LOGINTeddy’s POV
Melody’s took our delicate little bundle into her arms, her chest still shaking slightly as she nuzzled the baby close to her chest to eat. “There, there… mommy’s here. It’s gonna be okay.” Her voice was breaking slightly as she spoke to her, tears still falling as she caressed the baby’s soft locks of black hair. “Two’s okay, right?” She wouldn’t look at me when saying it, talking more to the baby than anything. “You’ll just have to get into twice as much trouble as your brother.” “I-I need to go talk to Axel and make arrangements for things.” The room was feeling too stuffy, the air stagnant to me. They had been through and melted bodies and disinfected everything while Melody was out, leaving the halls smelling like bleach and copper. “Teddy..” Melody’s voice stopped me in the door, my shoulders tensing as I felt the walls creeping in closer. “Nothing is your fault. We couldn’t have predicted any of this happening. We-we just need to figure out why this is happening; maybe even try to come up with a way to control it.” Her voice was becoming a little more stronger then, the calming effects of holding onto our precious treasure bringing out the Queen in Melody. “Because whoever is behind all of this is going to pay.” “They will.” I agreed with my wife, already going over the implications of controlling the rogues. “I love you; don’t forget that.” Her voice didn’t waver, her breathing calm and even. “And we’ll be y through this.” “I love you too, my little baker.” I turned slightly and smiled at her, not really feeling like it but still wanting to put on a calm facade for her. “I’ll be back soon.” I closed the door behind me on the way out, nodding at the six guards I now had posted there. All of them had been vetted thoroughly, no debt, family ties only to Moon Harvest, and extensive training from Axel. They were Betas and almost as bulky as us Alphas. “No one in or out unless they are on the approved list.” I gave the command, all of them going to full attention. ‘Axel; would you like to come with me to speak to Thomas?’ I sent the link, going to the front of the hospital and shifting into Howler. I needed to run, and he had been chomping at the bit since Melody and Ambrosia came out of surgery. ‘I’m still running new rounds with the security; retightening the border and making sure that all the Rogue’s are gone. Tell him I say hey.’ He sounded exhausted, which was unusual for the normally busting with energy man. ‘Thank’s brother.’ I started to sniff around near my parent’s lake, getting a feel for the land I grew up on before linking my brother. ‘Thomas, could we talk for a minute?’ ‘Sure. Rose and I are on the west end, near the runoff.’ He sent back, his voice sounding as strong and healthy as when I was younger. I had heard that He was doing well; Melody and I not really having the pleasure of running with them yet, or even the time to visit. But I needed sound advice from him; the one man, or wolf really, who always had a good head on his shoulders and a knack for seeing the broader picture. My paws ate up the ground as I ran around the lake, taking in the sight of the full moon glistening off of the water. Pretty soon, I could hear the heavy fall of paws on compacted earth as Hallow and Willow joined me, a small and adorable beagle pup doing its best to keep up. The sight had me stagger a little, my wolf and I doing a yip in amusement. ‘What’s with the tag along?’ I teased my brother, the small pup starting to bark and nip at my paws when we stopped running. ‘Be kind. That’s your new nephew now.’ Thomas huffed as Willow came up and bumped me on the shoulder in greeting, picking up the pup with her teeth on his scruff and prancing off with him. ‘Rose is smitten, and there’s nothing I can do.’ He huffed as he flopped down to the ground d to rest, Hallow’s tongue lolling out. ‘It’s good to see you, Teddy. Mom played a video of the wedding for us; you’ll have to tell Melody that Rose and I agree she looked stunning.’ ‘I agree, and I will.’ I nodded my head at him, stretching my paws and yawning a little as I settled down too. ‘I would have come, but ya know, being a wolf and all kinda makes you stand out like a sore thumb.’ I couldn’t help but chuckle through the link, glad that it seemed his dry humor was back and healed as well. ‘So does being a wolf and having a beagle as a son.’ I teased in turn. ‘Maximilian is a charming pup, so watch what you say.’ He chided with a huff. ‘Now, I’m sure you didn’t run all the way out here just to shoot the breeze while your mate is with your newborn. So… what’s going on?’ Thomas was ever perceptible as always, his keen eyes shining through Hallow’s gaze and piercing right through me. ‘You helped fight off the Rogue’s earlier, Right?’ He blinked his eyes in confirmation, waiting for me to continue. ‘They almost got to Melody, and in the process she… well… let’s just say two pups are enough for us now.’ ‘I’m sorry, Ted. But things like that are unpredictable. I’m sure Melody’s alright now though; right? You wouldn’t be out here with me otherwise.’ ‘She is, and her and the baby are doing fine now. Dad was on his way to them when the hospital was hit, so the damage there was kept to a minimal.’ ‘Good. He’s trying his best now; even begging mom to retire now too since Mark found his mate this month.’ ‘Huh’ I hadn’t known that; mom not even mentioning it when we arrived the other day. ‘He wants to join your pack too, so he can be sworn in under you and get his link to you back.’ ‘What?!’ I was left speechless for a moment, struggling to get my thoughts back into order.Shepard’s POV“My son can do with the bitch as he pleases, she is a gift for his birthday. Do not interrupt me again, or else it is you who will be next on the slab.” I got a quick affirmative from the guard, the link ending as the chanting around me started to get louder as I crowded up onto the table with the sacrifice. The old tome that was discovered in Greece thirty years ago lay open next to Jessabella’s head, the book bound in werewolf skin and written in blood nearly translated in modern day English in it. At a nod from me, the wolves in the room started the chant fully; embracing the dark science as I began to lay on top of her.“Goddess, we call your sacred name! Hear our call and come to us! Nix of the moon, daughter of the sun, Lady of the night! We call upon you, we offer you our blood, our hearts, and Life!”I moaned in ecstasy as I positioned my rod at her opening and slid home, letting the chanting set the pace of my thrusts. I could see her close her eyes in her own p
