30-year old Ginger Cadette faked her death to get closer and revenge on her enemies - Charlie and Charlotte. Ginger was devasted after her fiancé, Charlie, left her during her darkest days. She was battling brain cancer she didn't know that she had for a year and was given only 4 months left to live. During her fight, the Bar & Life bar she owns goes bankrupt when her irresponsible and incompetent twin takes over, and she loses money and the friends she thought were real. Two months after Charlie left Ginger, a miracle happened and she was cancer-free. She tried to see Charlie talk to him because she still loved him but then, she found out that two months ago, Charlie married Charlotte, the heiress of her rival bar who's pregnant with Charlie's child. If things couldn't get any worse, Charlotte bought Ginger's business and lost everything. So Ginger faked her death, and her identity and put on a disguise to apply as Charlotte's Secretary so she could get closer to the two and wreck them as much as they wrecked her.

“Let’s break up,” Charlie said without flinching and showing any hint of hesitation in his mint green eyes.
“T-That’s not funny,” Ginger almost choked on her words. She knew that Charlie was serious about breaking up with her ever since he started acting cold and distant. The Charlie that she dated and loved is gone.
Her heart knew that, but her mind couldn’t accept it.
“I am not joking,” Charlie said coldly. He lifted his hand and started removing the engagement ring he wore on his ring finger. “I would like to cancel our engagement. It was a mistake.”
His words gave a pang of pain in Ginger’s heart. Ginger was fighting the tears swelling in her crystal blue eyes, like how she was fighting her brain cancer that she didn’t know she was carrying for two years already.
“D-Did I do something wrong?”
Even though she was struggling to move, she forced herself to stand up from the patient bed she’d been lying on for six months, right after being diagnosed with brain cancer.
Due to her condition, she had gotten so thin and so weak that any man could lift her with one hand. When she managed to stand up, she slowly walked closer and reached out for Charlie’s hand, but just as she was about to hold his hand, Charlie stepped back, causing Ginger to fall to her knees.
“I cannot marry someone so weak,” he said coldly as she looked down on Ginger. “I don’t want to live with someone whom I still have to take care of. What am I, your parent? A wife should obey and serve their husband.”
Ginger looked up, and when their eyes met, she threw him a sharp glare.
“Go to hell, bastard! It’s the perfect place for people like you!”
She wanted to ask him if he ever genuinely loved her, but she chose not to, because she already knew the answer based on his treatment.
“I’m glad we didn’t get married because you’ll never be the guy who can stand next to her partner in sickness and in health. You’re not a loss. Ever.”
“Say whatever you want,” he said and then turned his back on her. “You’re dying, anyway. You only have four months to live.” Charlie started walking away, and when he held the doorknob to open the door and leave, Ginger started to speak once again, which made him stop.
“The moments we’ve shared..” she started as tears started flowing down her cheeks. “D-Do they mean nothing to you?”
He didn’t say anything. Ginger started sobbing. And then he opened the door and closed it.
Charlie didn’t leave the door open anymore, unlike the times when they were still happy together.
From the other side of the door, she could hear Charlie’s footsteps fading away. And as she continued to cry her broken heart out, it started to rain hard. It’s almost as if the weather is trying to share the pain that Ginger is enduring right now.
As Ginger cried, she saw blood dripping on the floor from her nose, which gave her a headache. Then slowly, she felt dizzy and found herself falling into unconsciousness.
Just then, her assigned nurse came to her room to check up on Ginger, but to her surprise, the nurse saw Ginger unconscious on the floor. Alarmed, the nurse buzzed the emergency button and called other medical professionals.
“Code Blue in Room 101! Code Blue in Room 101! I repeat, Code Blue in Room 101!”
While waiting for other professionals to come, the nurse checked Ginger’s breathing and noticed that she was barely breathing. So she performed CPR immediately and checked her wrist and neck for any pulse. It didn’t take too long for the emergency team to arrive. The nurse explained everything to the emergency team before carrying her to the ICU.

The moment she opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was a very white and clean hospital ceiling. Her mind was buzzing, and her memories felt fuzzy. She looked around, hoping she could see anyone she could ask questions about what happened to her.
‘Ugh, this sucks,’ she thought to herself. ‘What happened to me again? How did I end up here?’
She tried to recall everything, but the more she tried, the more her head hurt, so she didn’t force herself to think and just let things be. She knew that she was going to remember what happened later on, anyway.
She looked outside the hospital window from the 25th floor. She loved being at the top, where she could see everyone — the view, watch people move around, and see how the world was doing down there. She wanted to see everything, which is why she loved standing on something tall.
‘These are the things that I’m never going to see again when I die,’ she thought to herself.
Slowly dying feels like torture — emotional, physical, and mental health are all slowly shutting down. Tears stream down Ginger’s pale cheeks.
She was struggling and in pain for too long, so she just wanted to end everything — end her life. What hurt the most was when the people she thought cared for her weren’t by her side — Charlie, parents, and friends — all gone.
Ginger took a deep breath, wiped away her tears, and told herself, “I don’t want to spend the rest of my remaining life crying like this. I have to make the most of it.”
Suddenly, she heard a knock from the other side of her door and pushed it open. “Ms. Ginger Caddette. How are you feeling?” It was the same nurse who found her lying on the floor.
She forced a smile and answered, “Better than earlier. Thanks,” Ginger responded nicely.
“That’s a relief,” the nurse said. “By the way, someone wanted to talk to you on the phone.” The nurse walked towards Ginger and gave her the phone.
Ginger mouthed, ‘Thank you’ before pressing the phone to her ears. “Hello? Who’s this?”
“Hi! Am I talking to Ms. Ginger Cadette?” the man from the other line asked.
“Yes, this is her speaking,” Ginger responded. Due to her current condition, her voice has gotten hoarse, but she still managed to sound loud and clear. “How can I help you?”
“Hi, Ms. Cadette! This is Marcus Beckham, the CEO of Slottery Hotel Casino. I heard from your twin brother, Carter, that you were going through tough times right now, and I am sorry to hear that.”
“Hello, Mr. Beckham. My brother? How are the two of you related?”
“Didn’t he tell you? I bought your bar house because that business went bankrupt, and Carter had a debt from your bank worth $30,000,000,” he explained. “I saw that your business has potential, but it seems like Carter was too irresponsible to manage that, so I decided to buy it, and he agreed right away.”
“HE DID — WHAT?!”

