Blurt out words

Sebastian POV

I paced up and down the hallway as I thought of what had just happened a while ago.

"Yes, I just made the right decision, my mother was helpful to my father and I deserve someone who would be as strong as she was" I muttered to myself.

I didn't want to think about the look on Aurora's face when I told her to die, she was obviously in pain but I didn't care.

There was no way I was going to marry a weakling and have her as my Luna, there was no way that would have happened.

Aurora couldn't even protect herself from the rogues who had attacked the pack three years ago and she had caused the lives of my pack members who had placed their lives on the line just to protect her.

"I deserve someone better, someone who will fight by my side, someone who isn't a weakling"I muttered to myself.

I had lost all hope when I found out my mate was the same person she was two years ago. After her eighteenth birthday, I had hoped her wolf would come but it didn't no matter how hard we had tried.

I was disappointed at her at that very moment although she didn't know of it.

My mind flashed back to the training I had insisted she went through, but still, she wasn't able to keep up with it, I had been forced to keep quiet because I would be the next Alpha but not anymore

I had done what I knew was the perfect thing for the pack I was going to lead someday and if I had the chance, I was going to do it again.

Although my heart still felt a little bit uneasy I was sure that it would go away with time, all I had to do was be positive.

I exhaled sharply as I pulled the door open and was greeted by the cheerful demeanor of my friends who had wild smiles on their faces.

"What is it?" I turned my gaze to my friends who had cheerful looks on their faces.

"You shouldn't have treated Aurora in such a manner, she was such a good help when we needed one," I heard Karen say.

" What do you mean?" I squinted my eyes at him, wondering what exactly he was saying.

" We saw Aurora running away with her eyes glistening with tears on them," I felt uneasy when I heard what he had just said.

I didn't know what my father was going to do if he knew that I had humiliated Aurora, although none of my friends knew her as my mate, there was no assurance that they wouldn't blurt words out.

"On the brighter side, I heard that you are to be crowned as the Alpha of the red moon pack this weekend," his words intercepted my thoughts.

I flipped my head toward him, wondering where he had heard it from.

"Where did you hear that from?" I asked with my heart beating fast against its rib cage, I was finding it hard to breathe.

I watched as he took steps closer to me, as though he was talking about something that was forbidden.

"My father said they were informed at the meeting today," he had a wild smile on his face, that ended just above his lips.

I twirled around, heading toward a direction that was well-known to me. I was going to get the facts about this news and I had to do so now.

"Aren't you going to the party?" I heard them ask simultaneously, I shook my head at them.

"Sebastian, have you seen Aurora?" I heard a voice question me

"Laden" I forced a smile on my face as I glanced at him.

"Have you seen her? I have been trying to trace her scent, but I couldn't, so I thought having you do so as her mate would be easier" I could feel cold sip through my body as I stared at him.

The moon had hit its apex and I could hear wolves howling across the pack.

"I haven't seen Aurora but I can help you search for her" I answered him nervously.

" That will be the best, my parents haven't seen her and they are worried sick about her, they said she informed them she was coming to meet you but it seems like she didn't"

" I saw her once but she left immediately saying that she was coming home, it is surprising that she didn't come home to you,'' I finally uttered the word that was stuck in between my lips.

"That is unlike Aurora, she does whatever she says she would and she barely lies to me," Laden's voice was a little higher than normal and I turned toward him.

" Do not forget who you are talking to," I warned him.

" What is going on here?" My father's voice causes shivers down my spine, I wasn't expecting him to be here.

"Father" I bowed my head to the ground, showing my respect to him.

"Son" he patted me gently on the back.

"What is wrong?" His gaze traveled from Laden who was standing by my side to me.

"Aurora is nowhere to be found, father" I reported while trying to calm my racing heart.

"This cannot happen, guards," he screamed at the guards who came running in their numbers.

"Convene a search party for Aurora now trailing her scent, my son Sebastian will be in charge, make sure you come back with her" he ordered them.

" Yes, Alpha" they bowed their heads to the ground before running away.

"Let us go" I could see the proud look on my father's face as I led the guards away and my heart hitched because I knew what I had done.

" Laden, have you seen her yet?" Aurora's parents ran almost breathlessly and it got me wondering what they would do if they found out what I had done.

" Come with us Father, mother please stay behind, I do not want anything happening to you" I heard him dissuading his mother from coming along.

"I insist, this is my daughter" I lead the search party, following Aurora's scent out of the pack.

It was becoming stronger as we approached the river and I wasn't thinking straight anymore.

I didn't want anything that would implicate me, not now when I was this close to him being made Alpha.

"I can feel her presence" Laden screamed out, he picked up the pace running toward the river shore overlooking the cliff.

"Aurora, that is hers," I heard a voice screamed from behind and I walked closer to take a good look at what they were pointing at.

I could tell what it was because I had gotten it for her, but here it was lying on the river shore.

"This cannot be happening, not Aurora'' I shook my head, not wanting to be blamed.

"That is a shoe, it is just a pair, we should be positive because seeing it here doesn't mean it is hers" I could hear her father's voice behind me and I could tell that he was broken at just the sight that he had just seen.
