PRISCILLA'S POV

●●●●

I stood halfway down the stairs, socks already slipping off my ankle with my backpack hanging heavy on my shoulders. The TV screen was on with the chap on it moving his mouth, whereas I paid no attention to what he was saying at all. As I took the last step down, the glass in my hold slipped off my grasp to shatter on the floor.

“Oh no!” I exclaimed, looking down at the crystal glass in pieces and orange juice in a mess on the floor.“Mummy!!!” I cried out immediately.

She didn't react instantly, her eyes fixed on the TV screen.

“I'm sorry. I didn't mean to, I promise. I'll clean up the mess before you know it.” I rushed to the small cupboard beside the sink, pulling out cleaning stuff like broom, dustpan, paper towels, disinfectant spray and thick rubber gloves she never let me

CHAPTER 172 FREDDIE'S POV●●●● “Rhianna…” I called, but she walked away without giving me a second glance. My head dropped forward, breaths coming out uneven as I readjusted myself on the chair, cuffs still on my wrists. I tasted blood at the corner of my mouth, swallowing it down because crying wasn't seriously going to change anything. The metal door creaked open again, prompting me to lift my head slowly. It was a woman who had just stepped in. She walked slowly, not giving me the hard glare that other officers would, as instead, she made her way over to the desk, heels done clicking on the floor. She drew the chair opposite me to plop down on it, placing a leather folder on it while nudging a crawling insect aside without flinching. “Freddie!” She uttered my name, her eyes meeting mine. “I am your lawyer.” She introduced herself as one. I let out a weak, humorless breath. “That's funny.” I muttered. “I didn't ask for one.” She crossed her leg anyway, placing her hands on

XAVIER'S POV●●●●A crunch of chips turned out to be the only steady sound in the living room where I was, seated at the dining table which was having my system on it. With my hand typing on the keys, I dug into a packet of snacks with the other, bringing it closer to my lips and throwing it into my mouth to munch on. While the light from the screen flashed into my eyes, I looked into the unfinished applications and tabs I had refreshed far too many times to count. Behind me was Lisa, still in her stunning white flowing wedding dress, pacing to and fro with a worried expression. “You're being too restless for real. I'm afraid you might even ruin the floor if you keep on going back and forth nonstop.” I talked out of concern, eyes still fixed on the screen. “Excuse you?!!!” She snapped. “How can you just sit there and chew whatever, acting like you know absolutely nothing about the mess I'm right in.” She added, and before I could take my eyes off the screen, she had left the sp

PRISCILLA’S POV●●●● The school bus stopped making its honking sound…the instant the driver pulled over in front of my school, the doors sliding open with a squeak. One after the other as the pupils rose from their various seats in the bus to shuffle forward, a teacher stood by the steps, clapping her hands softly to keep us in line, “Easy, don't push yourself kiddo.” I tightened my grip on my backpack strap, following the others down on a straight row. While the ground felt colder beneath my shoes and the morning air having the smell of dust and wet grasses, my ears picked up on the school bell being rung by the time keeper on duty. I walked straight toward the classroom, taking my seat close to the window before taking off my backpack to put down on the floor between my feet. And the classroom itself? Far too noisy to concentrate in, with pupils like myself scraping chairs, talking with one another, and laughing with loud voices. I unzipped my backpack, pulling out my noteb

FREDDIE'S POV●●●●The custody room felt smaller than it looked, with no windows, clock, and nothing, just a single bulb hanging on the ceiling above my head.“I already told you everything. You can't seriously force me to tell lies.” I lifted my head slowly, cuffs still on my wrists. The officer pushed himself off the wall instead of responding to me at the moment, reaching for the door. He opened the door, the heels of a lady which clicked on the floor, making me notice her walk in. She stopped walking to look at me, chewing the bubble gum in her mouth lazily. She was putting on this transparent dress with thin straps, making her look more like a whore. Her hair fell loose, messy in a way that didn't look accidental. She puffed out the bubble gum in her mouth and it burst… “Well…” She said, dr

  • Revenge Of my Ex- Mother In Law   Chapter 167

PRISCILLA'S POV●●●● A mouthwatering scent of breakfast, which smelled like something buttery, spilled out from the kitchen before I could even look up from my iPad. I lay flat on my belly on the couch, feet kicking slowly in the air as my fingers scrolled through the screen. This was me getting a view of things like shoes, books, barbie dolls and so on, till my eyes caught a view of Auntie Lisa in her stunning white wedding dress. I straightened to sit upright so fast that the cushion almost slipped off the couch. “Yippee!!!” I squealed, nearly dropping the iPad in my hold. “Auntie Lisa is finally getting married for real.” I added, jumping off the couch to run straight into the kitchen barefoot. “Mummy!!! Mummy!!! Look!!! Look!!!” I waved the ipad. Mom stood close to the electric stove with a spoon in her hold, sleeves rolled up and a pan with fluffy and golden eggs sizzling softly in front of her. On the counter too was a plate of slice avocado and toasted bread stacked ne
