Somewhere in a small town called Grand Falls, Aledos trained with his fellow terrorist soldiers as sweat beaded down his face. He repeatedly hit the training target carefully and cautiously, as he didn’t want to reveal his true strength.
Unlike Kalen, he didn’t attack the locals to grab the organization’s attention. He disguised himself as an errand boy for a local gang in the community. The leader of the gang took him in and sent him out to do steal and do a lot of other unconventional things.
After a week of doing these things, he became a member of the gang. He quickly entered a period of growth, rising through the ranks with abnormal speed. Nothing could impede his growth in the gang when he uses his full strength.
It was another 2 weeks of being in the gang, when he finally attracted the terrorist organization’s attention, as they saw him as a promising soldier. He was directly kidnapped by the terrorists. The organization didn’t see him talented enough
During the cold late hours of the night, a pair of eyes blinked open, as it squinted to adapt to the dim lightning. Aledos slowly stood up; he looked outside, as the silver light from the moon illuminated the darkroom a little. Like Kalen, he also found an excuse to keep his bag. His lie was even more extreme, as he lied that the bag was a family heirloom. The terrorists didn’t fuss about it, as they’ve seen even more eccentric individuals. He stood up and silently moved to where he kept his bag, as he quickly checked his wristwatch for the time. “It’s 5:30am already,” he muttered silently to himself, as he donned his exotic armor and all his other equipment stealthily. He quickly equipped his throwing knives in their designated places in his armor. He felt nostalgic as he finally wore his military equipment again, after more than a month of wearing only his camouflaged squire uniform. He already made elaborate plans for his attack. He k
“WARNING!! Durability reduced by 10%. Warning!! Durability reduced by… Warning!! Durability reduced by…” “Shit,” Aledos cursed as he received multiple damage reports from his armor’s A.I. What bothered him was that he already figured out the identity of the mysterious shooter. "How the hell did the commander, discover me so quickly?” He questioned, as his brain’s thought process rapidly spiked. He reacted fast despite his thoughts, as he immediately jumped behind a car, while bringing out his dual automatic pistols. The damage he received from the commander’s few shots, made him feel uncomfortable. He didn’t know that the commander’s machine gun had this much firepower. “Fuck the database didn’t have this information. Who knew that the commander had an exotic machine gun. It’s another variable that interrupted my plans,” he thought in resignation and frustration. There is a high chance that the commander recently upgraded his gun’s capacity on the out
Somewhere else, in another corner of the Kingdom of Camelot, a squire ran as hard he can to escape from his pursuers. As he ran, he sometimes retaliated, killing the ordinary soldiers that were after him. Only 1 high-grade warrior pursued him with a bunch of ordinary soldiers, as they shot repeatedly at him. He put in maximum effort, running as fast as his legs could carry him. “I can’t die here, I must graduate. I want to be a knight of the Kingdom to make my family proud,” his focus was securing his life as he ran. His armor’s durability was finally depleted, as he started receiving direct gunshots. The bullets started impacting his relentlessly running form, as he staggered, sometimes falling. But he still got up and continued his escape. Despite being bloodied all over, he persevered as reinforcement finally arrived. His perseverance didn’t leave him disappointed, as the policemen from the nearby town arrived. They helped him fight, as he finally
The next day, Kalen woke up to meet his friend already awake. Aledos leisurely laid in the bed, while silently watching a morning show on the tv. He was completely unlike someone who just came back from a life-threatening graduation training mission. Kalen slept in his friend’s room, so after waking up, he conveniently prepared breakfast for them both. They ate, as they enjoyed the morning show with a smile. Ding!! Ding!! As they both relaxed after enjoying their food, they both suddenly received a message alert through their implant. They concentrated to immerse themselves, as they proceeded to see the message. “Good morning, squires, this is your captain speaking. The date of your graduation ceremony has been decided by your government. All squires are to prepare for the graduation ceremony, which will be held 2 weeks from today. “All squires are to get their formal military uniform from the armory before the ceremony commences. Everything you will
Chapter 47: Graduation Ceremony BeginsThe much-anticipated Monday finally came, as the squires came out from their rooms in their brand-new Camelot military uniform. Kalen came outside alongside Aledos; they paused a little to admire themselves and the scenery. The dark-toned color of the Camelot uniform made them look more mature and influential men of power. Their slightly bulky stature even kind made them look hot if looked at from the perspective of a female. After admiring how good they looked on the uniform, they smiled before moving forward together to the assembly ground. ************************************************************* After climbing the erected platform, Knight Captain Reede smiled as he got prepared to address the squire. After exchanging military greetings with them, he paused for a moment as he became slightly dazed. He quickly recovered his bearing, as he started giving his last speech to this squire batch.
“Get ready folks, because the last and memorable event of this ceremony is about to begin,” the mc of the ceremony said with a grin. “Please, I want you to give a wave of applause as I invite to the stage a hero of Camelot, I present to you his excellency, Knight General Galahad Roberts, the leader of Southern Region of Camelot, as he comes on stage to present the gifts to the exceptional knights of this batch.” The applause was deafening as everybody rose, including Kalen to welcome their leader. The Knight General smiled and waved at the audience as he stood up, walked straight to the podium. After taking the voice amplifier, he cleared his throat and adjusted his expensive looking red suit before turning to face the audience. “Good afternoon my fellow knights,” he greeted with a slight smile on his face. “It’s been a long day, and I am excited as much as you are to witness the last and most exciting event of the day. I am very excited and h
“Thank you, Kalen…., thank you for letting me witness such an achievement in my lifetime.” Knight General Roberts said in an emotional tone, as his smile grew wider. “Citizens of Camelot, Knight Sergeant Kalen broke the national individual award of excellence.” “He shocked me and while Camelot military as he achieved perfection in his graduation training, he scored a whopping 400 points out of the 400 allocated as the milestone. “What astonished me the most was that he scored more than the allocated 400 points, but there was no place to further increase his points tally. What a genius.” Knight General Roberts spoke with so emotion, from his tone you could even visibly see the faint ripples of being proud overflowing. “When Lancelot, the prodigy from the North Region of Camelot broke the record, setting it at 380 points, the whole country was shocked. Lancelot is now a great and major pillar of the Camelot military; he is now one of the few kni
A week later, after all the hustle and bustle created from the graduation ceremony, Kalen was finally assigned to a military division of the Camelot army. After graduation, all the new knights are to be sorted out there in the Southern Camelot military headquarters, where they’ll be assigned to different military divisions. Kalen applied to be in the same division as Aledos, which was finally processed and approved after a week of patiently waiting. They were ready to face the next phase of their careers, as knights of the Kingdom of Camelot. After graduating as a knight, the next phase of service. You serve and protect the kingdom after becoming a knight, that was the primary duty of Camelot knights. ****************************************************** 200 knights were assigned to each military division, to bolster their ranks. Kalen, Aledos, and 198 others were assigned to the Tiger military division in Crescent city. The 200 of th
