Comparison

Camilla sighed. She had been hoping for a different response. She had been expecting to hear Ransom beg for more time, but she hadn't expected him to compare himself to Anthony.

“Anthony is better than me, haha!” he laughed but obviously hurt.

She shook her head and said, ”Ransom, I know you can do better than this. I know you have it in you to make things right. Please don't let me down. I need this money for my company. It's a matter of life and death for me.”

Ransom was taken aback. He knew he had let her down and he had been struggling to start again since his release from police station. He looked up at Camilla with a solemn expression.

“I promise I'll make things right. I'll pay you back the money I owe you. I just need some time.” he said.

“I know you will. You just need to show me that you can be responsible and that you are willing to put in the effort to make things right. I believe in you, Ransom. I know you can do this.” Camilla responded.
