The black sedan's taillights disappeared into the swirling Bangkok haze, leaving Chalida stranded. She stared up at the L'Aura building, a monumental, darkened silhouette against the bruised purple of the twilight sky. The boutique’s display windows, usually ablaze with expensive light, were now lifeless, reflecting only her furious, disbelieving face. She cursed under her breath, fumbling for her phone. The gala. Canceled. Her career. Drowning.

Then, her eyes darted to the penthouse suite, a vast expanse of glass crowning the building. A single, faint light flickered within. Pim. The thought hit her with the force of a physical blow. Pim had been talking about buying this building. It was insane. Impossible. Yet, a cold dread began to coil in Chalida’s gut.

"No way," Chalida muttered, her voice trembling. "No damn way."

She stormed back to the building’s entrance, shoving past the surprised security guard. "Which floor is the penthouse?" she demanded, her voice sharp with inherited authority. "I need to go up. Immediately."

The concierge, a young man still startled by the sudden appearance of a designer-clad woman, stammered, "Ma'am, the penthouse is—"

"I don't care," Chalida snapped, cutting him off. "I know the owner. Let me up, or I’ll have your job and this whole building shut down by morning." She brandished her phone, a meaningless threat that had always worked before.

It worked again. The concierge, looking terrified, quickly unlocked the private elevator, his eyes wide with fear. "Top floor, ma'am."

Chalida stepped inside, her breath coming in ragged gasps. The elevator ascended with silent, luxurious speed. Each meter it climbed, her panic warred with a simmering, righteous rage. This was Pim. This was Pim trying to ruin her, trying to climb over her, just like always. But this time, Pim had gone too far.

The doors slid open, revealing a vast, empty expanse of polished concrete and floor-to-ceiling windows. The city lights exploded around her, a breathtaking, almost overwhelming display.

"Pim?" Chalida’s voice echoed in the cavernous space, brittle and uncertain. "Are you here?"

From the deepest shadows of the room, a figure emerged, silhouetted against the glittering cityscape. Pim, still in her worn clothes, stood by the glass, her back to Chalida. She turned slowly, her expression unreadable in the dim light.

"Took you long enough," Pim said, her voice soft, but carrying an edge Chalida had never heard before. "I was starting to think you'd lost your touch."

Chalida scoffed, forcing a laugh. "Lost my touch? Pim, what are you doing here? And what's this ridiculous lie about buying the building? Are you having a psychotic break?"

Pim took a step forward, the light catching the faint bruise on her cheek. "No break. Just a change of ownership. Funny, isn't it? The place where you planned to dazzle the city is now mine."

"Yours?" Chalida shrieked, her control snapping. "You're a street rat! You live in a hovel! You think I don't know your pathetic little bank balance? You couldn't afford a single brick in this building!"

Pim tilted her head, a small, knowing smile playing on her lips. "Is that what you think? That my worth is tied to what you perceive?"

"Your worth is nothing!" Chalida advanced, her designer heels clicking sharply on the concrete. "You're nothing without me! You're a shadow, a pathetic little girl who always took the blame, always cleaned up my messes! And now you think you can just… buy my future? You think you can just sit here, in my building, and pretend you're someone?"

"It’s not your building anymore," Pim countered, her voice dropping, each word a deliberate, sharp dart. "It's mine. Every single square inch. From the foundation to the rooftop where we're standing." She gestured around the vast, empty penthouse. "Pretty nice, isn't it? For a 'street rat'?"

Chalida lunged forward, a flash of pure, unadulterated fury in her eyes. "You bitch! You think this is funny? You think you can just take everything I worked for?" Her hand shot out, aiming for Pim’s face.

But Pim was faster. She caught Chalida’s wrist in a grip of surprising strength, twisting it just enough to make Chalida gasp, a sharp cry of pain tearing from her throat.

"Don't," Pim warned, her eyes colder than the winter river that had once claimed her. "Don't you ever lay a hand on me again."

"Let go of me, you freak!" Chalida struggled, trying to pull away, but Pim held firm, her fingers like steel bands around Chalida’s wrist. "You're hurting me! I'll call the police! I'll tell them you assaulted me!"

"Go ahead," Pim said, a low, dangerous laugh escaping her lips. "I've already handled the police today, remember? And I have lawyers who actually answer their calls."

With a sudden, fluid movement, Pim spun Chalida around, shoving her back against the floor-to-ceiling glass panel that overlooked the glittering city. Chalida gasped, her hands flying out to brace herself against the cold glass. Her breath fogged the surface as Pim pressed closer, her body caging Chalida against the transparent wall.

Chalida could feel the pounding of Pim's heart against her own, the heat of Pim's breath on her neck. The sheer physical dominance was suffocating. Pim was no longer the small, subservient sister. She was a presence, a force.

"What are you doing?" Chalida whispered, her voice cracking, fear finally overriding her rage. "Pim, let me go!"

"Oh, I just want to have a little chat," Pim murmured, her lips brushing Chalida's ear. "Face to face. Or rather, face to glass." She pressed a little harder, and Chalida flinched, the city lights swimming dizzyingly below her.

Pim leaned back just enough to look Chalida in the eye, her gaze intense, almost hypnotic. "You know, this penthouse has a unique feature. Automatic locks. Once they're engaged, nobody gets in, nobody gets out. Not until I decide."

