Chapter 47: Graduation Ceremony Begins
The much-anticipated Monday finally came, as the squires came out from their rooms in their brand-new Camelot military uniform. Kalen came outside alongside Aledos; they paused a little to admire themselves and the scenery. The dark-toned color of the Camelot uniform made them look more mature and influential men of power. Their slightly bulky stature even kind made them look hot if looked at from the perspective of a female.
After admiring how good they looked on the uniform, they smiled before moving forward together to the assembly ground.

After climbing the erected platform, Knight Captain Reede smiled as he got prepared to address the squire. After exchanging military greetings with them, he paused for a moment as he became slightly dazed.
He quickly recovered his bearing, as he started giving his last speech to this squire batch.
“Get ready folks, because the last and memorable event of this ceremony is about to begin,” the mc of the ceremony said with a grin. “Please, I want you to give a wave of applause as I invite to the stage a hero of Camelot, I present to you his excellency, Knight General Galahad Roberts, the leader of Southern Region of Camelot, as he comes on stage to present the gifts to the exceptional knights of this batch.” The applause was deafening as everybody rose, including Kalen to welcome their leader. The Knight General smiled and waved at the audience as he stood up, walked straight to the podium. After taking the voice amplifier, he cleared his throat and adjusted his expensive looking red suit before turning to face the audience. “Good afternoon my fellow knights,” he greeted with a slight smile on his face. “It’s been a long day, and I am excited as much as you are to witness the last and most exciting event of the day. I am very excited and h
“Thank you, Kalen…., thank you for letting me witness such an achievement in my lifetime.” Knight General Roberts said in an emotional tone, as his smile grew wider. “Citizens of Camelot, Knight Sergeant Kalen broke the national individual award of excellence.” “He shocked me and while Camelot military as he achieved perfection in his graduation training, he scored a whopping 400 points out of the 400 allocated as the milestone. “What astonished me the most was that he scored more than the allocated 400 points, but there was no place to further increase his points tally. What a genius.” Knight General Roberts spoke with so emotion, from his tone you could even visibly see the faint ripples of being proud overflowing. “When Lancelot, the prodigy from the North Region of Camelot broke the record, setting it at 380 points, the whole country was shocked. Lancelot is now a great and major pillar of the Camelot military; he is now one of the few kni
A week later, after all the hustle and bustle created from the graduation ceremony, Kalen was finally assigned to a military division of the Camelot army. After graduation, all the new knights are to be sorted out there in the Southern Camelot military headquarters, where they’ll be assigned to different military divisions. Kalen applied to be in the same division as Aledos, which was finally processed and approved after a week of patiently waiting. They were ready to face the next phase of their careers, as knights of the Kingdom of Camelot. After graduating as a knight, the next phase of service. You serve and protect the kingdom after becoming a knight, that was the primary duty of Camelot knights. ****************************************************** 200 knights were assigned to each military division, to bolster their ranks. Kalen, Aledos, and 198 others were assigned to the Tiger military division in Crescent city. The 200 of th
They woke up the next day, feeling refreshed and full of strength. Sleeping and resting was still the best way to recover someone strength and feel refreshed. Their bodies felt smooth like beautified jade that just came out of a hot bath. The feeling was very satisfying. After coming out to the sitting room, Kalen smiled as he breathes in the fresh air coming through the window. “This is a sign of good fortune coming our way,” he thought, as his smile grew wider. Aledos yawned lazily, as Cruz greeted them both. “Good morning Aledos, good morning, Kalen,” his cheerful voice echoed around the large sitting room. “Yeah, good morning. The night was good, it’s probably the best I’ve had in a while.” Aledos answered while stretching to relieve his bones. “Who asked you about your night?” Kalen and Cruz thought simultaneously in amusement. They chucked, as they got up to brush their teeth and prepare for the day. They were almost finished get
The entrance to the division’s armory was just like the one at their military training base. A smiling middle-aged knight sat at the counter facing them, he was the Master at Arms, he was the armory supervisor. They recognized him as he was one of the high-grade warriors that the Knight Captain introduced to them. “Good morning, Knight Sergeant Enzo,” they greeted respectfully and saluted, after they got closer to him. “We would like to check out the armory. Would that be possible?” Kalen asked. “Good morning, Knight Sergeants, of course, go ahead and check out what is inside,” he said with a wider smile on his face, after returning the greeting. “All I need for you to do is fill in your names and the time you arrived here in this digital book. When you are leaving, fill in the time. This is used for reference purposes and our records.” “Ok, thanks.” They relied, as they quickly filled in their names before entering the armory.
“I’m sorry guys, I take her as my mom, so the little time I can spend with her is very precious to me. Please understand.” “And besides, we only agreed on staying at my place for 2 days before we head to Aledo’s city. So, allow me to relish in this opportunity, I did not waste your time.” Kalen explained as Aledos’s complaints continued unabashedly. Cruz just smiled benevolently, as Aledos finally decided to stop his complaints. He finally had the time to compliment the woman’s food, after calming down from his bantering. Though he complained, it was just a means has a joke for him to make his friend talk more. “Kalen, to be sincere you would have paid dearly, but man that food was so delicious. Your mom’s cooking is to die for,” he said while rubbing his stomach with a satisfying grin on his face. “You will have to thank her, or you would probably be picking up your teeth from the ground.” He sharply added as he turned to face his friend.
Kalen smiled involuntarily as he drove into the familiar-looking street. This is his home, after staying away for so long there was no way that he would not miss it, home is simply priceless. He was finally back after years of roaming around and training in his military base. The sports car drew a lot of attention from passing by a lot of people stared at it after being attracted by its sparkling and neat appearance. He already transmitted a message through his implant to his house A.I. On arriving, the gate automatically opened as he smoothly drove inside the compound. They all finally got out of the car, once he parked the car in the garage. “The house looks exactly the same as it did three years ago, technology really makes things more convenient,” he thought in appreciation. “Cruz, Aledos, welcome to my home. It’s not too big, but its better than some other homes.” He finally turned to face his friends, as he officially welcomed them. “Hah
Even Cruz was gob smacked on seeing this; he did not know what to say, he was speechless as he opened his mouth wide while staring around foolishly. The street was truly a shocking sight. Despite this much increase in technology utilization, the road of the street was so backward that it had potholes. It was apparent that the appearance of this kind of car in this place broke the normal equilibrium. Kalen was sure that 100% of the people they passed stared at the car with greed, envy or jealousy. “Man…, I think we should park the car in a better place before coming back on foot.” He gulped, as he turned to give this suggestion to Aledos. His original enthusiasm for coming here was already gone; he felt like someone poured cold water all over. Crus seconded the suggestion without any hesitation and even added that they should just go and not come back. Unlike Kalen, he felt deceived, it felt like a wife learning that she was cheated on. Aledos
