Solange DayeI do hope you all are enjoying the story so far. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. This week and next week are very busy with the end of school. There may not be daily updates but I will try to update at least 3-4 times over the next two weeks.

ELLAI have been awake for three days and it has been three days of listening to my father and Erebus bicker over my wellbeing. Erebus insists that I stay locked in my room because I need rest. ELLA “I told you,” Erebus growls at me. “Queens do not play video games.” “And I told you that I am not Queen material,” I grunt as my stomach hits his shoulder with each step he takes. ELLA His lips crash down on my own in an instant, taking my breath away. But his lips soften against mine as his tongue explores my mouth. Unlike the urgent, needy kisses that have come before this one, this kiss is soft and delicate, like he wants to take his time. His tongue brushes up against my own before he takes my bottom lip in his mouth giving it a gentle tug with his teeth. The metallic taste of my blood fills my mouth before Erebus licks my bottom lip and seals the bite with his saliva. Placing a hand on my shoulder Erebus gently pushes my back against the bed. My head hits the pillow, and he deepens the kiss causing me to moan into his mouth. Grinding himself between my legs I can feel his erection pressing against my stomach. My hips involuntarily rise to meet his own as we find a rhythm together while our lips are still locked on one another. EREBUS I am watching proudly as my father negotiates with the clan of hunters that have been killing off our kind for more than fifty years. “You can’t continue to kill innocent wolves and lycans within our city limits,” my father’s voice rings out loudly through the conference hall. Murmurs of objections fill the hall as the clan debates among themselves. “We are no longer the creatures that we once were,” my father tries to speak over the murmurs, but it is useless. “We haven’t turned a human without their consent in more than a thousand years. Be reasonable.” But this clan of hunters is less than reasonable. The sound of a shot gun shucking fills the hall and the lycan guards shift immediately. Standing on my chair I try to see who has the gun, but chaos has consumed the conference hall. Four hunters are trying to subdue my father, who is still in human form. They are slashing the air around him with silver blades, but he is too quick and dodges every blade aimed at him.

ELLA My fingers skim through the array of new clothes that Erebus had bought for me, so I look more like a Queen. The closet is filled with pantsuits, business casual dresses, and long shimmering evening gowns. I wrinkle my nose at all of the options. None of them are my style at all, but today is the first day of training with Talia and I don’t want to disappoint Erebus. An emerald, green dress with long sleeves and a scooped neckline catches my attention. It is perfect. Slipping the dress over my head it hugs all of my curves nicely but not too tightly and my ample cleavage is barely visible at the top of the neckline. It falls just above my knees with a little flare. I pull back the front of my hair in a simple braid letting the rest fall neatly over my shoulders. Luckily all of the purple hair dye has washed out and only my dark waves remain. Giving myself a little turn in the mirror I am satisfied that my runes are perfectly covered. ELLA “I want to take you on a date,” Erebus says once he has pulled me from the library.“You aren’t going to yell at me?” I ask questioningly. Erebus pulls me to his chest and nuzzles his nose against my mark causing tingles of electricity to travel through my body. “Why would I yell?” He asks me while placing small kisses up and down my neck. ELLA Standing outside the only nightclub in Lycan City I look up to Erebus in shock. “This is where you chose to take me on our date?”“Is there something wrong with this place?” Erebus’s face falls in disappointment. “Not at all!” I say with a little too much excitement behind my words. “I just didn’t think that this was the type of thing that Kings and Queens were supposed to do.”“Since I own the place I thought we could make an exception,” Erebus says proudly with a huge grin spread across his lips. “Have you ever been here before?”I cast my eyes on the ground and shake my head no. “I rarely had a night off from the bar,” I explain, “Rick is always understaffed because he’s a pervert and chased all the female employees away.” The bouncer at the front of the nightclub waved Erebus in immediately but not before raking his eyes up and down my body. Hello my lovely readers! I had a bit of an accident yesterday that has left me with only use of one of my hands. Updates will be slow until I heal which I’m hoping will only be a week or two. I am loving all of the sweet comments, gems, and thumbs up. When I started this journey I was sure that no one would want to hear my stories. I am so honored that each and everyone of you take the time to read. Once again I am so sorry for hurting myself and delaying updates. I hope you guys will stick around and continue to read even if the chapter updates are slow.
