Chapter 44

HANNAH

I could feel it. A quick movement behind my back with a wooden sword in hand would hit me. And I knew she slightly went to the right, aiming the right side of my body, and now raised her sword.

But I was faster. I titled my body to the left just as the blade was about to touch my shoulder.

I didn't waste the chance. I countered back by slashing my sword at hers, which resulted in her sword falling. And I did more by kicking her stomach. It made her stumble backward.

I ran forward and then swung my sword when she was within reach. Since she still hadn't regained from the last attack, this one caused her to fall to the ground, and soon I pinned her down so she couldn't move anymore.

She tried to free herself. But I wouldn't lose, as I used all my energy to suppress her. Then she raised her hands in defeat.

I won.

"The winner of this duel is Hannah." Gamma Clara announced my victory. Only that I got up from her body and helped her.

"Nice moves, Hannah. You're faster than before."
