"My Lord, everything has been done according to your command," Gabriel smirked as his exercise halted in the middle. He sit up on the concreted floor as he stopped doing push-ups. Grabbing the bottle of water he started soaking his dry throat.

"Where is she?" His thick breathy voice entered Victor's ears who nodded his head.

"She's in the basement locked as per your order." Gabriel hummed standing up from the floor.

"You can take Kai with you as you want. And for that girl." He paused as his evil eyes turned dark with rage and hate.

"Ask Rylie to give her chores. Remember to give her instructions that human girl shouldn't be harmed physically otherwise she will have to face me." Victor bowed his head and kneeled before him when Gabriel walked out of the place.

Gabriel was half naked as he was exercising in the practice area in the backyard. It's been a while since he did an exercise from the time he returned. Even the time of his stay in the village he didn't much exercise because of his injuries.

His mind instantly went to that human girl who was fueling the beast inside him each second. He wouldn't lie he wanted to see her, he wanted to meet her but he wouldn't. He saved her and Kai's lives because they helped him. Otherwise, he would have killed them as well.

She might have skipped his heartbeat once when he took her as an innocent girl who deserved the world but soon she threw that facade away making him finally see the truth about her. She might look innocent and fragile but in reality, she was just like every other woman. Cunning, and selfish!

He should have kept the vow he made a year ago to never trust a woman. He should have kept his word that the more naive these women look the more vicious they are. But good thing he saw behind her mask before it was too late.

She will live her life here till death will reach her on its own. He wouldn't kill her. He could do that at least to return the favor she did to him by giving him a helping hand when he needed it.

Reaching his chamber he shut off the door entering it. Pulling his clothes out he decided to run a bath. Even though he was the king and he should have several workers for his work but Gabriel was a different breed. Even being a king he didn't like allowing anyone in his chamber.

He likes to do his work himself. After his luxurious bathtub got filled with water he let his body submerge in it till his upper torso. Spreading his arms on the edge of the tub he threw his head back closing his eyes.

A day later

Fleur flinched badly curling up in the corner of the room. It was a dark contracted room. The walls and cemented floor of the room were covered with dirt like it hasn't been cleaned for years. She yelped watching a small rat running in the corner of the room making her tear up.

She pushed her back against the wall even more in terror. Her arms were curled around her knees as she was hugging her body near her chest and trying to take as much less place as she could.

Fleur had an immense fear of rats and bugs. She was fine with everything in this world but bugs and rats are her biggest fears. Without her realizing tears started streaming down her eyes, and a soft sob started escaping her trembling lips.

"H-Help me." She tried to loudly scream but instead, only an audible whisper left her lips because of fear. She couldn't get her strength up to scream for help or even move from her place. She was frozen in terror. Crying was the only thing she could do.

Her body harshly trembled when the door of the room got slammed open revealing a scary-looking mid-aged woman. She walked near Fleur sighing heavily.

"Stand up." Her voice was firm and there was no softness in it even after seeing how terribly Fleur was scared.

After seeing Fleur numb in fear the woman showing no mercy held her arm and made her stand on the cemented dirty floor before dragging her out. Fleur stared at the floor with wide alarmed eyes at the fear of any rat coming in her way but fortunately, she made it out without seeing any rat.

Her bloodshot eyes that were swollen because of continuous crying came in contact with the bright light of the sun. She shut her eyes off feeling a throbbing pain in her eyes and head.

"Look up human!" The woman's hard voice made her open her eyes and look at her. She let her arm go and Fleur had to clutch her dress to maintain her balance as her body was too weak from all crying. She didn't eat anything from yesterday.

"Follow me!" Fleur had no choice but to oblige the woman after all she still didn't know where was she. Or where her brother is? From the time she came here, she didn't see Kai even once all she remember was the man who abducted them throwing Kai's unconscious body over his shoulder and keeping her locked in the scary room.

She just knows one thing. This place is not for humans. Victor already told her that they are werewolves and she is in their world. He also explained a little saying that some of the humans knew about them and were ready to tell the upper authority about their world and that's why they had to kill them all.

All Fleur felt was disgust for them. But at the end of the day she can't even blame them after all they aren't human to know the meaning of mercy. They are animals. Why would they care about human life?

Reaching a small room that had a single bed and an attached bathroom the woman turned to Fleur. "This is your room. For today just rest. But from tomorrow onwards I will assign you some chores. There are some clothes in that box take a shower." With that, she left the room not giving any chance to Fleur to question her.

Fleur slowly took a seat on the bed and just laid it. She had no energy to even sit properly anymore. She wanted to sleep and relax her mind. She felt like she has lost everything in a span of a few minutes.

"Please God keep Kai safe." She whispered closing her tired eyes.

After a few minutes, she felt a tug on her arm like someone was shaking her. She slowly opened her tired eyes finding the same woman standing there with her usual hard eyes.

"Here eat this." The woman said placing a tray of food on the side table. Fleur slowly sat up blinking her eyes tiredly.

"Wait." She said when the woman was about to walk out. She turned to look at Fleur who hardly gulp down.

"W-Why am I here?" She whispered but being a werewolf the woman heard her clearly.

"Instead of asking this. You should be asking me to thank king on your behalf for sparing your life human." Fleur looked up in disbelief.

"He killed everyone from my village. I don't even know where my brother is right now. And you want me to thank him." The woman chuckled shaking her head.

"Exactly he killed everyone but you. Don't you think it's enough for you to be grateful to him? Because if it wasn't for him you two would have burnt to ashes as well. You should be happy that you're not getting the treatment we usually give to weaklings, human." Saying that the woman turned to walk out but Fleur's next words stopped her.

"Who is he? And why didn't he kill me?" The woman turned her head to the side showing Fleur half of her face.

"Only he can answer you that." With that, she stepped out making Fleur sigh heavily.

Fleur held her head looking at the dirty cemented floor with a teary gaze. Why does her heart feel like she will never be able to see her brother again? Why does it feel like she was stuck here and there is no way out for her?

Why does she feel like a prisoner, like a slave? Or was she really a slave now?
