Chapter 5.

Ellie's POV

I woke up when I felt someone tugging me slightly.

"Mommy wake up. Wake up." the tugging continues.

"No please I wanna sleep a little more,"

"No mommy please wake up" i heard Ava's voice and sat up.

"Baby what is it?" I asked her still feeling sleepy.

"Mommy I want cupcakes. Will you bake some for me?"she asked with puppy dog eyes.

"Ok baby. Let me take a bath. We'll have a little party"I replied her caressing her long hair.

"Yeahh, mommy can I join you in the bathroom?" She asked again.

"Of course baby. Come on."

"Ava darling, your cupcakes are ready!!" I announced.

Ava ran out of her room smiling.

"Yeahhhhhh" she squealed happily.

"Yummy. Wow I love it mommy." She smiled after tasting it.

I may have stopped baking but that will never prevent me from baking for my daughter.

"Ella get us some orange drinks." I said to a maid cleaning nearby.

"What's going on here?" My Aunt who was already awake asked.

"Mommy and I are having a little party. Wanna join us grandma?" Ava asked her smiling.

My phone rings.

" Em excuse me please."I said and headed towards the dinning room.

"Yeah"

"Of course I'll be there."

Thank you for this news."

"All right bye." I said and hung up.

" Ava darling, baby please don't be angry at me. I have urgent work at the office now. I promise to celebrate with you when I get back." I said and kissed her.

She was already sobbing. I feel so bad for not being able to be a good mother to Ava for the past four years. 

" Ava please don't cry. Mommy will be back before you know it. Ok honey?" My aunt consoled her.

"Aunt Lily please take care of Ava. I need to go." I kissed her on her cheeks and went upstairs to change.

"Ella tell Rodrigo to prepare the car for me".

" Yes ma".

After changing to a light sky blue dress, I picked a black Gucci purse and a Gucci belly belt. I applied some lipstick and light powder. I took my purse and left the room. I went downstairs and I saw Ava focusing on her cake silently. I could still see her eyes welled up with tears. God, what kind of mother am I?

"Goodbye Ava." I said, trying to get her attention but she just ignored me.

I left the house with my driver and headed straight towards the office. Heard there's a bunch of good news waiting for me there.

As soon I arrived, I saw Chris waiting for me with some documents.

"Congratulations, Mrs Lance you have succeeded in taking down something from the Roberts." He smiled at me and I smiled back. Devilishly.

"How did the warehouse catch fire?" I asked, very pleased.

"We did as you instructed us to."

I instructed them to burn down the wine warehouse of the Roberts. Although it still won't affect them in their business but it will so shock them as something like this has never befallen them before. They chose the wrong person to mess with.

"Good. You've been a loyal boy to me Chris. Don't be surprised if you get a promotion soon." I said and handed him an envelope full of money. 

"Twenty million. Use it wisely." I said and grinned at him.

As soon as Chris left my office, not less than twenty minutes,my PA ran into my office. Almost out of breath. I was shocked.

" I tried to stop him ma but...," She wasn't able to complete her sentence when he burst in.

"What the hell is your problem?" He asked me sounding sexy as hell.

Flynn's POV

I was in my office talking to one of our client when one of my private investigator burst in my office.

" What the hell is your problem? Can't you see that I'm in a meeting?"I asked.

" I'm sorry sir but we have a problem."

"What is it?"

"Your warehouse has been burnt down"

"What the hell? Oh my God! Which of them?". I asked worriedly.

"The one consisting of wines."

Oh my god! 

The wines in that storehouse were over fifty million in total.

How on Earth would I explain this to my father who's out of the country at the moment?

"Do you have any clue of the person responsible for it?" I asked him feeling devastated.

"Yes sir. Elisa Lance."

My mouth dropped in an awe shape.

How could Ellie stoop so low?

What business has she and my warehouse?

What the hell was wrong with her?

Is she crazy?

First my investors and now this?

What's gonna be next? Our company?

No this has to stop right now. 

I took my jacket and burst out of my office in anger.

