“Genesis. Your eyes, they just glowed right now,” Killian spoke, his hands cupping my cheeks, his hands felt gentle almost as if he was holding a flower, I wouldn’t mind being a flower. Flowers are beautiful. My mind wandered off again, and I heard the voice in my mind let out a small snicker. “What about my eyes?” “They changed…” He let go of my face, and I felt like I had been deprived of the sweetest feeling. I wanted it back. But I had to soldier on. “Don’t yours when you communicate with your wolf,” I asked tucking the small strand of hair behind my ear, his eyes following my movements intently, tensioned filled the air. ******************************************************************************************************************************************** Genesis was a loner living as a slave in a pack that killed her family; some people didn't even know she existed. She believed that her future was bleak and is doomed to forever be a slave for a pack she hates with all of her might. what happens when she meets meets her fated mate who turns out to the the Alpha King Kilian a thousand year old Lycan who has a fierce and cruel reputation and who has publicly announced to the supernatural world countless of times that he did not wish for a mate. Will he reject her? And what will happen when Genesis finds out just how powerful she really is, and who her parents really were.

Chapter 1 Chapter One
When I was ten, I had to watch my parents die. I saw their bodies torn into shreds by our rival pack. They destroyed my pack and took over their lands it had been a dark day for me, I was just a child yet I saw my mother being torn to shreds by a grey wolf before my very own eyes her blood churning screams blending with the sounds of the flames and the howls of wolves. I wasn’t the same after that.We became rogues overnight, no home no pack, we were alone. I was taken to my mother’s old pack by John the beta, He had survived the attack on us, but just barely. He had lost and eye and his mate Edith the Head pack warrior.“Come Genesis, I’ll take you home.”He took me to the Dark Moon Pack where my grandmother lived. I never saw him again after that. I never saw anyone from that pack again. It had taken me a while before I could actually talk again, the nightmares never left though, they echoed in my mind. Sometimes I could hear the screams in my head and when I closed my eyes I could s

Chapter 2 Chapter Two
I had tossed and turned for most of the day in my bed, I simply could not get him off my mind, what was it about him that made my wolf come alive. I kept replaying the moment in my head. When our eyes met I felt like a thousand bolts of lightning had coursed through me, I liked it.Who is he? And how could he shake me to my very core just by looking into my eyes? Perhaps he thought I was a small child who was stalking the new guests, eager to know what Lycans were.I must admit that it sounds more like it. I could pass as a teenage boy when my hair is tied behind my back, I had strong features, my nose was slightly crooked, a result of not listening to the Alpha when he told me not to go into the forest. I had disobeyed him, and he punished me, causing my nose to break. I instinctively lay my hand onto my nose, the memory of the day flashing before my now fully awake eyes.Deciding that I had had enough, I reached out for my pillow and decided to force myself to rest. After all three h

Chapter 3 Chapter Three
It was eight o clock and I had been staring out of my window for what seems to be an hour now, the pack house had come to life with the silent footsteps of the pack and chatter. At around seven I could hear beds creaking, running water and the pitter-patter of feet below me, by 7:30 I could hear the sounds of silver wear clicking together and the rustling of plates with light conversation. By 8:00 I heard the front door open thrice and the sound of a car driving out of the driveway and by 8:30 Mr. Snowman hadn’t made it out of the house yet. And as the old broken up clock on my wall struck 9:00 I had decided to give up all hope and get some rest. I don’t know why my heart ached, it wasn’t like he had left me at the altar and ran off with another woman he didn’t know I existed and I…Tap.The small faint sound dragged me out of my thoughts, I opened my eyes and looked around. Nothing, it was silent, had I imagined it?Tap tap tapAnd there it was again and this time I knew where it was

Chapter 4 Chapter Four
What just happened? It took me a moment for my insanely overwhelmed mind to grasp the situation before me, Andrew, a Lycan under the service of the King had just lied and to Luna the wife of the Alpha. The Alpha who owns the very land he was standing on, for me!For a girl he did not know, a girl who had just made him a sandwich in the dead of night because he had said he was hungry, yet here is the Luna of a pack. A Luna who has opened the doors to her home and welcomed him in with open arms and is the king’s host. He lied to save the anonymous girl, and I will now forever see him in a different light.“Are you sure, I think I can smell her around here," she said as she scanned the kitchen, I took a few steps back hiding behind the shadows in the pantry, praying that the darkness would hide me enough even from their sharp eye’s. Then again she does know that I am here, she’s simply making a show of things, to make me nervous, which I was a bundle of nerves really, though she never exp

