Chapter One
It was already morning when I realized I was only half way through my Sherlock Holmes book. I used to read faster than that but for the past few days the feeling of being someone else was looming over me. I didn’t want to dwell on that fact and I certainly didn’t want my family to worry about me. “I just have to suck it up until I find out what has been causing this.” I say to myself as I cross my room to my computer. I check my messages or even emails from my professors but there was none. “Geez, even not having to do anything is bugging me.”Walking out of my room the sudden flash of movement caught my eye.“AAAH!"Sil was standing on her door way rubbing her eyes. “Aaaaaahhh.” She repeats unenthusiastically. She was wearing and oversized white t-shirt that had a wolf on it. Under her shirt I saw blue boxers. “Stop scaring me like that then.” I bit back. “I heard you last night.” She

“Wake up!” I opened my eyes my sister swam to view. “What?” I grumble.“School’s what.”I shot straight up. I looked at my clock. It was six thirty.“Sil, move!” she was sitting on my leg.Sil moved out and I ran for the bath room.“You get harder and harder to wake up these days.” Sil complained. The school grounds were filled with people. Cheer leaders were exercising their cheer for this year’s game. The geeks were huddled in one table and discussing something’s that will make your nosebleed.Sil and I sat on our usual spot. Under a tree facing the whole school grounds. I brought my pack in front and pulled out my biology book. I opened the cover and took my schedule out. “You keep your schedule in there?” and then I stuffed the book back. “Yeah.” I peered through my first class. Chemistry. With Mr. Roberts.“What&rsqu

Chapter Three
My alarm clock sprung to life. I grunted at the sound. I really didn’t want to wake up. It’s a Saturday and I had the whole morning to rest. Especially since I spent half of the evening awake, scared I might dream of that crazy woman again.“Ian, wake up.” Sil said shaking my arm.The strong scent of vanilla filled my nostrils. I opened one eye and looked at her. Her hair was tied back. She was wearing a tattered shirt and shorts. I remember it wrote- NO LIKE HEAT! - With an angry turtle on it. Sil’s green eyes looked tired like she’s been crying all night. They were quite red yet she still gave me her kindest smile.“It’s Saturday.” I grumbled. I turned and pulled the blanket.“No, it’s Tuesday.” She said. I exhaled.Pushing the blanket off me and headed for the bathroom. I shut the door and leaned against it. I looked at the mirror and saw my eyes were sleepy.Turing o

Chapter Four
I felt uneasy. I was standing in front of the mirror. I was fixing my tie. I really hated this. Family dinners with the Franks were always something I dreaded. The fact that they always try to set me up with Tracy was one thing, but my visions of the dark creature were getting out of hand as well. I get them in the bathroom, in the game room, when I am trying to have my alone time, which puts me out of the mood immediately. I want to find out who she is, but something in me was also saying to stay away.Just when I finished fiddling with my outfit, I heard crashing down stairs. I jumped and my instincts took over. I rush down the stairs, my mom was on the ground, a broken vase was on the floor next to her. A blue fire ball was floating in front of Mr. Frank. The guy looked shocked. His eyes where white and his mouth was open. Sil was knocked out cold next to my dad. Mrs. Frank and Tracy were side by side passed out on the couch. I was paralyzed. I felt my hesitation. I

I woke up in my room. A cloth was on my fore head. It was super cold. I took it off and sat up. My head began to swim. I felt queasy.“Easy…you’ve been out for hours.” Sil’s face swam to view.“Huh, that was not even a nice sleep.” I shook my head clearing the dancing colors. I blinked three times. My vision was still fuzzy. I looked around.Sil was sitting on the computer chair. She looked tired. My clock told me it was five in the morning.“How many hours?” My head felt like a rope was strapped to it and at the other end of the rope was an anvil. There was no light. But I saw the sun rising. It gave the clouds a purple-ish, pink-ish glow.“It’s been 2 days.” Sil place her head down on my table and began to sleep.“2 DAYS?!” the headache worsening as the sound of my voice echoed in my room.“Shhh, I’ll explain tomor—” And just

Chapter Six
The morning was gloomy. I still didn’t get enough sleep on top of that my body ached. Every inch of me refused to move after all the sudden exercising I did yesterday. I still couldn’t shake my mind off of the eerie feeling I had of the place. Even my body knew I wasn’t home, it just wouldn’t rest.I forced my legs down the stairs, not wanting to spend another minute in my room that wasn’t mine. The muddy yellow light coming from the huge windows was dizzying to see on the polished staircase. No one was in the living room. I checked the garden at the back and kitchen, but no one was there.“This house is big enough to have a whole school.” I mumbled to myself.I decided to stay in the drawing room first. The muddy yellow light seemed to be vomiting all around the house. It tainted the beautiful mahogany desk an ugly color. The sofa was behind lined with dusty looking throw pillows that were once white. There were

“Nothing in this world is worth replacing. I didn’t do all those sacrifices for you to turn your back on me!” “AAAAHHH!” I shot straight up.My palms where sweating and my forehead felt like hell. I rubbed my forehead and exhaled deeply.“What is it?” I heard a girl’s sleepy voice. I switched the bed side lamp and saw Luna's face leaning on my shoulder.“Whoa!” I jumped and landed on the floor with a thump.“You okay?” she asked staring at me with her intense grey eyes.“No! What in the world are you doing in my bed?” I said straightening up. Trying to cover anything in my lower region if he was up. “I was tired okay.” she said averting her gaze at me. “Tired from what?” “From dragging you in to the bed after you passed out in the balcony.” she snapped. “Oh

Chapter Eight
A body crashed on me with force. My back colided with the hard ground making a loud thud. The strong aroma of fresh laundry and vanilla was filling my nose. A loud shreek was filling my ears at the same time."I can't believe it's actually you!" a high piched voice was dizzying. Her red hair was clouding my vision, some stray strands even lining up on my mouth. Her crushing warm body was suffocating. I pushed my palms on the ground and lifted the both of us up, suprising myself with my stregnth. She clung on to me like a leech. Grasping her shoulders, I pushed her at arms length and her face swam into view. A smile reaching from ear to ear, her freckled splattered cheeks and blinding violet eyes were reflecting my confusion back at me. "Sorry, but do I know you?" I squeeked. I honestly didn't know who this girl was and her eyes watching me carefully was not helping at all. "Oh come on. You can't forget me, Ian. I am too spec
