LOGIN"You stare at me like that, and I’ll kiss you till you drop." "Tsk. You don’t dare do it here." "You think so? Then tonight…" "Tsk. I knew it." Ethan and Ryan. Two racers who can’t stop bickering—or competing. What starts as a teasing banter quickly turns into heated kisses… and fights that spill off the track now takes place in the bedroom. Rivals, enemies or maybe something more. Are they ready to admit it?

The sun hadn’t even properly woken yet, but the heat between Ryan and me didn’t wait for daylight. I found him leaning against his bike, arms crossed, jaw tight, eyes glaring at me like he was one inch away from punching me or kissing me. Honestly, at this point, I wasn’t sure which terrified me more but I know all part of his body held the thought of beating me. “Damn you, Ethan,” he spat, voice low and dangerous. “You knew Jessica was mine and you still…” He gestured vaguely, like words couldn’t hold the betrayal. “God, you motherf—” I raised a brow, smirking just enough to press the button I knew he had labeled Do Not Touch. “Oh? Was she yours?” I drawled, tilting my head. “Then why did she say yes to me? You should be ashamed. Can’t even tell a girl you like her, and now you’re mad at me because I had the courage?” His eyes burned, shifting between fury and… something else. Hurt, maybe. Yeah, that one looked tasty. Not that I’d admit it. “Fuck you, Ethan,” he hissed. “You always have to be...” His voice cracked just slightly. I leaned back against the railing, hands in my pockets, letting the tension stretch. “Have to be what? You’re staring at me like I just stole the moon. Relax, baby, it’s just a girl.” “Just a girl?” His voice rose like he was arguing with himself. “She’s… she’s not just a girl. And you..” He threw his hands up, hair falling over his eyes. “You’re impossible!” I grinned. Yeah, that's Ryan. All storm and no shelter, yet somehow… I wanted to reach in and fix it. Or mess with him more. Probably both. “Maybe I like seeing you lose control,” I teased lightly. “It’s… fascinating.” He froze for a split second, like he’d heard me say something dangerous, and maybe he had. His jaw clenched, fists curling at his sides. “You’re infuriating,” he muttered, pacing a few steps away. Then he stopped and spun, eyes flashing. “Fine. You want to play? Let’s play but don’t think I’m going easy on you.” I raised an eyebrow, pretending to consider. “Hmm… tempting. But losing? That's surely not an option for me.” A dangerous smirk spread across his face, the kind that said, I could burn this place down and enjoy it. “Good. Then let’s see who Jessica really wants. Ready to get schooled?” “Bring it on,” I said, stepping a hair closer, feeling my heart do that ridiculous drum solo in my chest. “Try not to cry when I win.” He blinked, a tiny flicker of hope, then hardened again. Typical Ryan, he was too stubborn to quit, too good looking to ignore. And oh, God, did I hate that about him. “Always defeat?” I scoffed, leaning just enough for our noses to almost brush. “Last I checked, you’ve never beaten me.” “Because you cheat!” His voice was sharp, accusing, but there was a tremor there. A tiny one and yes, I noticed. “Every damn time.” I tapped his chest lightly with two fingers, just to see him twitch. “No, Ryan. I just know how to win. That's obviously a big difference.” His glare could have cut steel. “Keep talking, when I cross that finish line first, we’ll see who’s laughing.” “Aw, confident much?” I teased. “Almost adorable, too bad skills still have to beat confidence every time.” For a heartbeat, the air between us thickened. The world shrank until it was just him and me. Then he broke into that grin—one of those maddening, charming ones that could ruin me if I let it. “You’re going down, Ethan,” he said, tone low and deadly. I smirked, chest tightening at the thought of him with Jessica. “We’ll see about that.” He stepped back, pointing like a general calling troops to battle. “Tomorrow. Meet me at the field and I want no excuses.” He whispered like he was a boss if me. Tsk. “Tomorrow,” I echoed, keeping the grin. Heart pounding like a bass drum, because yeah… he got under my skin more than I wanted to admit. ~~~~~ The next day, the racing field was buzzing. Engines roared, tires screeched, and a sea of people murmured about our showdown. I couldn’t help but smirk. The news had spread like wildfire—Ethan versus Ryan. Rivals to the death or, you know, to the first corner. I adjusted my gloves, pretending calm while my stomach did gymnastics. Not Jessica making me nervous. Well… maybe a little. Fine. A lot. But mostly, it was Ryan standing there, hair tousled, smirk doing something untamed to me I was not ready to admit. He sauntered in late, as usual, like the world bent to his schedule. Confidence radiated off him in waves, enough to make eyes turn and hearts skip. Including mine. Ugh. I hate him. “Hope you warmed up,” he said, stopping in front of me, helmet dangling from one hand. I let my gaze roam. His jacket fit just right. Hair messy but controlled. That stupid grin—feral, teasing, infuriating and damn attractive. “Don’t worry about me, Ryan. Worry about yourself. Even if you want a show, I’d hate to see you embarrass yourself in front of Jessica.” His lips twitched. “Funny… I was going to say the same to you.” We froze in that moment, world fading until it was just him and me. Jessica? Not even in my thoughts. The referee finally called us over. Ryan glanced away. “Let’s settle this,” he muttered. I smirked throwing