Chapter 5 Chapter Five
Killian had taken his time coming to terms with what I had just said. He hardly showed any emotions, a fact that I had noticed in the brief moment we’ve been here. He was very good at covering up his intentions, hiding his thoughts through calm banter, a smirk and a chuckle here and there. He was good at not relinquishing power, not letting anyone see past his mask.He was astonishing. This is the point of no return. I could not take back what I had just said the same way I could not take back the air I had just inhaled. It was done, I had shown myself to him, stood there with the naked truth, nowhere to run, no false pretense, just the truth. My life had never been a bed of roses. I had nothing to my name, I was an odd child growing up. I have no friends. My life is tragic really, but a life is a life and no matter how much I wish upon a star I cannot change the past.Genesis, you’re getting ahead of yourself. My thoughts preyed on me, feasting on my fear. But I wouldn’t let them get

Chapter 6 Chapter Six
It was so comfortable I didn't want to get up, and the sweet smell, it was all around me. It warmed me to my very core. His smell, his smell. And just like that, I fell back into reality as if a brick had just hit my head. My eyes shot open. This wasn't my room. It was larger than mine.Grey walls, dark brown wooden cabinets, and an extremely large king-size bed with blue linen. This was definitely not my room. Instinctively, I checked under the covers and sighed in relief. I remember Killian and him carrying me into the park house. I am in the packhouse but not in my room, perhaps in his. I twirled around in my mind in a frenzy. What do I do? What do I do? Why would he bring me here? Then again, he doesn't know where my room is, so this was the only place he could take me.Dammit Genesis, why did you have to fall asleep in his arms?Deciding that this was the best time to leave, I let myself out of the room. Thank goodness Killian wasn't present at the time.I would simply have been m

Chapter 7 Chapter Seven
"Alpha," I bowed low again, acknowledging his presence; this was how it should be, me bowing to the great Lycan king, the Alpha of all Alphas."Don’t Genesis," he growled, and I felt my face grow hot. I was angry at him. He had no right to keep it a secret from me.I know you must be mad right now, but I assure you I did not have any ill intent towards you, I was simply curious."Curious, of course, he was. A man like him would certainly be curious. Did our time together mean so little to him? I had opened up myself and practically laid myself bare in front of him, what I was, my abilities, I had trusted too fast, always always too fast, always too fast."I hope this humble servant has satisfied your curiosity," I blankly stared into his eyes, trying hard not to let any emotion seep through, I needed him to know what this meant for us. As if there was even an us.It was just an act Genesis.I tried to remind myself, but he took a step forward and I took one back. It physically hurt me t

Chapter 8 Chapter Eight
I sat on the edge of my nerves getting the best of me. After Killian suddenly announced to the Luna that he was intending to mate with me, things sort of went downhill. She, naturally, Luna Sarah, had thrown a fit, followed by a lot of not-so-pleasing words directed at me. Killian, of course, did not appreciate her constant ranting and tried to assert his "dominance" by growling at her so loudly that it was as if the house quacked. Then his personal guards restrained Luna Sarah, causing the male werewolves of the Red Hallow Pack to try and "protect" her, causing the kitchen to turn into a warzone. And now I was here in the living room, in between Kilian and Andrew, who I had just found out was Kilian’s Beta, Luna. Sarah was sitting across from us on the love seat with her husband, Alpha Michael, who was nursing a large bruise on his chest. He was a bulky man with a tangled mopy mess of a beard and a drum for a stomach, but not quite as tall as Kilian. Kilian was exceptionally tall, a f

Chapter 9 Chapter Nine
To say I had made people really mad was an understatement. Luna hadn’t taken my abrupt speech too well. She was never fond of being told no, and she always got what she wanted, but not today. Luckily, alpha Michael was there to restrain her. She had lunged towards me in anger, but Alpha Michael held her down. The two Lycans who stood next to the elders were quick on their feet, rushing towards the front ready to do whatever it took so that she wouldn’t reach me.Killians' hands were now tied around me, reassuring me that everything would be okay. I melted in his touch. I still couldn’t believe that he would be mine. The rational part of me kept nagging me, telling me that this was too quick, I had barely talked to the man, yet not even twenty four hours later, he had claimed me as his and wanted me to be his mate, his Queen. The other part of me was just squealing like a little girl, beyond excited that I’d be close to Kilian and that this perfect dominant specimen of a wolf would be m

Chapter 10 Chapter Ten
It's been a long time since I've seen the sunrise, at least not in this way.up to see the bright golden rays peeking through the mountain of clouds, melting thick inches of snow below. Killian was asleep beside me. I wondered how we could even fit on my little bed, but somehow we did. He was snoring soundly beside me, so peaceful. It felt almost unrealistic. almost. After a while of just lying there with thoughts in my head, thoughts of my impending future and little snip bits of some fantasy life that was playing in the back of my eyes, Kilian stirred. He was waking up.I was greeted with his sea green eyes. He struggled to recover from the heavy fog of sleep and then his eyes met me. I think they brightened up a little bit. Of course, I could be wrong. I hoped I wasn’t.He smiled at me with that sinfully sexy smile of his.morning.Morning, "I replied."His voice was heavy with sleep; it was gruff and it made me tingle all around. I desperately wanted him. I couldn’t lie to myself an