Chalida’s eyes darted around the empty room, then back to Pim's face, wide with sudden, stark terror. "You wouldn't."

"Wouldn't I?" Pim asked, a sliver of genuine amusement in her voice. "You seem to forget, Chalida. I've been to places you can't even imagine. And I've come back... different."

"What do you want?" Chalida stammered, twisting her wrist, but Pim’s grip remained unyielding. "Money? Is that it? You want more money? I’ll give you whatever you want! Just... let me go."

"Money is a start," Pim agreed, her eyes glittering. "But it's not everything. It's about respect, Chalida. Something you never had for me."

"Respect? You want respect?" Chalida tried to laugh, but it came out as a broken sob. "You're holding me against a window! This is psychotic!"

"This is leverage," Pim corrected, her face inches from Chalida’s. "This is me showing you exactly who’s in charge now. You used to use Mom, your career, your connections to control me. To make me take the fall. To turn me into a ghost."

"That's not fair!" Chalida protested, tears beginning to stream down her face. "I loved you! I did it for the family!"

"Loved me?" Pim snorted softly, a sound devoid of humor. "You left me to rot in prison while you married a billionaire. You forgot I even existed." Pim’s grip tightened, her fingers digging into Chalida’s soft flesh. "Don't pretend, Chalida. Not now."

Chalida whimpered, her face contorting with fear and a dawning comprehension of her utter helplessness. "You're not the same. What happened to you?"

"I died," Pim whispered, her voice chillingly devoid of emotion. "And I came back to collect what's mine." She leaned in again, her lips almost touching Chalida’s ear. "This building is just the beginning. I'm taking everything you hold dear. Starting with your reputation. Your mother's standing."

"My mother? What about Mom?" Chalida cried, genuine panic in her voice now. "Don't you dare touch Mom!"

"Oh, but I will," Pim said, her breath warm against Chalida's ear. "Because it's not just about you, is it? It's about all the little secrets. Like how your beloved Minister mother, the paragon of virtue, once embezzled funds from the National Arts Council to pay off gambling debts for her favorite lover, the one before your father."

Chalida froze, every muscle in her body tensing. Her breath hitched. Her eyes, wide and horrified, stared not at Pim, but at some distant memory. "No," she whispered, the single word shattered. "You... you couldn't know that. Nobody knows that. It was buried, years ago."

Pim pulled back, her eyes gleaming with cold triumph. "Oh, Chalida, I know a lot of things. Things only someone who was there would know. Someone who saw the ledgers. Someone who cleaned up the mess."

She released Chalida's wrist, letting her sister slide down the glass, a trembling, broken heap. Chalida stared up at her, her face pale, slick with tears, a horrifying realization dawning in her eyes. The Pim she knew was gone. In her place stood something far more terrifying.

"So," Pim said, stepping back, a ghost of a smile touching her lips. "Shall we talk about the gala's unexpected cancellation? Or perhaps, about your mother's next election campaign?"

Chalida could only stare, breathless, her mouth working but no sound coming out. The city lights outside blurred into a kaleidoscope of fear. Pim had changed. And she wasn't just coming for her. She was coming for everyone.

The black stylus had slid from Chalida’s trembling fingers, her name etched onto the sleek tablet screen a binding testament to her new reality. The air in the Oasis Lounge had thickened with the weight of her decision, a silent vow hanging between the sisters. Pim had watched her, a ghost of a smile playing on her lips, a promise of both peril and power in her gaze.As Chalida stared at her, a single tear traced a path down her cheek. It was a tear of shame and terror, but also, disturbingly, of a dawning, terrifying anticipation for what was to come. The game had just begun, and she was no longer an opponent, but a player on Pim’s board. And Pim, she realized, was only just starting to play. The first slivers of dawn were just painting the Bangkok skyline in hues of bruised purple and rose when the private elevator chimed. Six A.M. on the dot. Pim, already dressed in tailored silk trousers and a simple, expensive blouse, stood on the penthouse terrace, a steaming cup of oolong tea i

The city lights outside blurred into a kaleidoscope of fear, but beneath it, a strange, desperate hunger flickered in her eyes."What... what are you, Pim?" she whispered, her voice barely audible, a fragile thread woven with terror and a disturbing, nascent fascination. "What have you become?"Pim watched her, the crimson gown a silent stain in the pristine fountain, a testament to her rising power. She didn't answer immediately, letting the question hang heavy in the opulent silence of the mall atrium. The air, usually thick with the scent of luxury, now carried an electric charge, a tension that drew the few lingering eyes."I’ve become exactly what you created, Chalida," Pim finally said, her voice low, a silken whisper that seemed to ripple through the air. "A reflection. Just… sharper."She turned, leaving Chalida to stare at the ruined dress, and walked out of the mall, the echoes of her sister’s broken ques

She’s trying to destroy my life because she’s nothing but a parasite! Officer, look at her! Look at that stupid, blank look on her face!"Pim lowered her hand. Her cheek was a deep, angry red, a stark contrast to her pale, calm features. "Is this the 'loyalty' you were talking about, Chalida? Hitting me in front of a police officer because I won't go to prison for your mistake?""You owe me!" Chalida lunged again, but Vee moved with a speed that blurred the air between them, his heavy leather watch glinting as he caught her wrist."
