last update Last Updated: 2025-05-24 19:49:04

“Oh, it’s so good to be back…” Evan kept saying it over and over again all the way to the conference room, looking around with a mix of relief and wonder, like a child on Christmas morning “I can’t believe this whole situation has actually come this far. Just a few months ago, everything seemed so perfect. My son was going to marry the love of his life, our companies were in perfect harmony, there was no conflict between our families… It’s a shame that so many misunderstandings and intrigues have ruined all of this…” he grumbled, as if no one there knew who he was directing those words at “But I’m glad the time has finally come for us to clear all this up and get things back to where they belong…”

“You should save your breath for your presentation, Carnby.” Laura advised him “Since you seem so sure you’ll convince us all.”

“I’m just relieved to be able to show my side of the story, Mrs, Poulin, after all the injustice my family and I have suffered over the past few months.” Evan tried

  • Revenge with my Fiancé's Billionaire Brother   Chaptr 156 - Isaac

Isaac was back in the hospital. He knew this the instant he was able to master his senses enough to smell that astringent smell and the sound of dozens of voices chattering. Not only that, but his entire body felt like it was in pain, from his head to his chest, as if he had been torn in half and sewn back together. That damn pain, however, would have to wait. He needed to find Millicent. She was somewhere out there, at the mercy of Ugo Greco, Fiona and Austin. He had promised he would protect her, that he would be the one to suffer if anything happened… But he hadn’t been strong enough. He needed to get up. He needed to find her and bring her back to her family. He couldn't allow any of those bastards to hurt her. If anyone had to die or suffer, it was him and only him. Not Millicent. Not his angel…“Isaac, stay calm.” A female voice he didn’t recognize said, but he didn’t give up on trying to move, even though his body was as heavy as a sack of rocks “Your stitches will open if you

“What the fuck…!” Jasmine growled softly and nothing gave Millicent more hope than the panic in her voice. “Stay there, you fucking bitch! And you better keep your mouth shut!” she threatened, her eyes darting around the empty room as if searching for something to gag her with “Fuck! Don’t think this is over! This is probably just my grandfather’s men coming to see how our plan worked…!”The screams growing louder outside, however, said the exact opposite. It was such a loud mess that Millie couldn't recognize a single voice, but clearly what was happening wasn't peaceful. And Jasmine clearly realized this too, as she quickly got up, running to the door with that knife still in her hands, as if she was genuinely afraid of who she would find outside.“Grandma!” Jasmine screamed, her voice so loud that Millicent could still hear her perfectly even though she was moving away “What the fuck…! What’s going on…?”“Shut up…!” Fiona hissed, and in her voice, Millie heard an urgency and anger

“I’m so sorry, baby. This isn’t how things were supposed to be…” Austin lamented, almost as if he was truly sorry and as if all of this wasn't his fault either.“Austin…” Millicent breathed, trying to keep her voice calm “I know you realize the gravity of what you’ve done. You have a future ahead of you, you know that. If you resolve this quickly, then nothing will be taken away from you…”“If only you hadn’t been so difficult…” he sighed regretfully, as if he hadn’t heard a single word that had come out of her mouth “We could have gotten over that little mistake of mine so easily… But, I know it was his fault. He seduced you just like that bitch seduced me. But, I’m relieved that now you’ve seen his true colors. You know what he’s capable of and now things will go back to the way they should be.”“Nothing will ever be the same if you don’t fix what your mother and Fiona did, Austin.” Millicent insisted, struggling in vain against the handcuffs binding her arms “Listen, I know you wan

  • Revenge with my Fiancé's Billionaire Brother   Chapter 154 - Millicent

Millicent woke up feeling like her head was about to explode. There was a terrible pain in her temple, almost as if someone invisible was banging a rock against her skull over and over, causing her vision to go a little blurry and her ears to ring. However, that feeling of disorientation didn't last more than a second. That was all it took for her to realize there was duct tape holding her lips together and her arms were pinned behind her back, feeling numb probably from having been in that position for quite a long time. The room she was in was nothing more than four concrete walls with only a tiny window practically glued to the ceiling, from where the little sunlight came in that allowed her to look around. She was sitting on a worn mattress and there was a chain tied to her ankle, securing her to the wall, short enough that she wouldn't even be able to stand up completely if she tried.Swallowing hard behind the tape covering her mouth, Millicent tried to ignore the pain and think

“So… My baby is engaged again. Who would have thought I would have this joy twice in less than a year, right?”“Mom!” Millicent blushed, her giggle barely audible over the noise of the coffee shop around them “I’m sorry… I know how this sounds, but trust me, it’s not as hasty as it sounds. Isaac and I are starting. We’re not going to run off to Vegas and come back with a marriage license next weekend. We want to finally be able to enjoy what we have, like a normal couple, without more lies, without more police involvement and without more Austin or Jasmine making our lives hell. We want to do things like most people do: live together for a while, spend more time together, maybe actually have an engagement party in a few years…”“It’s okay, honey. I’m not your father. This isn’t an interrogation. Besides, I know the daughter I raised.” Alice smiled and Millicent was relieved to find no trace of concern or judgment in her expression “God knows you’re much more mature and have your life

  • Revenge with my Fiancé's Billionaire Brother   Chapter 151 - Millicent

It was a really bittersweet feeling for Millicent to be back at Isaac’s apartment after having left with her heart broken the last time. Gosh, had they really only been separated for weeks? Had it really been less than a year since they’d reunited? Sometimes, she felt like she’d lived decades in the space of just a few months.“Is something bothering you?” Isaac murmured in her ear the moment Millicent took the first step into his apartment, his arms wrapping around her waist and pressing her body against his.“This is our first night alone in forever. I don’t think anything could upset me right now.” She chuckled softly, looking around the perfectly clean apartment “But I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting all this silence. Did Dominic and Vincent decide to take the night off to give us some privacy?”“Dominic doesn’t actually live here anymore since your friend started allowing him back into her apartment, apparently.”“I know,” Millicent murmured in a whisper, even though she knew t