I didn't even wait for my driver, I just took my car and zoomed off, heading straight for the Lance's empire.

As soon as I got there, everyone cleared way for me. They knew who I was. I went straight to the VP's office. 

I met a very slender brunette at the entrance of the office.

"Excuse me sir.do you have an appointment?" She asked me. I just ignored her and was trying to push my way through when she stood and blocked me.

"Do you know who I am? Do you want to lose your job? Do you want to leave America for good? Try and stop me." I said still trying to push my way in.

Before I could even say another word, she quickly ran off and burst inside the inner office, I assume is the VP's office.

I followed her and entered. Then I heard her say;

" I tried to stop him ma but..,"

She was unable to finish as I burst my way through.

"What the hell is your problem?" I asked her in a very angry tone. I didn't think that there will come a day that I'll ever get angry at my Barney.

"Haven't you had enough? What more do you want?" I asked in the most highest tone I could ever think of.

"Pardon me Mr Roberts but what rights do you have to just walk in here and say all sorts of rubbish?" She ask me,I could see she was trying hard not to laugh.

"How could you stoop so low? I thought that maybe you're angry at me and that maybe you're seeking your revenge, that's why you keep stealing our investors but I see now, you're just a selfish and wicked bitch who wants nothing more than destroying people's lives. Did you really had to stoop so low? Aren't you scared of the people you're messing with? Destroying our warehouse, really?" I asked,this time more gently.

Ellie's POV

I tried so hard not to laugh when Flynn burst into office asking and ranting.

Staring at him face to face, I could see that he was more handsome than before. His ocean blue eyes staring so sharply at me. But shit, he no longer affects me at all.

"How could you stoop so low? I thought that maybe you're angry at me and maybe you're seeking your revenge, that's why you keep stealing our investors but I see now, you're just a selfish and wicked bitch who wants nothing more than destroying people's lives. Did you really had to stoop so low? Aren't you scared of the people you're messing with? Destroying our warehouse really?" He asked me in a low tone.

How dare him say all that?

Has he forgotten how he ruined my life?

How dare he barge into my office accusing me of destroying people's lives when he was the one that destroyed mine?

"How dare you? Who the hell do you think you are to say all these rubbish to me? Have you forgotten what you and your good for nothing family did to me? You ruined my life!" I screamed out in pain.

I saw him take a deep breath then another,

"Do you know I can sue you for this? You're messing with an higher power, Don't you know? If you really had to take out your revenge then take it out on me. Not our property." He replied, running his fingers through his hair.

"Mr Roberts, I don't know what you're talking about. What warehouse?" I asked pretending I didn't know what he was talking about.

"Don't play games with me. I know it's you. Not Xander, not anyone else but you. You burnt down our warehouse!! Don't think I'll let you get away with this. I thought that you were my barney, my Ellie who I've searched so hard for. The innocent, sweet, kind, charming and good Ellie Evans. The only woman I fell in love with. But I was wrong, you're the total opposite of her. You're wicked, selfish,rude,bad, ruthless and worst of all, you're nothing like my barney." These words melt so hard in my heart. They tried to penetrate but I fought so hard.

"Ellie Evans is dead. You killed her." I said trying all my possible best to remain rude.

I saw him stare at me. I couldn't tell what his stares contained but I know guilt was among them.

" No. You can't be my Ellie. You're a different person." He said still staring at me.

" Mr Roberts you can take this to court if you like. I don't care. But just note this one thing, I'll never stop unless I see you all breakdown. Your whole family! I won't stop unless I destroy everything you hold dear." I retorted boldly. The way he was staring at me, it was as if there was danger signals in my eyes.

Flynn's POV

Hearing her say all these, I felt my heart shatter in pieces. No. This can't be the same woman I fell in love with years ago. This one was a complete opposite of who Ellie use to be. I couldn't believe my ears.

Did she just threaten the almighty Flynn Roberts??

This woman really had some damn courage.

I took few steps closer to her. I kept on walking towards her. I could see her withdraw her steps bit by bit.

