The Escape Plan

Valerie was mopping the floor and was humming alongside with the birds that seemed like the lead singers.

 “You should take some time out and rest my dear friend” Sonia’s voice brought her out of her fantasies as she smiled. 

“I noticed you were avoidably absent during the event last night. Any reason for that...?” Sonia curled her arms waiting for an explanation. She had hoped that Valerie will use the festive event as a medium to mingle with few people. Before Valerie could say anything. She made sure to looked around to ensure nobody was eavesdropping and said in low tone...

“I found my mate already!”

 Sonia was elated and hugged her friend but stopped on her track when she noticed Valerie wasn’t being all jovial like she hoped it would be. 

“What is the matter, Valerie...? Did he reject you...?” Sonia asked with one eye brow raised. Valerie nodded sideways... and once again said in low tone...

‘I am mated to the Alpha’s son.” 

This alone made her friend's eyes went wild and she couldn’t spot a way to comprehend what Valerie had just told her. She was shocked for two reasons, one was the fact that Valerie's mate was the Alpha’s son and secondly Sonia had always had a crush on Leo. And so... this news saddened her.

 “That is good news, sweetheart!” She said to her, wishing differently for her as she wished she was the one mated with Leo. 

“So tell me... when you both met, how did it feel?” Sonia was curious to know Valerie’s reaction.

“A lot of thing happened last night dear friend. The summary of the whole thing is.. we made out and were caught by the Alpha whom Leo got into a serious fight with, trying to protect me, his mate. And eventually, I got another scar last night from one of the pack members who was instructed to use a whip on me for disrespecting the Alpha.” With that, Valerie sighed...

“So what do you intend doing now that the alpha knows that his son is your mate?” Sonia asked.

“I haven’t given it a thought yet, but... one thing I will have to know is that, no one will take my mate away from me because I love him already!” Sonia hated the fact that the one single person she had come to love was mated to an Omega and so, envy and hatred began to engulf her as she channeled it to Valerie her friend.

“Well, let me leave you to your chores, I have school to attend.” Sonia said, and then hurriedly left the kitchen. 

Valerie on the other hand noticed something was off about Sonia the moment she mentioned that Leo was her mate, but didn’t put much thought to it. 

While she was still mopping the floor, the same scent from the party filled her nose and once again, her wolf was elated and for all she knows, Leo had come for her. Valerie could feel his scent which was mixed summer berries and as she looked up and saw him, there was a connection formed between them as their wolves both clawed to take over. Valerie could not concentrate on her chores any longer, and definitely felt a spark when he looked into her eyes. 

Her hair was midnight-black in color, and it flowed over her shoulders... She has a sculpted figure which was twine-thin... Her waist was tapered and she had a burnished complexion. A pair of arched eyebrows looked down on her weeping lashes. What made her enticing were her constellation-blue eyes which were fixated at him.

Leo’s wolf at this point was growled in sweet pleasure. One thing Leo knew was that, he was mated to an Omega, someone he had always had a crush on and so no one is stopping him from making sure he marks her. And with that his wolf growled.

Leo approached her like the last time and felt his wolf taking control and he crashed his lips into hers. His tongue slips inside her mouth, gently but demanding... It was nothing like Valerie had experienced. She gripped his hair, pulling him closer as her heart explodes and her vein throbs. The intense moment was brought to an end abruptly by Leo and both were panting heavily from the intense moment. Leo looked at his mate in the eye and said...

“This place isn’t safe for you dear mate... Let's leave this pack together!” Valerie removed her hands from his collar bone and looked at him in disbelief. 

“You know that is not possible! We have no where to go... Precise, if we leave the pack now, we'll eventually turn rogues and thus, we both will be prone to dangers out there!” Leo held her hands and once again both of them felt the spark.

“And we will survive, I promise you! You may think that you are weak, but that is not the case. You have listened to people’s opinion about you that you don’t know who you are any longer... This place would only bring you nothing but pains and miseries.... And before knowing you were my mate, I had always taking a liking to you, and had hoped that one day, I would draw your attention to it but, as fate would have it, we are mate now... I would not stand and watch my mate be tortured by her own people; NEVER!!! I want to be there for you every single day and comfort you as much as possible... Assuring you of my love for you, and be there to protect you always... Let's flee from this place... start a new life elsewhere, and be consummated as one! Come on... Valerie...!!!” 

Every single word struck Valerie like spear as they pierced so deeply into her heart.. and lifted her off her balance. She never believed someone could speak such deep words to her, and so with conviction, she grabbed hold of his hand and looked at his beautiful eyes and then said...

“With you by my side, I feel safe and the moment of peace I have always wished for comes to me effortlessly... And I love you Leo... and I will be by your side for ever as your Luna!  It is fine by me if you want us to flee from this place. I'll go with you!”

Leo grinned and curled his lips into hers...
