Duncan's POV“AH! N-No… Please…! Stop!” Ashley cried out, as one of her two tormentors kept beating her with a spiked bat. The spikes made of silver as to severely burn her, as well as make her bleed.“STOP IT, YOU BASTARDS!” I shouted, trying to break free from my binds to free her, only for that to be for naught, as I could feel my wrists be burnt from the silver cuffs keeping my arms raised up to the ceiling, draining my strength.Days had passed since that twisted ‘trial’ took place. So to say, in the time that passed, life has been HELL for me and Ashley, for these past few days were spent with us trapped in the deepest part of the jailhouse in my pack, getting tortured by a variety of silver weapons, as per those ‘councilmen’ dogs’ orders. Of the two of us, Ashley had been getting the worst of it. Not in just the silver punishment during the day, but at night- as per the twisted orders of those council dogs- all prisoners were allowed to do as they wished to me and Ashley. Whil
"Ever since then, I had been really worried about him. Feared for the worst that... That he may not come back," Tears continued. "And then one day, I went to visit him, and met Ashley. Who threatened to have him be put down if I don't do as she said. At first, I did think she was lying to me, trying to pull some trick. But then I saw how close she and Duncan were and- with Alphas having the final say in the pack- if she was serious with her threat, and would truly have the power to make the final call on Henry's life..." She stopped there, her lips trembling slightly as tears started to form in her eyes. It didn't take a genius or an Alpha to know how bothered she was by the thought. How much it frightened her to consider the possibility of death for the person she loved and was destined to be with. Sure, death itself was already scary enough. For werewolves, though, for it to happen to our own mate? That was a different matter altogether.I glanced at the other wolves, noticing the
Standing around my parents’ graves were an abundance of werewolves. Why they had gathered here, I wouldn’t know. It was not as though either of them were wolves of high ranks, nor were they that well known as individuals. I did notice a familiar face amongst the group, though. She who also noticed me, Justin, and Pularis as we approached.“Hey, Suzie,” Caitlyn waved, getting everyone else’s attention as they also turned to us.“Caitlyn? What’s all this? Why is are there so many of the Bluemoon wolves here?” I asked her, trying not to be bothered by the unexpected visitors.“Well, I was here to deliver flowers to your parents, as this would be the last time I would be doing this for them. As for everyone else…”“We’re here for you, Luna,” Tears spoke up, surprising me more.“Me? What do you all want with me?” I asked, hoping that it wasn’t to resume my previous position as the pack’s Luna.“We all wanted to properly apologize to you. For everything.” My eyes widened in shock at the re
Once we’ve double checked if everything was packed- everything of Justin’s, that is- we sat in the limo, and were being driven to my parents’ grave.“I can’t wait to get to our new home!” Justin excitedly said.“You’ll have to wait just a little longer before then,” I told him. “We’re going to take a little detour before arriving at the Nightsky Pack.”A look of realization formed on Justin’s face. “Oh, that’s right. We’re going to pick up Ms. Caitlyn first, right?”I smiled softly at the question. Truth be told, I actually kind of forgot that Caitlyn was also going to come with us to our new home. With all the stress from the trial, and the relief and feeling that I was finally free from Duncan, it sort of slipped my mind that my best friend already long since decided to join me and Justin there. The others who made such decision to leave did so after the trial, where they had followed one of Pularis’s fellow councilmen to Howler’s Inn, where they were to go through the proper proced
I went out the backyard, and found Justin playing with Pularis, as Ayla had said. ‘Wrestling’, more like it, in their wolf forms.Yes, after the trial ended and we told Justin the news of the results, that ‘big, bad, Duncan’ will no longer bother either of us, my son was so happy, he was bouncing off the walls, and eventually turned into a pup. I was so happy to see him turn the way he did, knowing that his real mother had truly given birth to a healthy werepup, as opposed to me. Of course, that was not to say that I was not happy with the life I lived, but I do know well enough how hard it is to live without a wolf. I don’t want that to happen to my kids, or any of my friends’.In the middle of their wrestling, Justin managed to pounce on Pularis’s back and bit on his ear. Thankfully, he still had his puppy teeth so the bite itself was not painful, as far as I could see from where I was. He eventually slipped off the bigger wolf, though, but still had a firm hold on his ear, and was
"Justin! Justin, where are you?” I called, roaming around Pularis’s mansion for my adopted son.“Are you looking for Master Justin?” Ayla asked, doing some cleanup in the halls.“Ah, Ayla. Yes, I am. Do you know where he is? It’s almost time for us to leave, isn’t it?”She nodded at my question with a light chuckle, and gestured to the window. “He’s outside the backyard with the Alpha. The boy has been so excited about today, he couldn’t sit still at all.”I smiled at the explanation, amused by it. “Was the excitement from that or how the trial had gone?” Ayla paused for a moment, as though to consider the possibility, before chuckling again in response. “That just might be a possibility as well.”I smiled softly at the answer. “Still? It’s been days since then. While I understand his joy, isn’t it a bit much for him to be happy for this long?”Indeed, days passed since the trial. In the time that passed, things have changed in the Bluemoon Pack. Lots of things.First and foremost, w