I kept on walking towards her until I was sure I was close enough to feel her breath.

Ellie's POV

He kept on coming closer to me .

Oh boy! This wasn't good at all!

Upon all the threats I made to him, he still had the guts to walk closer to me. I shifted uncomfortably and started withdrawing my steps bit by bit. 

God he was coming closer!

He kept on coming closer to me. I wanted to scream security but I couldn't even hear my own voice. A while ago I was threatening him,but that was when he was standing many steps away. But now, he was so close that I could feel his cologne. He smelled sweet and expensive.

What I didn't expect most was when I felt his hands on my waist. He drew me closer till my breasts were pressed so hard to his muscular body. He's well sculpted body. Then I heard him whisper;

" How about you report this to security too?" He said in his lowest, sexiest voice ever as he crashed his lips on mine. 

I didn't expect him to kiss me after what I did to him.

I shut my lips tight. Making sure his tongue never gets in.

He deepened the kiss, forcing me to respond to him. For the first time in years, I felt so weak. He kept biting my lower lip until he was sure I was ready to respond to him and I opened my mouth trying to gasp for air when I felt his tongue slide inside my mouth. Sucking and licking all the contents in it.

He tasted like strawberries, i hadn't had some in a while now. I felt him groan triumphantly when I surrendered and kissed him back. I put my arms around his neck pushing him forward till I was sure there was no space between us. 

How I missed this!

We kept kissing for what seemed like minutes. I pushed him hard away from me gasping for breath. I slapped him hard as soon as i realized what he had done.

Instead of backing away he came closer and grabbed me by the waist kissing me hard again. I fought him hard, hitting him hard and pushing him hard but he remained adamant.

I summoned all the demons inside of me and pushed him hard until I was sure he nearly lost his balance.

"Security!" I called out.

"Don't deny it. You still feel something for me. I felt it through your kisses." He kept ranting and ranting.

"I don't know what you're talking about. Security!!" I screamed again.

"You think you're high and mighty huh? You're still the whore I bedded four years ago." These last words of his caught me off guard. 

I slapped him hard again. This time making sure the blood underneath his white skin evolves.

" How dare you?? You bastard!! You filthy bastard! Get this man away from me and make sure he never sets his feet here again. Go against me, consider yourself fired! Do you hear me!?" I spat angrily.

"Yes ma."

I saw them trying to hold Flynn bit he wriggled out of their holds. It was obvious they were scared of him.

I couldn't let him see me like this. my tears were already threatening to fall.

Flynn's POV

I didn't knew what came over me when I said that disgusting word to her. I just wanted to drive to her edges. I couldn't help it with the way she was responding to me earlier. She held me tight then all of a sudden, she pushed me away.

I saw her eyes. Tears threatening to fall. The fierce and fury were no longer there. I felt so angry at my self for calling her a whore. I didn't mean to.

God what did I do??

I just withdrew my steps and went out of her office.

I felt so sad, so angry, so weak and most of all, so betrayed.

I just entered my car and zoomed off without even looking back. I was going to punish myself for calling her a whore.

Ellie's POV

As soon as Flynn was out, I broke down in tears. For the first time in four years, I cried my eyes out.

" You're still the whore I bedded four years ago"

The words kept replaying in my mind like music. 

How dare him call me a whore??

When he was the one that took advantage of me??

I took my purse,got into my car and zoomed off.

" You're still the whore I bedded four years ago" 

These words kept playing in my mind. 

I sobbed silently when I saw my phone ring and I peeped to look at who it was when i saw that it was Xander calling for the fifth time.

God he must be worried by now.

I parked my car and got out of my car and went inside. 

I sneaked in so my Aunt and Ava won't notice I was back.

I sneaked in my room and quietly shut the door.

I glanced at the mirror when I saw that my lips were swollen red from our kiss.

I broke down in tears, crying so hard.

How could he just call me a whore?

I cried my eyes out till I was sure I heard someone calling my name as everything became blurry and darkness enveloped me.
