Teddy’s POV

‘Melody! Melody!’ I couldn’t get through to her through the link, making my insides knot in worry as I fought my way to the hospital. The rogues were starting to thin out now, someone having torn through ahead of me and leaving behind a trail of viscera.

‘My King; Melody’s in a critical state right now, the Doctor is rushing her to operation.’ Jude linked, the worry in her voice making burst on more speed.

‘What happened?! Did the rogue’s get her?!’ I ripped the throat out of the last one, shifting into my human side just as I reached the hospital door. Thank Goddess my father had a safe room in the house. My mother had gotten all the women and children in there as soon as Axel raised the Alarm, and I could hear her through the family link calming all the children and mothers.

‘Hemorrhaging, sir. She was moved too soon after giving birth. Working on her now; but I’m closing the link to focus.’ I was glad we had brought along our own doctor, but knowing Melody was in a life threatening state had me in a panic.

The halls were covered in blood and viscera as I made my way deeper into the small hospital; one room even having a wolf torn in half. When I got to Melody’s room, there were bodies piled everywhere. ‘Where’s my baby?!’ I asked in a panic, not seeing anyone in the room at all.

“We’re down here!” Jude called from a few rooms down, a light on in a new room.

I jogged over there, almost slipping on pools of blood under me. When I got to the door, I could see my father wrapped halfway in a hospital towel holding my baby. “Took ya long enough son.” He mumbled, his large finger being held on tightly by my little baby’s hand. It looked like all three of them had just had a fresh shower, no blood or carnage left in the room. I could see that someone even got a mop bucket to wipe up anything that was trailed from the door.

“Father.” Him being here explained all of the bloodshed then, his fighting being something no lowly rogue could ever hope to match. I was irked that he had been on his way to see his new grandchild, but thanked the Goddess he did. There was no telling what would have happened if he hadn’t thinned out all the rogues who had gotten in.

“Melody’s gonna be fine.” Jude ushered me into the restroom, turning on the water to full heat as I grabbed a bar of soap. “The doctor’s the best there is, and she’s a fighter.”

“How serious is it though?” I winced in the hot spray, red pooling off of me and splashing on the walls. When June didn’t look me in the eyes, my heart caught in my throat.

“Some of the placenta hadn’t come out all the way. It tore her up pretty good and all; especially since she moved too soon. To be honest, a moment longer and she would have bled to death.”

My face went white at that, the thought of losing my Melody so soon after just marrying her something I couldn’t even fathom. “Do you think this would have been prevented if we didn’t come?” We had only come to my parent’s for the Samhain Festival, something Melody had been planning with my mother for months now.

“Every pregnancy is different, but I really blame the rogues attacking when they did. I nor the doctor had done a thorough check of her yet.” Jude looked at me apologetically as she handed me a towel, all the blood washed from my body.

“I should have tripled the security; especially after everything.” I grumbled as I went over to my father, holding out my arms for my daughter.

“Pha; if bastards want to cause problems, they’ll cause problems. If anything; use this as an opportunity to strike back.” My father reluctantly handed over Lucy, the little baby no bigger than a football in either of our hands. “Everyone loves your mate, so turn that against the rogues.”

My father had a point; something to really consider when dealing with the problem at hand. “I’ll consider it.” I nodded, already deciding that a new law would have to be enacted, something to be Melody’s and My first edict as rulers.

Knock, knock.

A nurse was at the door, her face wary and pale. The rogue attack was unexpected; raking out almost half the staff here as more wounded were rushed in for help. “The Doctor is finished with the Queen, my King.” She looked around the hall, jumping slightly when something fell in the distance. “He will have Melody out in no time. Should be about twenty minutes or so.’

“Any complications?” I hated asking it, but I needed the know. Tension through the pack link was all I felt though as Jude took her time in answering.

Her face tilted down then, her gaze remaining on the floor. “It was hard, but he was able to stop the bleeding and patch her up. There were factors to consider and her healing did not help while she was under. She’ll need bed rest and blood for today to replenish her own.”

“Anything else?” She was still not looking at me, tears escaping her eyes as she continued on.

“W-we don’t think it will be possible for her to have more pups, my King. Due to the tearing and the hemorrhaging, the scarring will be too great for her to heal correctly.”

At the news, my world came crashing down. “No.” All the plans for our future family, gone in the blink of an eye. “Where’s she?! I need to see her!” The nurse nodded at me as she lead the way out of the room, leading me down the hall as my father and June followed. Axel linked me about something, but I blocked him out; the stress currently circling through my head being too much to handle at the moment.

When we entered an untouched room, Melody had just been rolled in by two other staff; her eyes scrunching at the bright light overhead as I sat down and took her hand into mine.

