Jian Jianan observed the entire interaction between Qi Xiaorou and Xiao Yihan in silence. The smirk at the corner of her mouth deepened.

Dinner was served shortly after.

Looking at the table filled with crabs and prawns, Qi Xiaorou’s face turned green. How could she peel lobster shells or crack open crab in such an elegant dress!

The restaurant served peeled shrimps and crabs, why did Jian Jianan order food that was not deshelled? She did it on purpose!

“Yihan, my hands still hurt. Can you help me peel the prawns?”

Qi Xiaorou almost exploded in anger hearing the doll-like voice that Jian Jianan made. No wonder Jian Jianan invited her out to dinner. She planned to torture her!

Nevertheless, her relationship with Brother Xiao was kept a secret. Jian Jianan should not be able to notice. Could it be that Jian Jianan was doing it unintentionally?

Xiao Yihan was stunned for a moment. Jian Jianan used to deshell prawns and crabs back in the day, all he had to do was to sit back and relax. She would never let him dirty his hands, no matter how ill she was. Jian Jianan would always do it personally for him. What happened today? Jian Jianan was asking him to peel prawns for her!

Even though her tone was gentle and mellow, the arrogant expression on her face made it seem as if she was ordering him to peel the shellfish. This made Xiao Yihan feel extremely uncomfortable.

However, he could not afford to fight with Jian Jianan over such a trivial matter. He smiled affectionately and said, “Sure, it’s my honor and duty to serve my girlfriend.”

Jian Jianan laughed. She was enjoying the look on Qi Xiaorou’s face as she forcibly suppressed her jealousy, trying not to combust in anger.

Gu Mocheng’s mood was as gloomy as cumulonimbus clouds.

Someone spread the news that Jian Jianan went looking for him in the military camp. It reached his family, and they were blasting him with calls, urging him to return home!

It was Jian Jianan who broke off the engagement. Why did he have to deal with the aftermath?

When he thought of Jian Jianan, Gu Mocheng’s mind was instantly filled with the unexpected kiss and her delicately soft lips.

Those thoughts made him feel worse!

“Yo, who pissed off our Third Master?”

Gu Mocheng shot an icy glare to his childhood friend beside him and said, “Mind your own business!”

“So cranky! Let me guess, I heard that Jian Jianan looked for you at the military camp today. Something must have happened between you two? You wouldn’t be acting like this otherwise. Then again, didn’t she attempt suicide so that she could break off her engagement to you? Why did she change her mind?”

Shen Linfeng and Gu Mocheng had been friends since they were kids. Both of them grew up together, went to the same nursery, primary school, right up until high school. However, after graduating from high school, Gu Mocheng got into a private military academy while Shen Linfeng continued his studies in university before inheriting the Shen Group Entertainment.

Shen Linfeng was surprised to see Gu Mocheng’s darkened expression. He asked, “Did you lose all control and sleep with Jian Jianan? It does make sense though if you seized your chance when you saw a woman, since you’re always surrounded by groups of guys. However, that’ll complicate things. It’d be tough explaining that to Uncle and Aunty Yu!”

“... You’re overthinking!”

“Overthinking? Huh, you didn’t sleep with Jian Jianan? Sh*t… this is even worse. Are you playing for the other team now after spending so much time with those muscly guys? No, this is a disease. You’ll have to seek a cure! I overheard that your camp would be having a body checkup in a few days. You’ll have to have a thorough inspection then…”

‘Squeal…’

A car halted suddenly on the road. Shen Linfeng did not anticipate the sudden halt and jerked forward, his head almost colliding with the windshield.

Shen Linfeng was still in shock, coming so close to ramming the car ahead. He yelled, “What’s wrong with you!”

“What is that place?”

Shen Linfeng followed the direction where Gu Mocheng’s finger pointed to. He mumbled puzzledly, “You don’t know the most famous seafood restaurant in Tiandu? What about it?”

Gu Mocheng exited the car, replying, “I’m hungry!”

“...” Shen Linfeng was left speechless.

‘Doesn’t Third Master Gu hate seafood?’ he thought to himself.
