"What did you say?!" I flinched at Pularis’s gasp, after I had told him what happened earlier, and my real reason in attending this meeting. “Your new circumstance aside, your reason for meeting with Dingo is very different from what you claimed earlier. And I know you were telling the truth back then.”

“I know. And I’m sorry I hid my true intentions from you,” I apologized. “I was just hoping that he would be on my side.”

“Because you thought his reason for not visiting you is similar to your friend’s case? From what she has told me, she didn’t know what became of you the past four years. Much less the day you were unjustly arrested.”

I sighed as I recalled when I saw Caitlyn again back in the hospital, where I met Pularis. “She never was one for politics,” I mentally pointed out.

“Would it matter?” Pularis countered. “Last I recall, you are not just that disgraceful Alpha’s wife; you are the pack’s Luna. Such news would have gotten out, especially if the father really did treasure

  • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   The Slave Life

Days passed since my divorce with Duncan, and my new life as his slave began. And as to be expected…“You damn slut! Are you trying to hurt her more?!” … It was absolute hell, as Duncan punched me in the face and knocked me down, as well as tossed a mug of hot coffee at me. The mug broke on contact, leaving me with a few light scratches, drenched in the scalding hot beverage, in which I bit back a pained hiss for.“I only gave her what she wanted, and she said she wanted freshly brewed coffee,” I explained, holding back my rage against him.Sadly, my retort did nothing to appease him. Not that I planned on it, as he kicked me down. “You dare talk back to me?! With something as hot as that, you’d scald any dog’s taste buds right out of them!” he scolded. “Moreover, you gave her the coffee black! You should know how she takes her coffee by now, you stupid, outrageous dog!”I clenched my hands in rage at his shout, my blood boiling with each scolds and insults he dared to hit me with. Ju

  • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   Trouble With the Deranged Alpha

My eyes widened when I heard those words from Pularis. A response came from his peers? Now?!“W-What did they say?!” I questioned, shooting up to a sitting position.“Classified.”All hope I had was brought down when he gave that response, confusion filling me. “What do you mean ‘classified’?”“Exactly as I mean it. You are not a member of the Council in any way. Even if this investigation involves you somehow, you are not under any obligation to know of the progress. I had been nice enough to inform you of what we do and how progress went, but from here onwards, outsiders like you are not to know of what happens next. Especially not when said outsider is close to the person in question. I’m sorry.”I opened my mouth, trying to reason with him to let me know what was said, but I knew he was right. Even Alphas and Lunas are not to give away any classified information to others so easily. Whether they are connected to the people in question or not. Not only that, but given how I had hid

  • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   To Be Involved

I didn't know how many times I had thought Duncan wouldn't surprise me anymore with his nonsense, and I didn't know how many times I was proven wrong. That mindset of his? It went way past the level of 'crazy'. As much as I wanted to even push him off me, slap him silly, with how hard he was pressing his foot against my heart and lung, I found it difficult to breathe. My difficulty to breathe started to affect my overall condition, as I tried to push against him, only to feel something else instead. Something painful. I refused to let it show, though. Refused to give him the satisfaction of seeing me hurt, and continued to glare at him. Thankfully, he only scoffed at me in disgust, and finally moved his foot away from me, giving me yet another kick to the ribs."Hmph... Worthless," he huffed, taking his leave. "You won't keep that act up for long. I'll see to it that you pay for everything."With that, he left the attic, to my slight relief. One that turned into frustration. Towards

  • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   To Endure or Not to Endure

Days passed since my chat with Pularis and Patricia. And if I may say…“How many times must it be told until you get it in that stupid head of yours?!”Nothing has changed. No improvements, no news or updates, nothing. Just more abuse by the hands of one Duncan, who for example was currently dumping hot stew all over me in the dining room. Stew, that was made by the head chef, for lunch. Sometimes, his little entourage- aka Dylan, Ashley, and lesser times Spencer lately- would occasionally jump in whenever they can to get in on the ‘fun’, much to my annoyance and dismay. In fact, his son and soon-to-be new wife were both watching now from the dining table. Enjoying every bit of my silent suffering.“I had told you plenty of times already! Ashley can’t handle hot stuff! And yet, what the hell do you think you’re feeding her?! You’re having fun mocking her for her frail state, aren’t you? The state you put her in!” Duncan demanded.I glared at him, having it up to here with his immaturi

  • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   Punished by the Deranged Alpha

Not long after he made the promise to make me pay, Duncan had me bound- hand behind my back- and dragged me straight to the car, driving me to some place. While he didn't say exactly where to, something told me it couldn't be anywhere good."You're just getting even more ridiculous by the second!" I exclaimed. "You say this is a punishment, but for what, exactly? For saying things as they are? As if you aren't irresponsible enough!""Silence!" Duncan shouted. "I have had enough of all that nonsense coming out of that mouth!""My nonsense? Well, isn't that rich, coming from you," I retorted. My words seemed to have struck hard on him, for I could feel a sudden boost in the speed, pushing me back in my seat.A little while into the ride, as I looked out the window, I noticed a familiar scenery, and realized where we’re going. Dread filled me upon the realization.‘Don’t tell me…’ I thought. ‘Is he really going to kill me? Dump me in with my adopted parents?’The route to the cemetery… I

  • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   Left for Dead

With his threat made, Duncan left me at the cemetery and drove off. In the time since he left, I tried to free myself from the binds, biting down on the rope, and either chewing or pulling on it to loosen the knot, only to fail and give myself a toothache instead. A toothache I struggled to endure, as I continued to gnaw on the bind.'I have to get out of here... Before that bastard gets his hand on Justin!' I thought, still biting down on the rope.I knew next to nothing about Justin since I last saw him, much less how he was doing under Pularis's care. And that was if one could say Pularis had been taking care of him. Pularis... Speaking of, this whole thing was his idea, wasn't it? Staying in that mansion, obeying every word and whim of that idiotic Alpha wolf? While those were what I had already been doing, for it to be a part of whatever plan he had? Assuming if there was one to start with, of course, considering how he didn't give me any detail about what said 'plan' was. Back

  • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   Vs the Rogues

I could not believe how terrible my luck was. Bad enough I lived with an arrogant Alpha, who thinks everything revolves around the one wolf he loves, while believing my very existence is a curse that can only be quelled by constant torture, now I find myself surrounded by rogues.‘Just my luck…’ I thought, dismayed by how horrible my misfortune was, as the rogues before me all chuckled at me.“Ah, the poor, poor wolfie,” one sarcastically spoke. He who was bigger and bulkier than the rest of the rogues. “For her to be brought here by her pack’s Alpha? Tied to a grave? If that isn’t a sign of something, I don’t know what is in this pack.”How I paled when those words left that wolf’s mouth. What did he mean by that? And how did he know Duncan left me here? It wasn’t as though news were made to inform anyone of it, whether it was in or out of the pack. In fact, the only ones who know about the arrangement were those in Duncan’s house. How my eyes widened when the realization came to me.

  • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   Fighting to the Bitter End

I didn’t know how long I had been fighting. Not just against the leading rogue, but his whole pack as well. Some in their wolf form. Others in their human form. Surprisingly enough, I was still more durable than I assumed myself to be. Then again, it could just be the adrenaline pushing me to fight, for as the time passed and the scuffle continued, I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, and not in a good way. Despite that, I bit back the pain I was experiencing and continued to fight against these mutts. ‘Gosh, am I grateful for the self-defense lessons I was given,’ I thought, avoiding a rogue’s bite in their wolf form before slamming both my fists down on him. I sensed another rogue coming from behind me and turned fast enough to block an attack from the leader, my hands clasped in his.“This is not what we were told when we were asked to do this job,” he muttered, piquing my interest.“‘Told’? Told by who?” I demanded, standing my ground.“No one who concerns you. We may be r

  • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   Identity of the Drug

Duncan's POVI sat in the living room, my head down in disbelief from everything that happened in a span of a few hours just a little earlier. What have I seen? What did I witness? If it was a miracle, I much rather it be that than... Than whatever else that was revealed. It was one thing that Ashley- the love of my life who had been poisoned by that slut mutt, Susan- recover from the ailment that made her suffer. Find the strength in her that helped her take down that bitch that was beating her so. In fact, for all I know, that must be what happened. And everything else- every word said that was making me think otherwise- were nothing but lies in the end. All that was 'revealed' were nothing but fabrications. Tales that were being told differently than what the action truly showed."ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?!" Or so I would have preferred it, if my father was not sitting across from me on the sofa, presenting me and Ashley with the package set on the table between us. The package was

  • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   A Slightly Warm Feeling

I looked up at Pularis in stupor. What was he trying to tell me?“S-Sorry, I think I got a little woozy there, Alpha. I could’ve sworn I’m hearing you tell me that I will be fully healed if my wolf awakens,” I said.“I am saying that.” My bafflement grew at his confirmation. “Now, don’t take my words seriously. I am no healer, and I am not some expert on wolves. The ones with us werewolves, that is. From what I’ve heard of your friend, there hasn’t been quite a case of an illness similar to yours in any medical records or books she knew of. Or am I wrong?”I was not a doctor myself, but from what I knew, Pularis was not wrong. Even Caitlyn said so, and hoped that his pack would know something about my condition that is not known in the Bluemoon pack.“I don’t know much about the role, you were born into the role of Werewolf Priestess, it is possible that there are plenty of differences about you compared to other werewolves, just as there is a difference between an Alpha werewolf and

  • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   Soon, I Will Be Free

I was just closing my eyes when I heard light knocking at my door, marking me open them again. ‘Who’s at my door this time?’ I wondered.“Yes?”“It’s me. Mind if I come in?”“Alpha Pularis? Uh, sure. You can come in.”Once I gave him permission, the door opened, and my soon-to-be new Alpha entered. “Apologies for suddenly leaving. Had matters to take care of,” he said.“Would they have to do with Duncan and Ashley?” Pularis gave me an odd look when I asked that. “I was told by Miss Patricia.”He sighed at the response. “I thought I smelled her scent earlier,” he muttered, before turning back to me. “To answer your question, yes. Yes, it does have to do with those two.” He then stopped for a moment, looking me over. “You mind sitting up? I need to talk to you about something important.”Curiosity washed over me when he said that. “Yeah, I’ll try.” I was about to sit up, only to be reminded of how painful it was even adjusting myself on the bed. Unlike before, though, Pularis quickly to

  • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   The News of the Illness Reveal

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait. What? I’m sorry, what? Huh? Ashley was what?”Those were the only things I could say after what Patricia revealed to me. News I never thought I would ever hear from… Well, anywhere. Nor did I think it to be that possible.“Like I said, child. That ‘Ashley’ girl has her lies exposed. The ‘illness’ she was said to be harboring was nothing more than a fake. A lie. An act. All with the right prop to use.”I was still in stupor, hearing that again. Replaying it in my head, even. This whole time, like Duncan and many others, I had thought she was truly affected by whatever aftermath that position had inflicted onto her. Now I’m hearing that there was no such thing? It was all nothing but some sick act Ashley had put on? But, that made no sense.“How could she have faked her illness this whole time? We’re not talking about ‘days’, but ‘years’. Even if Duncan was that blind to his love for her, he had to be sharp enough to realize the difference between fake and

  • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   Catching Up Again

Susan's POVI couldn’t sleep at all. I wasn’t sure if it was because I had already ‘slept’ enough that I didn’t need any more sleep, or if it was because I was starting to be conscious of the state of my body that I was not comfortable sleeping. I didn’t know which one it was, but I just couldn’t sleep.‘I wonder if I’m allowed to take any walks in the mansion. Or at least in my room. I don’t think I can sleep otherwise,’ I thought.I slowly tried to sit up from bed, though had some difficulties in doing so. My body was feeling quite sore, which made it a little tough for me to move. It especially hurts when I put pressure on some of my worst, bandaged injuries. That is, the bite and claw marks, according to Caitlyn.Eventually, instead of getting out of bed, I settled only for readjusting myself on it, and looked around the room.“I should’ve asked for a book to read or something,” I muttered.A knock was heard at the door, surprising me a bit.“Who is it?” I asked.“It’s me, dear. • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   Not So Ill

Time almost seemed to have frozen by the action. Not for me or my people, who know that punch did nothing to my Beta. For the Bluemoon wolves who thought that woman was so sickly, on the other hand- particularly a certain disgraceful Alpha...“Still believe her to be some flower to be protected?” Dingo questioned his son, who looked on in disbelief.“T-That… that’s just… an act! Yeah, that’s all that was!” the welp claimed, actually succeeding in baffling me that time, as several others were. “I know Ashley. She has a condition! She’s not able to cause any sort of harm on anything! That bitch of a werewolf only pretended that punch did anything to her! There’s no way Ashley actually-!”“You saw her take that Beta’s kick, and clearly that didn’t kill her as it would’ve any other sickly,” Dingo reminded him. “Moreover, as we saw, you claimed earlier her recovery is not like that of an average werewolf’s. Well, you may as well be right, seeing as she has recovered from her injuries faste

  • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   One Punch

The welp remained silent at the question. I didn't know if it meant that he didn't understand how he wouldn't know, or if he was waiting for a response from his father. Regardless, both options are equally sad and disappointing. "He's telling you that someone else picked the package up, and never reported to you about it. 'Hid' the package, more like," I answered for the pitifully dumb mutt. He who looked at me with rage."There is no way that-!""That is exactly what happened!" Dingo interrupted, frightening his son to silence. "The fact that your name is on these packages, and shipped to your house every month for the past four years are proof enough!""I-It could just be that bastard-!" Dingo unleashed another dose of his authority, silencing his son to submission. "You are still blaming someone outside the pack for a case that has happened in your very home? He who just arrived at our pack for the first time last month? It is clear enough that the true culprit is someone from in

  • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   What is This Package?

As expected, the moment it was made known what the book was, many in our little audience took 'interest' in the topic. To say the least. There were questions as to how the book was of any importance in this current situation, with several making assumptions that it would be about the lavishing spendings. I even overheard a few questioning what such info had to do with the matter at hand, noticing how troubled a couple sounded."How the hell did you get your hands on that?!" the welp demanded. "Ah, so you do know what this is," I said. "Now, as much as I would like to show here everything this book contains, we are not here to speak of the transaction history. No... What you want to know is details about this package delivered to you. From a shop called the 'Europhia Apothecary'.""I made no purchase to any apothecary, you fraudulent mutt!" the welp shouted.I rolled my eyes at him, surprised with how high his arrogance was. How fragile his pride turned out to be. "No one ever said yo

  • Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Luna   The Package and the Book

"What the hell is going on here?!"The chatters all ceased at my shout. Many turned my way, with some paling at the sight of me in my wolf form."I-It's the councilman!" a Bluemoon wolf barked out, as he and many others all parted, making a path for me to walk to the gate. I made no gesture of gratitude as I walked down the path made. Unlike most werewolves, who would usually reach an adult's waist in their wolf form, for me, I was pretty much as tall as an average adult in my form. Fitting for a werewolf whose wolf loves a good display of power. Fitting for an Alpha werewolf with a reputation like mine.As I walked, I could hear light whispers amongst the mass about my being here. And from what I was hearing, while some were assuming my arrival had to do with the suspicious package- an astute assumption from them- others assumed I was here to deliver news of the trial date, which was also not wrong. To say the least, the trial could've happened at any time. Especially when there was