my helmet on, gloves tightened. “With pleasure.” Engines roared to life and tires screamed and suddenly, it wasn’t just a race—it was him, me, and this insane, ridiculous tension that neither of us could stop. I glanced sideways through the visor. Ryan met my gaze. And in that heartbeat, Jessica didn’t matter. Not really. It was him, always him. And I was already losing.Ethan pov"Shit, shit," Ryan whispered, more to himself than to me.I watched through the screen as he scrambled upright, blinking against the morning light. He had fallen asleep last night without even realizing his camera was still on, his face half buried in his pillow while I finished the last chapter of my textbook."Morning, baby," I cooed, leaning my chin on my hand.He startled, nearly knocking his phone off the nightstand. He stared at the screen, looking unbelievably confused. "Did I fall asleep leaving you on the phone?""Obviously.""And you didn’t put the call off?""Why would I do that?" I teased, a smirk pulling at my lips. "I enjoy seeing your pretty face. It’s satisfying. And honestly? Your little snores are funny and cute. I had a soundtrack for my studying."Ryan groaned, dragging a hand over his face. "Isn't it too early to be teasing me? I probably look like a wreck.""You look perfect," I countered, watching him roll out of bed.He didn't hang up. He propped the
Ryan povI glanced at the time on my phone and nearly choked on my drink. It was already twenty-five minutes past the time Fatima had given me for the lunch break."I have to go to work! I’ll call you back by evening," I said hurriedly into the camera.Ethan didn't even get a chance to say goodbye before I cut the call and sprinted back toward the store. My heart was thumping against my ribs. Great, first day and I’m already the guy who can’t keep track of time. When I slid back behind the counter, out of breath, Fatima just looked at her watch and then at me. She didn't scold me, though. She just gave me a knowing smirk that said I told you so without her having to utter a word. The rest of the afternoon was a blur. Customers came and went, some were nice while some were grumpy, it was a different kind of experience but I kept my head down and kept scanning. The beep and the swipe of the cards started to feel natural. As the sun began to set through, Fatima came closer and leaned aga
Ryan pov The sudden knock on my door woke me from my slumber. Who was that knocking on my door so early? “Mom?” I called out but got no reply. “Buddy.” The door flew opened and champ walked in jumping on me. “Why are you still asleep dude? It’s basically 9am.” “And…?” I asked trying to get him off me. “And remember you called me last night to take you to the mall.” “What mall?” I rubbed at my eyes looking at him weirdly…. “Shit!” I threw my blanket off me and jumped down the bed heading to the bathroom. Mum told me she was going to be busy today, she asked if I could go to the mall myself but my prideful ass said yes. Turns out i’m a chicken who is shy. “Give me some minutes dude.” Champ paid me no attention. He just nodded at me still on his phone. I brushed my teeth as fast as I could, It took me six minutes to scrub down my whole body and bolt out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my waist. It wasn't my fault I was still in bed. I had slept late last night just by
Ryan POV“Ohh, no one told me I have this good looking boyfriend.”“Bullshit.” Ethan said. I shifted the phone, propping it against a stack of books so I could see him better. Ethan’s face filled the screen, and even though the lightening looked dim, he looked incredible.“Ohh, no one told me I have this good looking boyfriend,” I said, leaning my chin on my palm.Ethan rolled his eyes, but a smirk tugged at his lips. “Bullshit, Ryan. You say that every time I call.”“Because it’s true every time,” I countered. “How’s life as a future doctor? Still drowning in classes?”“Beyond drowning,” he sighed, leaning back. I could see the thick medical textbooks piled behind him. “I spent six hours today labeling parts of the brain I didn't even know existed. My head feels like it’s going to explode, and I still have a quiz at 8:00 AM. But enough about my misery. Tell me about your day. Did you actually go outside?”I laughed softly. “I did. I took a walk, helped Mom with the garden, and spent
Ryan POVMy head was pounding like someone had drummed through my skull the whole night. I blinked into the dull morning light slicing through the curtain and groaned. My body felt heavy, my throat felt dry, and everything about me felt weak.Judging from my attitude, I knew I was drunk last night.
Ryan POV“Damn, Ry, stop. You always rant about us getting caught and you’re doing this,” Ethan whispered, his smile frozen perfectly for the others as he leaned closer like I had just told him an unfunny joke.“No.” I mouthed back, my hand still exploring his thigh under the table, fingers brushin
Ryan POVBy the time we got to the field, the guys were already there just standing without even doing a thing, their helmets were off, their bikes parked. No one was laughing, competing or shouting like usual. The air was heavy, like a cloud had dropped right in the middle of the track.Ethan slow
Ryan’s POVI was just ranting to my boyfriend about what coach had said earlier about my next run, he said something about control, he said I ride like I was a robot who didn’t get hungover.I was just beginning to get exhausted when Ethan suddenly grabbed my wrist and dragged me into one of the st
