"Father" I bowed my head to the ground, showing my respect to him.
"Son" he patted me gently on the back.
"What is wrong?" His gaze traveled from Laden who was standing by my side to me.
"Aurora is nowhere to be found, father" I reported while trying to calm my racing heart.
"This cannot happen, guards," he screamed at the guards who came running in their numbers.
"Convene a search party for Aurora now trailing her scent, my son Sebastian will be in charge, make sure you come back with her" he ordered them.
" Yes, Alpha" they bowed their heads to the ground before running away.
"Let us go" I could see the proud look on my father's face as I led the guards away and my heart hitched because I knew what I had done.
" Laden, have you seen her yet?" Aurora's parents ran almost breathlessly and it got me wondering what they would do if they found out what I had done.
" Come with us Father, mother please stay behind, I do not want anything happening to you" I heard him dissuading his mother from coming along.
"I insist, this is my daughter" I lead the search party, following Aurora's scent out of the pack.
It was becoming stronger as we approached the river and I wasn't thinking straight anymore.
I didn't want anything that would implicate me, not now when I was this close to him being made Alpha.
"I can feel her presence" Laden screamed out, he picked up the pace running toward the river shore overlooking the cliff.
"Aurora, that is hers," I heard a voice screamed from behind and I walked closer to take a good look at what they were pointing at.
I could tell what it was because I had gotten it for her, but here it was lying on the river shore.
"This cannot be happening, not Aurora'' I shook my head, not wanting to be blamed.
"That is a shoe, it is just a pair, we should be positive because seeing it here doesn't mean it is hers" I could hear her father's voice behind me and I could tell that he was broken at just the sight that he had just seen.
Aurora's POV I tried to flick my eyes open but I couldn't, not when I could sense the sun rays burning my skin, I wondered what exactly was happening and where I was.I finally forced my eyes open and placed a hand on my eyes, shutting out the sun rays that filtered in. If I could remember, I had jumped down the cliff after being belittled by Sebastian and finding out the truth from my parents."Good morning princess Aurora" I heard two voices greet me in unison and I removed the hands which I had placed on my eyes, sitting upright on the bed I was on."Am I in heaven?" I muttered out loud as I gazed at the two women who were standing before me and were dressed in white. Their skin was pearly white and it was nothing as I had seen before, I gazed at them with my mouth agape, in admiration. "This must be heaven" I concluded as I gazed at the decorations in the room which were white and they were beautiful. "Welcome back to Arizona kingdom, princess" one of them had a smile on thei
Aurora's POV I bit hard into my lip as I thought of the perfect answer to give, I was fidgeting and I didn't even know until my mum hugged me tightly. "I gave it all, mother," I turned my gaze from my father until it landed on my mother. I was waiting to see the disapproval on their faces but there was none. "I gave it all to one man, my body, my soul, and even my heart, I thought that he was worth it all but he turned out to be the worth mistake in my life" " He belittled me, called me names, made me hate myself just because I wasn't a wolf and I wasn't fit enough to be his mate," " Mother he humiliated me, made me wish that I was dead, and when I got home and found out the truth that I was adopted, my heart shattered" I sniffed while blinking severally. " I got home to inform my parents of what Sebastian had just but there, at that very moment, I heard that I was adopted, they loved me, mother, my adopted parents did" " They treated me well and I would have never wished for so
Sebastian POV"We have to split ourselves into groups, so we will be able to search for her quickly," Aurora's father suggested. I nodded my head, agreeing with him on what he had just said, the guards who I had brought alongside me formed three teams. "One should comb the forest, another should search the river shore and the other should search on top of the cliff" I gave out my orders to the three teams. They all bowed their heads in reverence to me, before walking away."Are you sure that Aurora didn't come to meet with you?" Her mother asked me while I was walking away with one of the team. I turned around to answer her but when I saw the way she glared at me, I was taken aback. "Does she know anything?" I wondered as I gulped in my saliva while thinking of what I was going to say to her. "I saw her from a distance but I never talked to her" I answered, with a firm voice that would leave anyone covinced. "Mother, please stop pushing this further, Sebastian isn't one to hurt
