CHAPTER 8

KRISTINA'S POV

But I couldn't give up. Not when Nathan is right there, smiling brightly at me and waiting for me to join him.

After managing to keep up with him, I finally managed to climb up into his lap, and as we both sat on the large branch Nathan started humming quietly. As his fingers moved gracefully against my hips, I relaxed and soon I fell asleep.

My dreams were wonderful and beautiful, filled with warmth and joy, just like Nathan's body wrapped around mine. However, when morning arrived, I woke up alone and shivering like a baby chick who doesn't know how to fly.

This is the first time since I am with a human, I can remember having a dream of my own, and this one was no different. In fact, it seemed so real and true that I wondered whether I dreamed it or not.

However, despite my dream being pleasant I still couldn't shake off the uneasy feeling lingering in the pit of my stomach.