Lucy’s POV “Of course.” He smiled at me, taking my question as a yes. “Son, go and tell our guests to get ready for the ritual.” Leon left with the others in the room, leaving me and Shepard for a minute. “Just wait here and rest, then we’ll come and get you when it is time.” He followed the others out of the room, pulling the doors closed behind him with a grin while watching me. “Be on your best behavior.” The doors had a rattling click as a lock slid home, leaving me with the blue walls in this room looking like raindrops rolling down glass. I stayed in a pool on the floor, laying down on my ruined white dress with my arm out next to me. “I’m fuuuuucked… aren’t I?” I asked no one in particular, letting the feelings of the wolfsbane roll over me. ***** Adam’s POV “Good event sir, we are glad you could make it.” I handed an omega my invitation as I made it to the door of the swanky building, smiling and trying to look like I belonged. “Indeed. Lucy’s POVEverything was spinning and melting; my arms and limbs not my own. I could see and feel when the wolves around me moved my body; their faces melting from fur and teeth to soft skin and human. I felt dizzy and disoriented, not being able to take account of time nor the passage of it. I closed my eyes, only to wake up in a car, the wolves around me somber and serious.“Give her another shot, we cannot have her acting out again.” The same male as before spoke, his skin melting into a skull as another shot was administered into my arm.“Bas…. tard…..” I got out, the word making me giggle. I said the last part over again, giggling my ass off at the way of how it sounded like “turd.”“Shut up.” He growled, his hand striking me across my mouth.I didn’t feel it though, the wolfsbane giving way to something other than woozy feelings, making me feel light as air and as carefree as could be.“Seems she is going into the trip phase. We cannot give her any more for the next day or two

Jon’s POV“Finally…” Suzy mumbled in the headset as the airport came into view, Chad having switched over his headset to speak to air traffic control. “Are we gonna dispose of this human when we touch down?”I nodded to her, knowing what our mission was. “No witnesses or loose ends. We can’t have diplomacy from overseas getting in the way. Plausible deniability to who actually has her,” I indicated to the princes on the floor, the girl starting to move now; “and her precious stone.”“Goddess, this thing is turning into a nightmare.” She grumbled, still not happy about our extra tag along.“Another half a day, and we’ll be sitting richer than ever; don’t ya worry.” I winked at her as the ground became closer, Chad landing it close to a hanger that was separate from the rest of the airport. I could see a private jet that was primed and ready to go, a few wolves from Black Sanctum waiting to greet us.“This is it, partners; hopefully never be seeing ya again!” Chad chuckled and turned hi

  • Rogues and Royals   Charters and Choppers

Jon’s POV “There he is!” I pointed to the black helicopter that flew overhead, the searching police getting more desperate as I heard wolves a few miles off. It sounded like they had found where we ditched the car, more than likely hit on our trail now. I put on a burst of extra speed, Suzy keeping pace with me and my cumbersome load. I could see where our ride landed, the pilot jumping out as soon as he settled and pulling open the side door. He waived at us desperately, pointing behind us at something. I dared not look as I pushed myself to the limit in my human form, my legs burning painfully. I all but threw the princess into the chopper as I climbed in myself, Suzy pulling the door shut as Chad climbed into his own spot and started the propellers to full; getting us off the ground just as the first wolf came into my view. I felt the helicopter shake a little as one wolf from the group jumped with all of their might, catching a landing bar and sliding back off to the ground

Felix’s POV “Hello, Beta Frost. It seems that Jon’s father passed about three hours ago, heart failure.” He shook his head as the ambulance went by, a body having just been loaded up into it. An old woman stood in the door of the house looking heartbroken, but her spine went stiff as she caught sight of my Uncle and I in the car. “Fuck.. damnit..” Uncle Axel punched the wheel of the car, making the officer wince. “I heard about the missing Princess, but I’ve been tied up here. I’m gonna go out and search with the rest of them now.” The officer scurried off, thinking that my Uncle was cussing at him for not searching as well. I saw the old woman motion us to the door, my uncle still slumped over the steering wheel. “Uncle, we need to go talk to her. I think she may know why we are here.” I said, a gut feeling stirring in me. He sighed and got out with me, mumbling about waiting time. “Frost… I take it you both aren’t here to give me condolences.” The white haired old woman si

Felix’s POV My Uncle gripped the steering wheel hard, his eyes glued to the road. “Now isn’t the fucking time.” He finally gritted out. “I’m heading to Jon’s parent house and your sister is missing and possibly dead.” “And I can’t very well help you find her if you’re shutting me out completely.” He hadn’t even let me go with a cruiser, the police we had at the party even offering me to ride along. “That’s not true…” he gave me a glance, the lie obvious between us. “Listen, Uncle. You’ve been there for me for as long as I can remember, and the last thing I’d ever do is hurt you or your family.” I was laying it all on the line now, knowing that if we couldn’t work together, then there wasn’t any hope of my situation getting better with him. “So if this arrangement the Goddess gave me and your daughters is too much; if it is pulling you and your family apart, then I’ll reject them for you. You’ve been like a second father to me and I’d hate to lose that relationship.” I saw hi
