I don’t know for how long exactly I held the man’s gaze. Only that at some point, I couldn’t control the wave of disgust hitting me anymore.

I shoved him back in Zayn’s direction. “I want him out of my pack. Now.”

“You’ve got it, Alpha.” Zayn nodded, eyes turning to Rodriguez.

It was funny how the look of disgust in my beta’s eyes could completely mirror the way I felt. Zayn grabbed him by the arm and began pulling him away.

“Treating me this way, are we?” Rodriguez spat.

Gone was the previous look of pride in his eyes. Now there was nothing short of contempt laced behind those orbs. That, and something else I couldn’t quite read.
