Memory of the Past
As Mom's words resonated in my consciousness, I was completely awake."How do you know he's gone missing?" I pleaded. "Are you sure he's not at the safe house?"
Mom shook her head in disbelief. "We've looked in every direction. We would have located him by now if he was here."h
Something occurred to me in my sleep-deprived mind. Cedric had mentioned something during his altercation with Mom.
"He want to patrol tonight," I stated. “Badly. He stated that he believed the full moon was the optimal time to go vampire hunting. You do not believe..." I paused, unable to complete the phrase.
Mom paled significantly, the blood draining from her cheeks as awareness set in. “No...” She abruptly sprang up, her hands running over her hair. "What on earth was he thinking?" Isn't he aware..." She cast a downward gaze at me. "We must pursue him."