Adam’s POVI’m out of my fucking mind. I changed to myself as I carried the girl over my shoulder, trying to get out of the death trap I was now in. The drugs are making me lie a waking dream. And I was too, especially with my dirty secret of a wet dream draped over my right shoulder. My cock twitched again in my pants when she moaned after the spanking, making my skin all hot and bothered. To make matters worse, the smell of her arousal was making my wolf go insane.Fuck, now what?! I could hear someone coming a few steps ahead, the stairs leading down being the only ones I knew about. I decided that the best course of action was to act like I belonged there, and especially like I was supposed to have a woman draped on me.“Stop! Who are you?” What I was assuming was a guard called to me when I crested the top of the steps.“There you are! He said you would be here any minute, but you’re running late!” I called to him angrily.“I saw the guard glance down at his watch, his face getti
Leon’s POVSomeone handed me a glass of absinth, my drink of choice over the wine. “Can these fuck festivals get any more boring?” I sighed as my father sat down next to me.“Since when have you not enjoyed them?” He raised an eyebrow at me as he sat on his throne of females, one of them feeding him grapes off to the side like he was Dionysus. “Ahh. Has the princess caught your attention?”My face reddened a little at that, her attention in the car to my face still unforgotten. I hated to admit it, but no one had ever called me pretty before, nor looked at me with such deep and soulful eyes. “Perhaps.” I had to admit, knowing it did little to no use to lie. “I was thinking a taste of her would do me some good. She seems more than these usual mutts.”“It is because you crave power, just like me.” He nodded, his hand going to his chin to rest there as he thought. “You know… your birthday is next week. I think I’ll gift her to you. After all, a mated bitch like her would be a slap to the
Adam’s POVWhy do rich bastards have to have so many floors and hallways? I complained to myself as I turned down another hallway. And why do they have so many pictures of damned lions? The drugs in my system were making it harder to focus, the only thing keeping me going was the nagging feeling that if I did not find this person soon, some bad shit would happen. There! I found the first painting of just a single lion by itself, roaring up at the sky. Right across from it was a singular door with a man sitting by it, his eyes showing boredom and listlessness. Fuck! Play it cool, man; play it cool. “Hey; they sent up this glass of the good stuff from downstairs for ya.” I smiled as I got closer to the door, the guard stiffening his spine and standing at attention.“Guests are not supposed to be in this wing.” He growled, still taking the glass from me.“Relax, man; it’s basically a holiday! It’s not every day we get to see a Goddess.” I winked at him, watching him take a hesitant sip
“They apparently drug everyone before entering, then even more with a wine.” I whispered to Dublin, the lights around me starting to twinkle and glow with each passing second. “You’ve been drugged too?! Fuck; you need to get out of there ya twat!” He all but shouted into the line. “Relax; I’ve had worse. Plus, we haven’t seen the corazón yet.” I reminded him. It was the whole damned reason I came. The mother of all stones, and quite literally the heart of our species. I went up to the bar and snagged a beer; the cap still on making me assume that it wasn’t drugged like the rest of it. “Ah! You must be a new member. I’ve never smelled you before.” An old man with a pencil thin mustache and a deep voice greeted me, his Armani suit neatly pressed with Imperial Topaz cufflinks. “Yes, I am. I just happened to snag me an invitation not too long ago.” I chuckled, holding out my hand to shake the gentleman’s. “Harold Goshen; arts and antiquities.” “Duvall Gibbons; exotic entertainm
Lucy’s POV “Of course.” He smiled at me, taking my question as a yes. “Son, go and tell our guests to get ready for the ritual.” Leon left with the others in the room, leaving me and Shepard for a minute. “Just wait here and rest, then we’ll come and get you when it is time.” He followed the others out of the room, pulling the doors closed behind him with a grin while watching me. “Be on your best behavior.” The doors had a rattling click as a lock slid home, leaving me with the blue walls in this room looking like raindrops rolling down glass. I stayed in a pool on the floor, laying down on my ruined white dress with my arm out next to me. “I’m fuuuuucked… aren’t I?” I asked no one in particular, letting the feelings of the wolfsbane roll over me. ***** Adam’s POV “Good event sir, we are glad you could make it.” I handed an omega my invitation as I made it to the door of the swanky building, smiling and trying to look like I belonged. “Indeed. Tell me; did they really g
