Chapter 11~ Serving the King Again

ASHLEY

I was happily cutting the flowers while gossiping over the other maids with Tina. Lately, I wasn't letting my emotions show even though the rumours about Alpha Kael and I were escalating day by day.

Tina knew if care wasn't taken, I'd break down at each word they said. So, she always kept me both mentally and emotionally busy.

“I heard Stella had always wanted to serve the Alpha king, I guess that's why she took the matter so personally.” Tina laughed. “Did you see the look on her face when Kate told her?”

I burst out laughing too. “I was scared she'd grab my neck so tight until I was dead. Trust me, that look was the scariest expression I'd ever seen.”

I could feel Kate's eyes on us while we discussed. Tina wasn't taking it easy each time she burst out laughing, like she was deliberately doing that to vex them the most.

Having Tina around was just enough to forget my pain, and I bless the heavens for giving me someone like her.

“Arin!” Ms. Hilda.
