Chapter 2: Meeting the Alpha

Alison's POV:

I'm really happy to have this second chance in life. My revenge is proceeding well. I was now the school's Queen Bee. If it wasn't for my Omega features I wouldn't achieve this. Now that I'm popular Mandy and David's lives are in the palm of my hands. A little pull in the strings I have woven around the school and their good days are over. I want them to suffer. I want them to experience the pain I went through with their betrayal. The lives they claim I will claim it too. But for now, I will just enjoy bullying these two until they kneel before me.

Sunday afternoon I went to the mall. Mom asked me to buy some stuff for her. I also went since I need to buy makeup and a few dresses. It's not that easy to change from the shy, nerdy, naive girl I was once. But with the effort and knowledge I gained from the internet, it was worth my time.

I was going to the outfit store my classmate always talked about when I smell something sweet. There was no nearby coffee shop but I was smelling cappuccino with a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg. I follow the scent till I bumped into a tall guy. Jet black hair, eyes that look like a sapphire stone, striking jawlines, and a well-sculpted body. He looks gorgeous in his green suit. It fits him so well the muscles are screaming to let them out of their cage-like outfit. His slicked-back hair is so cool I want to touch it. Captivated, I forgot I was in the mall. Everyone was watching us and onlookers started to gossip.

"Not gonna help?" I asked sarcastically.

He only gawked at me like an idiot while his left eyebrow started to rise. He passed by completely ignoring what I said. My jaw almost dropped to the floor, I was ignored for the first time in my life. My pride won't accept it so I cried.

"Waaah! What a ruthless man. After bumping into a delicate young woman no words of apologies nor help to get me up. What a rude man." I wailed. To my surprise, humans flocked my way as they tried to appease me and help me up.

'My charm doesn't work for him huh'

I look at the guy who bumped me but he was nowhere to be seen. But my senses are telling me he was mad as hell. Thanking the people who helped me up I quickly go inside the store. He might show up and bite my neck so I decided to hide there. After a few hours, the bloodlust I was sensing was gone. I got myself some new pairs of dresses and shoes. I'm also done with getting new cosmetics and the stuff mom asked of me.

Sitting outside the cafe on the third floor, I fish my phone in the bag. Scrolling through the news and gossip around my neighborhood. My fingers stopped when certain news caught my attention. I looked left and right before going back to my phone to check if humans are nearby. When the coast was clear I read it again.

'Alpha Austin is going to sign a treaty with the most powerful pack on the East Coast, the Nightraid pack. There will be a ball held on the next full moon to commemorate the treaty. The Alpha of the Nightraid pack has an elder son, Lucius Kingdred, who's going to attend to find a suitable mate. So Omegas and Betas get ready it might be you who's the next Luna of their pack.'

This was another element that will add to my revenge. I only need to have a dance with this guy to make David go crazy. Once he sees I'm out of his reach anymore he will regret getting with Mandy. Slurping my frappe I quickly got up to go back home. Before going out of the mall I got a whiff of that cinnamon smell again. But this time ignoring it because I might bump into other people if I give it attention.

'Not worth my time

The next day at school it seems there's a ruckus going on. Students keep whispering about a new transfer student. If he or she is cute I might get interested. My heart says I need to check it but my head tells me to focus on my revenge. As always my heart always wins. I also went to the principal's office where the students crowded near the staircase.

"What's happening?" I asked Julie, a girl from the next classroom.

"The new transfer student is a guy and oh my. He's delicious," she uttered dramatically.

'If she's a werewolf she would drown with her drool lmao.'

"Girl you better wipe that drool or he will never notice you." I playfully smacked her. She laughed and got a handkerchief to wipe her mouth. Acting as if there was drool. I think this girl will be my new best friend. it's just a bummer we're in a different class.

When the bell rings, the crowd dispels as the first period will soon start. It was a great day indeed. No villains have shown up today. I guess they're busy being lovey-dovey. As I was spacing out the classroom door suddenly opened. The cinnamon scent I smelled yesterday at the mall washed me like a tidal wave. It was intoxicating I almost fainted. But what surprised me the most is the person who comes in.

"Good morning everyone. I'd like you to meet Lucius Kingdred, our new transfer student from Illowey." Our teacher greeted us.

'No way this is happening!'

The guy I bumped yesterday was none other than the son of the Alpha who's signing a treaty with our pack. The one who's looking for a mate. As soon as our eyes met I could hear his Alpha growl in my mind.

"Hello everyone, I am Lucius Kingdred. Seventeen years old and I came from Illowey. A pleasure to meet y'all." his deep voice sounds melodious. I could even imagine his Alpha intensely staring at me. It's giving me sweet chills but I need to act cool or he will sweep me off my feet.

"Okay, Lucius you can sit behind Alison so we can start the class." Our teacher instructed.

But I was nervous, why is the seat behind me empty. The chair being dragged slowly to create that infuriating sound was making my heartbeat jump like crazy. I'm afraid I will die of a heart attack before I can exact my vengeance.

"I'm sorry the chair must be heavy it's making that noise." Lucius apologized making everyone laugh.

I won't even dare look behind me as I gulped really hard. The chair is squealing because he's gripping it tightly as he dragged it away.

"It's alright Lucius you can sit down now." Our teacher smiled at him. Even the teacher is mesmerized.

"Alison huh." I heard him whisper. My wolf sense caught the sound that I started sweating like rain pouring down on me. I wiped it with my handkerchief as I tried to focus on our teacher.

This will be another problem instead of another strategy for my revenge. I silently weep in my head thinking of other possibilities to escape this fearsome Alpha.
