Two

Once we arrived at the airport, we had a transportation van take us to the hotel. Rex and I confirmed our arrival with the receptionist and went up to the rooms. Grandpa had booked three suites; two connecting rooms and one across.

The girls and I were excited as we explored the suite. It had everything with a dining table and a kitchen. The master bedrooms had the best view of the island. My room can see the beach from up here. I can't believe I'm on one of the most beautiful islands and where Rex and the boys were born and raised.

"Hey, Thea," Effie poke her head. "Who's room are who?"

"Oh!" I ran to my backpack and pulled out a white folder full of our plans for our vacation. I set it down on the table with everyone present, "Okay, let me see. This room and Rex and I. Your room is over there. The other suite is Liam, Lily, Seth, and Terry. Don and Claire have the room across, along with Jordyn and Ares. Okay, everyone, go to your rooms and rest up because we are going to eat out later tonight."

Everyone had grabbed their luggage and went to their appointed rooms. Rex put ours in the room while I look at the list for today and tomorrow. I had this typed before the trip; it took me more than three hours of typing and making calls. It was exhausting, and I hope this vacation can compensate for the stress.

"Wait," Ares put me at a halt at the moment. "Why am I sharing a room with Jo? I don't want to share with her. I don't want to be anywhere near that traitor."

"I don't want to sleep with someone who's has been containment from different chicks," Jo snaps. "Thea, you need to take him to the vet to ensure he has all his shots."

Ares growls at Jordyn. "Fuck you."

Jordyn pulls a finger at him.

I roll my eyes.

"Ares, there is a pullout couch in our room," Claire suggested. "You can sleep there."

"Why do I have to sleep on the couch? I will wake up with an aching back while Jo here will sleep on a cloud," He begins to whine, trying to make a big deal about the sleeping arrangements.

God, he's over exaggerating.

Everyone groaned, including me. We had enough of the disrupting scene between him and Jordyn.

"Why are you complaining?" Jo asked agitatedly. Halfway through the plane ride, these two haven't stopped arguing.

From all I know from Lily - Ares and Jordyn were fighting about the man Jo is currently dating. Ares didn't like the guy because it was none other than his rival, Duke "The Hulk" Spencer.

According to Ares, he and this Duke guy always head in the ring. It's always severe with them two to the point their status as fighters are always tied. Both are solid fighters but stubborn men. I know Ares quit fighting because I told him to, but whenever the news about Duke winning pisses him off.

I had asked Jordyn how he met a guy like Duke. She explained with a sparkle in her eyes and rosy cheeks. I've seen that look, and that is the look of love. Jordyn told me she met Duke at a gym one day which was funny because she had never gone to the gym. Don't get me wrong, she has a great figure and never gains a pound.

Lucky bitch.

But she went because she wanted to learn kickboxing. Jordyn knew some fighting from her brothers to protect herself from boys. If her brothers interfere and don't like the guy she dates, they will kill him.

Having four older brothers has got to be the most stressful. Glad I'm the eldest, and Ares can't do anything who I date because I can handle the guy myself if he steps over the line.

She wanted to learn kickboxing, and guess who's teaching her? Jordyn told me that Duke is teaching a class to get away from fame and be normal for once. She said it was full of girls because the teacher is a famous MMA fighter.

She didn't explain how Duke asked Jordyn out of all the girls. She stated she was exceptional and a quick learner and told him she was friends with Ares. If I put it in conclusion, this Duke guy is only railing up my brother's skin because he no longer fights.

I know Ares is still mad at me for taking him out of the career he wanted to pursue, but he is the heir to take over Grandpa's company before his retirement. He has to learn to be mature and stop fighting. I know I may be overbearing and such a bitch, but I don't want my brother to get hurt. MMA is an extreme sport; you can get severely injured, leading to paralyzation or, worst...death.

Every time he comes home with a broken nose and black eye, he tells me it's a minor accident at work, his old job with the Peters. I didn't want to believe him but let it slide since he has that temper. That's when Logan and his brothers were fanboying him and calling him "Titan" and worshipping him like a God.

I lost my parents during an accident, and they left me; I don't want my brother and sister to leave me.

I want to tell Jordyn not to see Duke anymore because of Ares, but this is the first time I have seen her smile. I know she had a massive crush on Ares since we were kids, but suddenly took an interest in another guy changed, and it's none other than a Ares' rival. They've been arguing halfway through the plane ride we have to apologize to the stewardess.

It was embarrassing and stupid. I had never seen Ares so angry at Jo. Usually, he would joke about the guys she had dated; too skinny, acne all over, almost bald, too short, too fat - anything to piss her off. But knowing Jordyn was dating someone Ares hated made their relationship sour. Jo puts up with him, whoever he dates, because they don't last, but this time Ares is gone too far. He wants her to break up, and Jordyn defends herself so that she is finally found the perfect guy who isn't a prick and idiot like Ares and sticks with bimbos.

