"How is she, Dr. Warner?" I asked the doctor as I closed the door behind me. A wave of emotions filled me. Effie and Claire are beside her, worried about their friend lying in bed.

It's good. I asked Effie to call Grandpa's doctor and have him fly here to check on Jordan. It was better for us to have someone we knew who could keep this a secret.

"She's okay. I've sedated her," he says, closing his medical bag. "I'm not going to ask what happened, but Thea, is this her first episode?"

"No," I sigh. "But she hasn't had those in years. The last time was when she was in college. She dated this guy who went too far, and she panicked."

"I see," Dr. Warner rubs his chin. "Well, I could look into her records, but I need permission from her previous doctors and family."

"Doc, don't say anything to her family," I tell him, worried. "Her mother passed away when she was young. Her dad and brothers are very protective of her. They would not be happy knowing that Jordan's episodes had returned. I mean, they will fly here and take her back home."

Jordan's family has seen her in one of her episodes, and they tend to overwhelm her by keeping her inside the house for protection. She threw a fit at being held prisoner rather than treated like their sister. I get that they were afraid that something like that would happen again, something that would freak her out when a guy tried to kiss her.

Jo has been doing an excellent job over the years and has been having dates with guys without going to first base, but now that my brother has triggered her trauma, I'm worried she will not be the same Jo, I know.

Well, we will have to wait and see once she wakes up.

I glanced up at Claire and Effie and nodded to the door. The three of us left the room where everyone else was waiting for the results.

"Well?" Lily approached.

"Dr. Warner gave her something to calm down," Effie replies, walking towards Logan for comfort.

"We have to wait until morning," Claire adds, walking off with a long face. Don embraced her and whispered something in her ear, calming her down.

"Everyone, go back to their rooms," I sighed, tired. Nobody wanted to argue, so they walked out of the room. Ares was the quietest and the last to leave. I glanced at Rex. "Jo will stay in our bed for the night. Is that okay?"

Rex nodded, slipped his arm around my waist, and kissed my head. "No worries, we have the couch bed."

"Thank you, baby."

I head to the room to get my clothes for the night as Rex sets up the couch bed. As I grabbed my shirt and shorts, I turned and hit my foot on the bottom of the bed.

"Jo, don't scare me like that," I gasped and felt my heart beating hard.

Jordan was up and silent, sitting on the bed like an emotionless zombie.

"Jo, you okay?"

I thought she was sedated, but I guess it wasn't strong enough to put her to sleep throughout the night.

"Jo?" I called out when she didn't respond.

Something is wrong.

I went around the bed next to her and waved my hand in front of her face. "Jo? Hello?"

Is she awake?

Her eyes are open, and I see her staring at the open air. I put my clothes down and sat in front of her. I placed my hands on her shoulders and shook her.

"Jo, hey, are you okay?" I kept shaking her until she blinked and then turned her eyes on me. "Hey, you okay?" I cooed.

"Where's my mommy?" she asked in a tiny girl's voice.

I furrow my brows at her question. "Jo, you don't remember? Your mom has been dead a long time ago."

"No, Mom told me she will be taking me to ballet lessons this weekend," she claims.

"What?" I'm confused about all of this and what she is saying. "Jo, you stopped taking ballet lessons when you were five. You hated it after two months and- shit!" I covered my mouth and gasped.

"You said a bad word!" Jo screeched and jumped on the bed. "I'm telling my mommy! I don't know who you are, but I want my mommy! Mommy!"

I grabbed her and covered her mouth, preventing her from screaming. I pinned her down on the bed. I wrapped her arms behind her back and sat on her legs. Jo was squirming and fighting to break free.

Damn, she is strong.

Jo and I would sometimes wrestle like the women wrestlers on TV. We used to watch WWE as kids. I would pretend to be Chyna, and she would pretend to be Victoria.

I need help.

"Rex!" I cried out. "Can you come in here now!"

Within seconds, Rex entered the room, bewildered. "Why are you yelling? Huh, babe, what is going on?"

"Rex, I need you to get that syringe inside the dresser," I grunted and held Jo tight within my grasp.

Rex didn't question and reached for the syringe inside the drawer and handed it to me. "Why are you holding Jo? What the hell is going on?"

I didn't answer Rex, but fought Jo. She took a bite from me when she removed her head from my hand. "Bitch!" I hissed and stabbed the needle at Jo's neck.

Jo suddenly starts to grow weak and tired, and she falls back with her eyes closed. I huffed and puffed, inhaling air before I released her and placed her back on the bed.

I exhaled sharply. "Man, she's tough."

"Thea, what is going on?"

I turned to Rex and pushed him to the bathroom. "I was about to get ready, and Jo looks like Dracula."

"Okay...?"

"She was spacing out, then when she finally snapped out of it, she asked for her mom."

"But didn't her mom die long ago when Jo was like six?" Rex states.