Sebastian POVThe walk back home was depressing, everyone seemed to be grieving as no one could find the right word to say, not at this moment. I held Aurora's Jacket and her shoe, clenching them tightly, her scent wafting into my nostrils reminding me of the last conversation with her and how it had turned out. I ran my gaze at the people who were walking beside me and I exhaled when I saw none of them looking back at me. I was sure that I had that guilty look on my face and if I was caught, it wasn't going to help. "You have to be strong mother, Aurora will come back soon," I heard Laden console his mother, with his hands wrapped firmly around her and I wondered how he was going to feel if he found out that she wouldn't be coming back. I wondered what thought was running through his mind at the moment and for the first time in a long while, I wished that I could find out what was going through someone else's mind. I wanted to know what he was thinking about at the moment, I nee
Sebastiana POV "How about we stay calm, father?" I asked while fidgeting, there was a belief that whatever the ancestral goddess said was real and I didn't want her to find out what I have done to Aurora. "Son, what did you say?" My mother asked me, her eyes glinting with tears, and my eyes broke at the sight of it. Different thoughts ran through my mind as I thought of what she was going to do to me if she found out what I had done to Aurora, her Aurora. I shook my head, dissuading the thought from my head, I had to do whatever I had in mind and I had to act fast. " Aurora was everything to me and I cannot stop thinking of how life would have been with her by my side" I placed a hand on my chest, caressing it gently as though I was in great pain. "She deserves justice, and that is what I am going to get for her" I glanced at the faces surrounding me, and my heart hitched when I saw those faces. Those faces that had heard me talking harshly to Aurora, glanced at me with stunne
Aurora's POV"What do you mean mother?" I questioned her, wanting to know what she meant by what she had just said."My diamond," she caressed my cheek running her hands on them gently. "It is nothing that you should worry yourself about" she assured me, but I wasn't having it. Not after I have heard what she had said. "Mother" I muttered out gently to her, not withdrawing her gaze away from those eyes, those eyes that spoke volumes and looked like mine. "You shouldn't hide things away from me," I objected when she attempted to walk away from the room, leaving me in the care of the maids who had been assigned to me. "It isn't time yet, Aurora," she fixed her eyes on mine. Her skin glistened when it came in contact with the sun."Then when will it be time, mother?" I knew that I had just gotten here but still, I wanted to be involved in everything that concerned them, I wanted to relieve them of the stress that they had gone through while searching for me and I wanted her to know th
Sebastian POV"Come along with me" my father made gestures at me as he made his way toward the part of the pack which has been assigned to the ancestral goddess. My face was devoid of emotions and I knew that anyone who saw me in the present state that I was in would be scared of even approaching me, I knew that I was supposed to be scared, scared that I would be caught but I couldn't bring myself to.My gaze traveled to the sky where the moon seemed to be fading, making way for the sun to come through and I felt faint. My toe ached badly and I frowned slightly as I struggled to meet my father who was walking at fast paces. "Is something wrong, son?" My father turned around, taking a look at me, I shook my head at him, motioning at him to continue walking but it seemed that he wasn't having it. He scrutinized my outfit before fixing his gaze on my legs. " You are limping,""I am okay, father, do not let this little injury of mine stop us from going to find out where my mate is, it i
Sebastian POVThe expectant look on the faces of the people we had left behind broke my heart as I took a step closer, although I didn't care about Aurora but still, seeing the people who I was going to rule over soon in so much pain, made me unhappy."What did she say?" Mrs. Alexis asked while wiping the tears that were in her eyes as she walked toward us. "Mother" Laden called out gently, placing an arm around her trying to stop her from tripping over when she mistakenly stepped on a stone"My Aurora" she glanced at me as though she was hoping that she would be in my hands, and she would take her home with her. "Alpha," she gripped my father's clothes, squeezing them tightly but Laden was quick to pull her away. ''I wouldn't cry" she shook her head. "Not anymore, because I know Aurora is fine and she will come back to me, Laden" she screamed out her son's name, as though he wasn't close to her. "We aren't going to relent in whatever we are doing," she gave an order to him, which