Ginger couldn’t get Bryan and her out of her head while driving to her enemies’ workplace. She remembered that she was being intimate with Bryan, but since she was drunk, she thought that it was just a silly and steamy dream about them. So she was surprised when she woke up wearing nothing but a blanket in an unfamiliar place. She shook her head and refused to accept that something had happened to them. Guilt washed over her because Bryan was her mother’s boyfriend. She was furious that Bryan took advantage of her situation and slept with her, knowing that Ginger was his girlfriend’s daughter. If Bryan loved Ginger’s mother, he wouldn’t have done that.Groaning, Ginger muttered, “Ugh…boys,” she sighed. “I couldn’t believe that I slept with a guy like that.”ᯓ★Ginger rushed to the villain’s lair, breathing heavily because she was in a hurry and didn’t want to be late. Ginger always hated Bryan because he dated Ginger’s mother, which caused her mother to leave her family. Ginger made sure that Bryan would feel that. This is why Bryan couldn’t believe that he was having sexual intercourse with his girlfriend’s daughter, who was riding and pounding on him faster and harder as he massaged her bouncy breasts.Their bodies were moving in sync, and when they were done, both were breathing heavily with sweat all over their naked bodies. Ginger dropped next to him, and Bryan wrapped his strong arms around her bare body, pulling her closer.Bryan smiled and muttered, “I couldn’t believe that this happened.”“So do I,” she responded as she placed her hand on his cock, rubbing its tip.“Stop that. You wouldn’t want me asking for another round,” Bryan warned.Ginger looked up at him. “Can’t move anymore?” she mocked. “Pathetic.”“Oh, you’re challenging me, huh?” Bryan said. “Why don’t we go to the place where we could continue?”“I like the sound of that.”And
ᯓ★Frustrated with her current situation, Ginger went to a bar to grab some alcohol in hopes that it would help her forget her frustrations for a while and just have fun.Even though she was not going to work, she still kept her real identity hidden by wearing her wig and contact lenses. And for tonight’s outfit, she wore an off-shoulder short tight black dress, showing her curves in the right places and some cleavage as well. The length of her skirt was above her knee, showing her flawless legs and thighs. She let her wavy hair fall up to her shoulders and wore her favorite earrings. As she walked inside, all eyes were on her. Some guys were checking her out from head to toe, perverts bit the bottom of their lips as they scanned her legs and cleavage hungrily. But Ginger ignored them because she was drowning in her thoughts to care about other people’s looks.Ginger walked up to the bar and sat on the stool, crossing her legs. “One Grasshopper Rock, please.”The bartender flashed a c
“You’re hired. Welcome to the team, Lucy,” Charlotte welcomed Ginger with a sweet smile as she shook Ginger’s hand.Ginger was not thrilled to work as her rival’s secretary, but if she wanted to take revenge, she should endure her current situation. She had to get closer to Charlotte and Charlie, find their weaknesses, break them apart, and sabotage their entire life. Out of hatred, she wanted to ruin them.“Thank you, Charlotte,” Ginger said, plastering a smile on her face. “I am looking forward to working with you.”“How soon can you start?” Charlotte asked and let go of Ginger’s hand.“I can start —” Ginger trailed off when someone knocked on the door, and from the other side, Ginger heard a very familiar voice that made her heart ache.“It’s Charlie. Can I come in?” he asked. It’s been three months since she last saw him, and she missed him. Flashes of her memories with him from yesterday came back.‘Stay strong, Ginger,’ she thought to herself. ‘That man betrayed you. He turned h
“I’m going to move out of my mother’s house and find somewhere else to stay,” Ginger told Bryan while they were driving towards home.“What? Why?” Bryan asked, shocked. “Why would you decide to leave? I mean, you just got home!”“I’m not planning on staying here for long, anyway.”“Then why did you return?”She fell silent for a while. Why did she return? She returned for her mother — hoping that she could feel her care and love — things that she never felt when she was in the hospital.“Why do you care?” Ginger responded. “And again, mind your own business. I’m leaving, that’s it!”Bryan shook his head sideways and heaved a sigh.“Don’t you dare let others know what I am up to, alright? You don’t want to make me mad.”“Yet here you are, telling me your plans,” Bryan chuckled. “I’m glad that you trust me.”“What? Who said I trust you?!”“If you didn’t, you wouldn’t have told me about your plans.”“Well, I didn’t have plans on telling you, but you overheard me in my bedroom, right?” Gi