I nod my head. "Yeah, it was obscured when she mentioned going to ballet lessons, which she stopped and hated after two months, but then it hit me. Jo thinks she is five years old."

"How is that even possible? You must hit your head or something to return to the past."

"I guess Ares kissing her had triggered her childhood before the abduction," I look over my shoulder to see Jo sleeping peacefully. Dr. Warner gave me another sedative just in case Jo had her episodes again. But this seems different. "I will have to contact Warner tomorrow, and probably he will give us some answers as to why Jo is five again."

Terry, Ten Ten, and I all walked back to the group, eager to be back with the party."Hey, Thea," Effie rose, then glanced at the woman beside me. "Where have you been?""Terry and I talked with the Chief, and there is news about Jo.""Really? Is she alive?"I nodded. "Yes."Effie takes my hand and lets out a sigh, then smiles. "That is good, she is safe and alive. So, when can I go get her?""Soon," I told my sister. "But first, I want you and the others to meet Ten Ten. She is the Chief's granddaughter. She was the one who informed Terry and me about Jo.""Hello," Ten Ten was greeted with a warm welcome.Effie glanced at her and then at me before moving her eyes back to her. I sense she knows what I'm thinking. We are sisters, after all. It's like sharing the same brain. Effie blinks a few times and then smiles before introducing herself. "Hi, nice to meet you. I'm Effie, Thea's sister. I didn't know the Chief had a granddaughter.""I just returned today with my men," Ten Ten stated

The Nawula natives were hospitable and welcoming. They gave us clean clothes and food to fill our bellies that we weren't concerned with some that we had never eaten before. The roasted bugs aren't my delicacy, but once I pop one in my mouth and crush it in between my teeth, I've tasted the flavor, and it wasn't that bad. Not to bugsy flavor where you can taste the organs, but a bit salty. We had spoken with the Chief of this village, and to my surprise, he spoke fluent English.Chief Kapono, the current Chief, was a righteous man and apologized for imprisoning us, saying he had mistaken us for one of the Black Armor men.He explained in detail that a man came to their villages and offered to seek their jade. Chief Kapono told us that the man was a researcher who wanted to study the Nawula's precious jade. The Nawulas put their trust in this man and led him to their sacred temple, where the jade was found and worshiped. But as it turned out, the man was cunning and manipulative by cha

"Are we there yet?" Seth groans and asks for the hundredth time.We decided to separate into a scouting group and a base group.Rex had suggested not to bring the whole group into the jungle if we don't go all missing. If we had communicated, it would have been easier to talk to each other. But for now, four scouts are in the jungle, and the rest stay at camp."Bro, for the last time, we are just scouting the island," I can tell by the tone of Liam's voice. He's annoyed."But we've been walking for hours.""We just left twenty minutes ago," I told him. "We aren't even that far from the beach.""Yeah, and my feet hurt already," Seth argues."You're just being a wuss." Liam snorts."I'm not." Trying to defend himself. Seth groans. "It's just too quiet here. What are we looking for anyway?" There is nothing here on this lonely island except the plants, the mosquitoes, and the animals."Rex broke a large banana leaf that was in the way of our path. "We don't know much about this island, S

The following day is just like every other morning.I woke up before the others and stepped out of my tent, letting the sun's rays hit my face. If only I had my sunglasses, I wouldn't get blinded. Once my eyes adjust, I scan the beach. I see four tents made out of banana leaves and sticks. The boys did a great job building five tents on the beach. It's as if we set up a small village. But we won't stay here long. Once Don and Claire know we have not returned, they will get Grandpa for help.I stretched to ease my aching body. I sway my hips and bend my back to give it a crack.Sleeping on banana leaves over sand isn't exceptionally comfortable. I used Rex's arm as a pillow, which probably made him sore.I never knew sleeping on the ground could be this uncomfortable. I think Rex has no issue since he experienced it once. I wonder about the others. Logan, Liam, and Seth share Rex's experience. Effie and Lily, I'm most concerned about this since this is their first time. Terry probably

We arrived at the island as the yacht hit the beach's edge.We all went down one by one, just scanning around, unaware of what to do on an uncharted island."Shit!" Terry cried as her phone was up in the air, trying to catch a signal. "Damn, signal.""What happened, Terry?" Seth asked."I was still on the phone with Kendall when the signal cut off," she hits the device. "Never happened before, and I'm pretty sure Kendall's gadgets never failed me.""There is nothing we can do," Rex announced. "We need to make shelter.""Why couldn't we stay at the yacht?" Seth suggested, offering a good option since the boat will keep us out of any rainfall and let us sleep on soft beds, not on rocks and sand."What yacht?" Logan thumbed his finger at the yacht thirty feet away from the beach.Seth went down on his knees and screamed in distress. Terry went to his side and hugged her man."Man, what are we going to do?" Liam asked."It would be easier if we had those lifeboats or our boards." His twin
