Thorne’s POV

Finally, she’s mine.

She doesn’t know it yet, but tomorrow, I’ll marry her.

My bride.

This isn't by love. She'll obviously curse me, fight me, maybe even try to run away but I’ve already stitched the cage around her.

She’s mine.

If only she knew I was protecting her.

I leaned back in the chair, the candlelight flickering against the cold sharp lines of the walls. My hand rested loosely around the crystal glass of untouched scotch, but the fire in my veins wasn’t from anything aged in barrels. It was her.

God, she was beautiful tonight. So full of rage and confusion. Her chest rising and falling when she saw me. Her hands clenched. Those eyes? They always look like they’re drowning in something she can’t name. But I know it's fury and lust. She claims she's sick of me, tired of being stalked but when she got too curious in the bathroom…

God, the way she looked when the wax kissed her skin…

The way she looked when she inserted it in that day like a naughty lil slut.

Delilah’s POV My hands gripped the counter behind me like because it's the only thing that would ground me. What the fuck is wrong with me?? “You hate me, don’t you?” he breathed, nose brushing my cheek. “But your body—” his thumb swept softly just below my navel, “—your body tells a different story.”I turned my face, refusing to meet his gaze. “Don’t,” I said weakly. But my hips shifted ever so slightly toward his hand. My face reddened with embarrassment at my mindless actions. He chuckled darkly.“Say stop, and I will.”Of course I will… it's not hard. But when I glued my lips together unable to form a single syllable, I knew I was a goner. The air around us thickened with want, and finally I looked up at him with blazing eyes. “I won’t beg,” I whispered, defiantly. He grinned, brushing my lip with his thumb. “You will.”I swallowed hard as I could feel it…my thighs dampening. Fuck. I'm such a slut. I just escaped a shitty marriage– I should be disgusted by men, especially one

  • Revenge On My Ex-husband With His Ruthless Mafia Brother    9: Traitorous.

Delilah’s POVThey invited me for dinner and I couldn't say no. Mr. Sinclair refilled my glass with sparkling apple cider, smiling warmly. “You haven’t said a word in five minutes, Delilah. That’s either a compliment or a medical emergency.”I let out a breathy laugh. “No, it’s a compliment. I forgot what real food tastes like. Thank you… seriously. This was amazing.”I enjoyed their Roast chicken, buttery mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and freshly baked cornbread muffins. The Sinclairs always cooked from the heart, and tonight, they fed more than just my stomach. I felt calm and food they say, is healing.Mrs. Sinclair beamed. “You’ve lost weight. Your face looks tired, too. That man didn’t feed you, did he?”I smirked. “Caleb believed in food for aesthetics. Tiny portions. Microgreens. Half a scallop and a dramatic drizzle of reduction sauce.”He didn't want me to be so big when I'm pregnant. God, thankfully I would sneak into the kitchen to stuff my mouth with food whenev

  • Revenge On My Ex-husband With His Ruthless Mafia Brother    8: Down The Stairs.

Cheryse’s POV I had to see Caleb in the damn jailhouse, I had to. My eyes were hot with tears and my anger was threatening to explode. How did everything escalate so fast? It's not making any sense!I stood in front of the glass, waiting for Caleb. At least the officers allowed me to see him.Caleb stumbled into view, flanked by an officer. His hands were cuffed. His shirt was wrinkled, stained with something I didn’t want to nameHis face—God, his face—looked hollow and wild. I swallowed hard, steadying my breaths. The second he sat down on the other side of the glass, he slammed his fists on the table and shouted, “Those are my accounts! You hear me?! I was set up!”The guard didn’t flinch, but I did. “You're all crazy for listening to that bitch!!" He looked insane, and it made me grimace. Jesus. This wasn’t the Caleb Weston I clung to at charity galas. This wasn’t the man who told me I’d be his queen once he was rid of Delilah. This was the man they plastered across the news n

  • Revenge On My Ex-husband With His Ruthless Mafia Brother    7: The Calm Before Thorne

Delilah’s POVThe heavy door clicked shut behind me, and I exhaled like I’d been holding my breath for years. I able to slip past the guests, and was finally out of the house I didn’t even make it three steps before my phone buzzed. It was a message from Thorne.>>“Driver’s downstairs. He’s taking you to the mansion”I blinked. The mansion? What mansion?Wait—who said anything about a damn mansion? My thumbs hovered over my screen. I thought he’d booked a hotel or… hell, even a bunker would’ve made more sense. I didn’t want to go to his place. I didn’t want to be his guest. This feels like he's already establishing that I'm his.Swallowing the lump rising in my throat, I typed back:>>“I need to see someone first.”His response came seconds later.>> “I’m counting. You’re supposed to be there by 8.”I stared at the message, stunned.I scoffed. Counting? Who the hell did he think he was—God?I shoved my phone into my bag and walked straight past the black SUV idling near the curb. The

  • Revenge On My Ex-husband With His Ruthless Mafia Brother    6: The Demon They Created.

Delilah’s POVAfter the police hauled Caleb away in cuffs, murmurs buzzed through the air like flies to blood. But I couldn't care less. Everything I did, the look on their faces, were refreshing as hell. I stormed off toward the guest bathroom. I needed somewhere quiet. Somewhere I could breathe. And tio think.I slammed the door shut behind me and pressed my palms to the sink, trying to contain my emotions. I wasn't sad or happy. If anything, I was confused. What does Thorne wants from me? I didn't even have time to cogitate on this because I spent the last few days steeling myself for the ultimate showdown. Preparing myself for the madness I would unleash on their rotting souls..I turned on the tap and splashed cold water over my face, over and over again, like I was trying to drown the past. My body trembled—whether from adrenaline or the ghost of fear, I wasn’t sure. They deserved it– there are no two ways about it– so why am I feeling so hollow? Why does my heart hurt so mu