Yes, everyone in first class heard what Jordyn said about Ares, and I watched my brother's expression as if something valuable broke and could never be fixed or when his pet hamster died. It's the same look when he found out about our parents. His face went pale.

At the same time, Ares deserves to hear those words from Jordyn but felt terrible for my brother because he was picked on. During his first year of middle school, he was picked on for being a dork, and Jordyn saved him from being his bodyguard.

Yes, my brother was a dork, skinny, and wearing glasses. He was an easy target.

Though Jordyn saved him, Ares did not appreciate it and had a goal to defend himself. One day, he approached the bullies and fought back. Since then, Ares changed his structure and behavior. He took boxing, judo, wrestling, and high school, and he hit the gym to build more muscle and joined the football team. But because of his new renounced self, he became a jerk and a prick and got into fights for stealing someone else's girl. Because I was his guardian, I would get called from the principal's office at work.

My life as a guardian was exhausting because of him.

"Just be a gentleman and let Jo get the room," I tell him; I don't want to tell bitchy Ares right now because of the plane ride here. I want to take a nap.

"This is so unfair, Thea."

"Ares, please," rubbing my face, then glared at him. "I'm tired and didn't get enough sleep on the plane because I was making sure our trip had everything ready and had to move you away from Jo before she kills you."

Ares was about to open his mouth when Rex threw his duffle bag at him. "Listen to your sister and take the couch. Thea is tired because you and Jordyn wouldn't stop arguing and causing a scene. Just shut up and take the couch." he says in his low voice, making my body quiver. It was sexy and deep yet slightly threatening, almost as if he was tired. Ares may be a retired fighter, but compared body shape, and Rex can take him down. But it's not about the size, and it's about being smart. And I don't want any fights during this trip.

God, I love a man in charge. Makes him hot.

My brother looked at me, rolled his eyes, and groaned. "Fine," taking his bag and suitcase and heading out with heavy feet.

"That went well. I thought he would throw another fit. Effie was getting worried that Ares and Jordyn will never make up," Logan chuckled, slumping a bag over his shoulder and the other held.

"That damn brother of mine, so hardheaded," I hiss and pinch the bridge of my nose, then lookup. "Where's Effie?" I ask him and yawn.

"In the room, napping." He says. "Everyone here is tired from the six-hour flight."

I looked around and noticed the family room was empty. "Wow, I didn't notice." I chuckle and brush my hair back.

"You are tired. Get some sleep."

I nodded. "Yeah, I will do that. If only I could see Jacob, but the hour is a big difference." I would have to wait before midnight here in Hawaii to facetime my son in London. If I call right now, which is five in the afternoon, it will be four in the morning, too early for my baby to wake up.

Jacob is very well behaved when he sleeps. Only when he is hungry or needs a change of diapers in the middle of the night does it give his dad and me a peaceful sleep.

"Yeah, Effie is sad she couldn't facetime the kids," then walks off to his room, closing the door behind him.

I never have a one and one chat with Logan. He's usually a quiet type of guy, different from his twin and older brothers, but he seems to be more understanding. He doesn't like social gatherings as much as his brothers and tends to keep himself in the corner. I remembered when we went to a nightclub in L.A. where teens age eighteen were allowed to enter but not allowed to drink. While we were having a fun time drinking and dancing, he and Effie were seated in the corner and glaring at every guy eyeing his pregnant girlfriend because she had that glow. That was when Effie was still pregnant with the twins, and I know how irresponsible it was to let my baby sister go out clubbing when she should stay in bed; that goes for Claire too, but I felt terrible for them.

Another reason for her glow is her scars becoming unnoticeable. Lena, her boss, had suggested doing MicroArt. Effie explains it was a safe procedure but costly. It's camouflaging the scars that will blend your skin color to match the tone. Effie said it would take four sessions for four weeks, but in her case, I think it will take more. She said some parts of her body are swollen from her first session a week before the trip, but they will disappear in a few days. She was worried about wearing a bathing suit, and everyone would see the redness as if mosquitos had poked her, but she had nothing to worry about.

Another yawn escapes my mouth. I grab my folder and return to my room. The TV sound was turned on, and Rex was lying on the bed snoring. It wasn't a loud and suffocating snore, and it was a manly snore. I chuckle and put back my folder inside my backpack. I used the restroom to relieve myself before going to bed.

I slip under the blanket and cuddle next to Rex, wrap my arm around his waist, and lay my head against his chest. He stirs and pulls me close as his breath breeze through my skin, caressing.

I chuckle softly and reach to trace his face. This man I've known for a while now will be my husband.

I dreamt of having a wedding to a man I've chosen to be my husband and my life, and have children to complete my dream. I close my eyes, picturing the image in my head of Rex and our son, Jacob, and maybe a few more children playing on the front lawn as I watch with a smile. Now that I'm in the arms of a man I love, the dream will soon become a reality once I say "I do."

Another yawn escape as my conscious is telling me that I need sleep. I pull myself closer, and after a few minutes, I drift off to sleep as I dreamt of the beautiful dream.
