ETHA'S POV

A lady had walked in earlier like she owned the place...

Her face rang a bell though, as she seemed to be part of those who attended dinner here at the mansion. However, I could tell that I had no idea of who she was or how she was related to the family. But since dad and grandpa were no longer in the living room with me, I took it upon myself to ask her who she was looking for, but she shooed me away and called me ugly.

"Am I really ugly?" I couldn't help but break down in tears as I stared at the reflection of myself in the mirror.

I had just left her presence to ascend the stairs into my new bedroom, wanting to cry until there is no more tears left in my eyes.

"Oh no!!! I think I'm ugly. I don't want to be ugly." I went wild, snatching the pillows and tossing it with all my might, watching it crash to the floor and bounce off the walls. "She called me ugly." My tears ceased as I sniffled through my nostrils, slowly composing myself with my arms crossed.
